odinsgrl,

I'm going to merge your thread with the much larger one that specifically discusses the movie at length and also details the thoughts and impressions of many of the members who watched it. Their opinions address the questions you brought up and it also saves everyone from repeating themselves.

I was quite shocked with the movie to be honest, not very much about what happened, but HOW it happened. I saw it in theatres twice, the first one in the opening weekend and, trust me, I left so scared that I had to turn on my discman and listen to Metallica to stop thinking about it. Anyways, I thought about it later, and let's just say that it was very well done, and leaves you thinking, like few have done (Blade Runner -bow to the king-, The Matrix, etc.), so I can say that it's one of my fav movies. thumbsup.gif

I wasn't particularly shocked by this film, whether that was because I'm a non-christian or non religious person I don't know.

The most exciting part about it for me was getting into an 18 film lol.

I thought it was well made and quite insightful to the events occurring in the Bible. I wouldn't buy it on DVD though, I'm glad I saw it as I wanted to see it to see what all the fuss was about!
