Just have been doing some research on them, and was wondering what is your guys take on them?

they are an embarassment, a disgrace to our general population, included the United States of America on intelligent life and the Freedom of Information Act.
Britain, Mexico, and Italy are currently releasing more information than the USA on UFOs. Very sad as each UFO rolls like a scroll in the clouds, and someone goes "Awww amazing", or if someone unexpectantly zaps aboard an unknown craft from a friendly experiance or have some unfriendly anal probe/surgical injection, you wont have a clue from your own government agency. But they know.

Those who just dismiss the whole affair as, "Nothing more than an urban myth", would do well to read up on it a bit more.
The main problem is this. There are several threads that have been drawn together and all lumped under the same banner. I know for sure that here in Britain, suits from the ministry, or should i say, "Claiming to be from the ministry", visited many people who reported particularly interesting sightings.
The guy, who took that picture with the figure, in what looks like a space suit, peering over his daughters shoulder, was visited and asked by a couple of such *suits* to show him exactly t where the picture was taken. They then, he claims, left him standing there and just drove off after he showed them the site.
Over the years, and i think those who have been involved with the subject will back me up on this, there have, indeed, been some rather strange occurrences with UFO witnesses.
When i say strange, i mean that, even those who made no report of seeing such an object have had some disturbing experiences in its' aftermath.
Often people have a sense that, they are being watched. Now, this might well have something to do with the human psyche reacting to the possibility of Extra Terrestrial life. It is such a shift of paradigm for many people that a UFO experience might well cause this to well up within their psyche. However i have spoken to a couple of people who were convinced that their house had been entered and *searched* in the aftermath of a sighting, both reported and unreported. In these cases there is, seemingly, nothing taken but something very personal , to them, has been moved. It might take a couple of weeks after the impression of having been intruded upon, for this to show up, however, it has been a bit of a theme.
I have to say, i have not really heard of any of these cases since the mid to late 1980s. Having said that, from the inception of the modern phenomenon, through to this period it was not an uncommon tale in the aftermath of a sighting. As already mentioned, the really weird thing is that, it happened to people who, sometimes, never told another single person about what had happened to them.
I mentioned on another thread a tale that a very down to earth lady told me. She never reported the UFO incident but couldn't shake off the feeling she was being watched for quite a while after. Then one day, a couple of weeks after the event she was approached by a neatly dressed man whilst walking through her town centre. He walked up to her and simply said. "Some things are best left untold and unspoken about" or words to that effect. They then strode off never to be seen again.
What i would say about it all is this. Various forms, of what came to be known as the MIBs, seemed to have disappeared in line with the media's waning interest in simple cases of a sighting. In the 50s/60s/70s the simple sighting of a UFO often made the national press. This was at a time, when in Britain, virtually very household had at least one daily and Sunday newspaper. In short, your name was broadcast to millions over the breakfast table. With the advent of the net, and uncensored *reporting* of events, since the late 80s, the MIBs seem to have hung up their suits and quietly vanished back into the matrix...

I'm taking your question seriously. While Gray Barker didn't invent the MIB by himself, he certainly did as much as anyone to popularize it. That's why I posted it's his fault.

If Gray Barker were alive today, he'd think he'd died and gone to heaven. Seems that now everyone has heard of the "Men in Black," a concept he first raised to prominence in UFO lore.

The well respected British Ufologist Jenny Randalls has written an excellent book about the subject called, funnily enough,'Men in Black'.
It collates all the witness testimony down the years of all the people who have had encounters with these cheeky fellows- theres some very strange accounts which are hard to dispute due to the crediblity and calibre of the witnesses.
Its definitely worth a read if your interested in the subject.
Cheers Karl
