Hi Guys
I've been away for a couple of weeks and when I came back, I uploaded my photos and came across two different light anomalies.
The first one was taken of my eldest on the beach, I think it's probably sun related, but I have no idea really.
The second one is more interesting, it was taken at a Cyder Farm in Cornwall, the actual house to this farm is a church that's been converted into a home, it has grave stones all around it up to the front door and back door. It's odd to see their washing hanging up amongst the graves.
Anyway, the photo was of my youngest son and I noticed immediately on the camera that there was a mist by his side. Also, it seems a human sort of size and seems to be hidden behind him. This was taken in an old stable, it is open fronted with a couple of shire horses. There was no fire on at the time.
I'm not saying these are paranormal, though they could be - that's why I'd like your input.

The first one is so painfully obviously from the sun. The second one, however, is much more intriguing. Did you see mist when you took the picture, or after when it was developed? I deffenitely do not think it is smoke. Also probably just from the sun, but interesting.
Edit: also, everytime I see your avatar I smile. It's so cute

OMG ((Reg)) Your children are absolutely adorable, good job!! The first one could be from the sun, Im not sure. The second one however is strange..At first it appeared to be out of focus, but it isnt. Then I thought maybe motion blur, but dont think it is.I always get suspicious when I see a pic like this where there appears to be movement or activity around one certain person or area. The mist beside him "could" be flash related, but again I am not sure, or its an anomaly. I dont see anything behind him though, could you point it out? What I did notice is it kinda looks like a hand on his head? JN

The first one looks like the sun but the second one is a little strange. Could it be a glare?

It looks like you had a good vacation!
When I saw the first one I thought of the difference I get when I take pictures and my wife takes pictures...she has really long hair and I have really short hair...hers gets blown into frame from time to time...out of focus (too close to focus on) and highlighted by the sun, the first one looks like a golden brown/blonde hair to me...just my first thought...
The second one is definately more interesting, the first thing I thought was motion blur, but motion blur doesnt match the size of the cloud, and usually motion blur will follow to where the subject is in the photo, not stop and start. It is hard to tell relative to the boy that the anomoly is, so it is hard to say size. It is a good photo. Is that the original size? Did the pic come from a digital camera?

This is exactly what i thought the second i saw it, i am pretty sure it is a stray piece of hair. i have had this happen as well. even my dark brown hair looks like that.
2nd one i am not so sure on, pretty cool picture, and adorable kids!

Spooky Shagswell (yeah baby, that's a very Austin Powers name) - no the fire in the corner definantly wasn't on, this little boy is profoundly Autistic and has a tendency to run into roads, run away, he would see no danger in a fire, we have to watch his every move so I know the fire wasn't on. I doubt it's been lit in years.
Actually JN, your enhancement shows that it's in front of the fire place, you can see the mist is in front of the tongues that are hanging above it.
I couldn't see anything other than the mist, there's a much maligned orb over his legs too.
I think it's the shape of the mist that I find interesting and it's positioning. I have no idea about photography and anomalies at all, so I don't know if it is a glare, wouldn't a glare come from a light source and spread out?

Yes, it could well be a hair, good call.
The photo was from a digital camera, all I did to it was reduce it's size several times as none of my photos fit on UM without being reduced. I reduced it to 80% 4 times I think it was. It hasn't been enhanced at all, though JN's enhancement brings it up well.

Are there other pictures of the boy that have any thing similar, this maybe something he has around him all the time...

Your son is so cute Reg..I see the tongues and saw them before, but thought it was my eyes lol..Good picture girl..Looks to me as if your son is protected. I can see a whiteish hand on his head, so that just backs up my theory on the pic and your boy...JMO..JN

Hehe, I meant the iron tongues hanging on the wall - love it! I think it was a blacksmiths or the iron work was for the horses in days gone by, it's a really old building. Your enhancement was ace JN.
Edit: JN - it's tongs not tongues!! that's really made me laugh, me and my typos!

Hey Reg! The second pic you have is interesting.
It also makes me think back of how my grandmother's house was set up years ago. She had hanging antique tools on her brick wall in her living room. But, in that, she also had some native american relics hanging that were found in a grave by my uncle. She had began to have a lot of very disturbing incidents after the fact, and eventually made my uncle put them back into those graves like he found them. The incidents eventually stopped.

Hi Shankpin
I'm convinced objects can cause hauntings, like you say with your grandmother. We went to a victorian village recently, it was huge and everything in it was from that era, that place had such a palpable vibe to it, it was pretty scary though that wasn't the idea behind it. Even my son said it was a freaky place.

hmm, 1st one has been pretty much answered, 2nd one I believe is dust with light being reflected off it, as the mist is in the light.

The second photo could be dust that was disturbed by the boys explorations. Thank God we aren't TAPS, or it would be dismissed for just that reason. I am glad to see that people will actually explore all the normal prospects, still leaving the potential for paranormal possibilities. The picture is slightly out of focus, and appears to be a normal photo from a standard camera with no special equipment (lenses or lighting) involved. The anomaly is roughly in the shape of the boy, above and behind him. The source of light is in the lower half of the photo (possibly restricted by the opening heighth of the door itself) and appears to be sunlight coming in from the doorway. Upon further inspection of the photo, I recant my first theory that the anomaly is possibly dust, because of the centralized nature of the anomaly, and it occurs nowhere else in the photo. The anomaly, although very very feint, appears to the left of the boy as well, in a much broader less distinct manner. This is quite noticable by tilting the screen on your lap top. What is most noteworthy, is the dashing good looks of the boy, and he is certain to break the hearts of many a school girl. You must be very proud Reg. I would conclude (without the benefit of spectral analysis) that the anomaly is of natural origin from one of many common lens/light malnormities. The picture is most thought provoking however. Thanks for the post!

If you'll notice the second one the mist seems to be in the fireplace, also look at the reflection of the sun on the workshop tools.....this looks like a reflection of the sun off the dust inside the fireplace.

Very interesting photo(2nd one). It sure does seem like a mist of some sort. It seems to be surrounding him. He may have extra Angels on duty with him because of his autism. Staying very near to protect him. I have a neice and nephew with that disease and like you said, your boy has no sense of fear or danger and they don't seem to either. He sure is a cutie! Have any of these anomolies turned up in any other photos with him? If so, post them so that we can compare the mists. Bless you and your family! dk

My initial thoughts on viewing these photos seems to be in agreement with a few others here. I think the first pic is of a stray hair in front of the lens and the second one is dust being illuminated by the sun, creating a mist-like image.
Cool pictures, though! You have a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing!!

There is a water source in the area like a lake or river. They can create mists.

I'm sure the horses had a drink, but there wasn't a significant water source there, but I don't see why dust would be exempt from matrixing! (I still can't spell parad.., peradol.., paredol..)
