A drunken pensioner passed out between railway tracks in Germany - and kept on sleeping when a train rolled over him.
Franz Zimmerman, 67, fell asleep between the tracks and didn't even wake when the locomotive thundered to an emergency stop.
Mr Zimmerman carried on sleeping until police and paramedics arrived at the scene, near Lathen, Lower Saxony, Germany.
Train driver Jens Peters, 42, said: "He was sleeping like a baby, he didn't even notice there was a train on top of him.
"I have no idea how he could sleep through the noise of the wheels screeching when I braked."
A breath test showed Zimmerman was five times over Germany's drink-drive limit. He is now facing charges of endangering public safety
