There are some fascinating hobbies or anything that you always love to do that turns into a successful careers. Just like for instance, those who have passion for sports like playing basketball, soccer, swimming... they were mold into an outstanding athlets. Some people who love music are already a great performers on the concert scene. As for me, I love films a lot. It all started in watching beautiful movies since I was a child. Now I'm into filmmaking and I hope to one of the respected filmmakers in the future.

Kinda interesting... when I was a kid I had a hobby of collecting old beer cans and bottle caps (had quite a nice collection too) ... and today I LOVE BEER. I just wish I could make a career out of drinking it. grin2.gif

I guess in retrospect, I have always loved computers and I've been using them since the mid-80's. I did end up in the computer industry, but it was by accident I guess. Kind of a right time right place kind of deal.

What I really love is jewelry making, it's a total hobby of mine, and I'd love to expand that hobby into stone cutting and metal casting. Unfortunately, finding someone to teach those skills is darn near impossible.

I'd make a career change to jewelry design and making if I could find a mentor that would teach me the skills I need to go from artisan to professional.

Until then, I'll hang in the world of software and torture people with my code. LOL.

A friend of mine loved vampires (as i like dragons) and researched them as a hobby for the better part of 15 years. Now she gives talks about vampires at dinners as her job. She does quite well.

I collect arrowheads and other Native american artifacts. Only those on the surface and with the permission of the landowners.
