It's rather disturbing that an event like this isn't (or is prevented) from being splashed across TV screens across the nation. This one has witnesses, military and an MIB all involved:

OMG yea that was the meteor thing i saw. It was like a big fire ball just silently flying through the sky, where i saw it, it was at an altitude much higher than normal planes and going so fast it must have been going over mach 3. It was so far away and gone over the horizon in seconds. This was on the same day, only i was 8 hours ahead of california. Im in northern ireland.

I’m not at debunking here the posability of a UFO/Spacecraft, but just as an out of the Box thought, when I was a kid my Aunt use to add these little chemical wafers into her evening fires in the fireplace and us kids would get a kick out how the flames that were just minutes before dancing in reds and orages in color that then would change to burning off as blues and greens in dancing colors until the chemical wafers burned up completely, and as I am not a chemist perhaps someone here is a chemist or metallurgist and that could state which elements alone of combined could possibly be a composite in a Meteorite, it is just a hunch an outside of the box hunch, and speculation, understanding here that not all Meteorites are of the same elements as composted up of Irons...

Copper turns blue when burning. Could have been airplane debris or "space junk".

I looked around the net for other sources or reports on this incident. I found the exact same posting on a couple of UFO forums, but nothing else.

With out other sources to back it up I think this may be a case of "Creative writing" on the posters part.

Now if I'm wrong, sorry. But I would still like other sources.

Copper could very well be the source, however within the aerospace industry, Missiles and Defense weapons, they use Berylliums and gold’s and other high end exotic Metals, I did not see much uses in coppers as they are too soft and too flexible, but hay there is always the Chinese grade and the Russian grade space technologies crap, perhaps a panel upon a cargo door but even those are not coppers, there must be other metals that burn greens and blues…

Yes, that always seems to be the thing with these stories. There are dates, times, places, names of people, but nothing more ever seems to be heard, and no one else ever (or hardly ever) seems to come up with any corroborative evidence. Is it all hushed up? Or is there a more mundane reason?

ahhh...copper flames...I was about to suggest that one...good logical ...if some meteorite had chunks of copper compounds in it could that have explained the big blue-green flames? Anyone expert about meteors wanna chime in here?

Copper that size would have probably made a loud crash. More people would have heard this crash and gotten interviewed. Probably some foo fighter testing type thing or some kind of really light meteor. Maybe it was like an alien warplane that was fighting something and had to escape to Earth.

From what was sad about the greenish colored flames it sounds like a meteorite. I think it's iron that glows that color when it is burned (or burns up). Iron is the most common metal in the universe, but it's not the sort of stuff you would make a spaceship out of

I saw a "special" investigation piece on a local news station in Las Vegas about this very incident. I hadn't heard of it until a couple nights ago, (i live up in Reno, NV). Anyways they were saying that this is very suspicious, and that some of the people involved are either missing or couldn't be contacted which was even more interesting. I don't know if this is necessarily an alien encounter, but there is absolutely a coverup by the government.
