Hello all,
I wanted to share this experience that my 18 year old cousin told me. We live in a 2 bedroom apt. & last week she said she saw my light on (which I turn on to read to fall back asleep). She saw a "shadow" which looked reflected off my door to the hallway. Our rooms are about a 8 foot distance from each other and she saw the shadow by the bathroom( which is like maybe half that distance.) She said that when I turned off the light the "shadow",was still there, and it continued to move down the hall till it reached her bedroom door. She told me it stood there at what seemed as about 30 mins, and it had a shape of a man and as she described "it was darker than her dark room." I just wanted to get some feedback on this.

If I saw an anthropomorphic shadow hanging my darkened hallway for at least several minutes, I'd have called the police. My very first thought would be botched robbery.

Why didn't she get up to see what it was? 30 minutes is a long time to be staring at a shadow in the hall.

I think "harmless" remains to be seen. There may be adverse effects in the future. I have to concur with my firends, that 30 minutes is a long time NOT to investigate the anomaly. The typical response is..."What do you want?". Another more fortified approach is to throw off the blanket and charge the shape firing several rounds from your .357 Magnum you keep under your pillow. (or maybe that's just me). In any case. 30 minutes is a long time to just lay there shaking in fear. Especially with others right down the hall for back-up. ~Jackal

I probably would have fallen back asleep after 10 minutes..Staring at something does that to me.....

I hear you, Goalie. It is probably just some Shadow Pervert, watching an 18 year old hottie sleep. No telling what he's doing out there in that hallway! lol. Shoot him, or ignore him. Either way.

She said it seemed or felt like 30 mins. i don't think she timed it..

If you were in the room at the time (she said she saw you turn off your light), why did she just lie in bed for half an hour doing nothing, she could have called out to you, banged for attention, screamed.
Hmmmm, I think she saw a shadow and has a fertile imagination personally, it just doesn't ring true. Or she could be trying to scare you.

We don't leave windows open or unlocked. Plus my cousin's parents sleep in the front part of the apt. (Also, she knew it wasn't her father because she could her him snoring, and the "shadow" was too tall to be her mom.
