Not sure on the first question but for the second, try a program called Media Monkey. I found some good reviews of it when I was searching for help for my non ipod mp3 player and it seems to work well. It should work with multiple different brands of mp3 player and has quite a few useful features. It is also free. There are other free programs out there as well.

Yes, all you need to do is turn off your 'protected' mode. Be sure you have a decent anti-virus program though with fire-wall protection, otherwise you're setting yourself up for alot of trouble. This will also disable the 'spyware' blocker.

Yep, that's exactly right.

I actually enable the Windows firewall, but turn everything else off and run in Administrative mode. This does throw some flags like do you really really really really want to install this. But mostly it's pretty warning free.

All I cant say is Vista has by far been the most problems I ever have had with a computer! Or laptop I should say I have never had so many problems using a laptop/computer since I had vista...way to complicated and way to many restrictions.

Not sure why that is... Vista is pretty easy to use.

And remember, the computer using public asked Microsoft to put more restrictions in the OS... they were tired of virus'... careful of what you ask for, you just might get it.

No need to apologize, I was thinking the exact same thing!!! thumbsup.gif There was no need for Vista (It was like reinventing the wheel in an octagon shape then telling everyone you just have to knock off the corners and it will work fine)
