I don't think its so much that they are different as it is that they are the same. To me, its the American version of most haunted. Except that the psychic on most haunted got alot more laughs out of me. However if you like the show then more power to you. I'm happy that there are some that get pleasure out of it. . .well, I get pleasure out of it. .but more because I'm laughing. . .No offense. I just take most of those shows as entertainment only.

I'll be happy for you. Personally, I hate the show. But if you're excited to see the new episodes, more power to you.

I just don't get all the animosity against PRS. A lot of people here constantly profess to "working together", "different ideas and approaches", "everyone contributing to the field" etc etc etc.

But then PRS get's ripped for their approach because it's more spiritual and less technical.

I don't get it.

I'm with you MP, what is the big deal? Yet some discuss TAPS like they are Gods. Personally I enjoy that show, its fun and interesting. If it were that bad, it wouldnt be on for a second season..JN

Speaking of which, has anyone seen Chip's new show? Paranormal kids? He actually seems less dramatic on it.

Personally speaking, I just find them way too over the top. But would I work with them? Absolutely. While I find their methods a tad silly at times, it wouldn't prevent me from going on a case with them. Theoretically, I could learn something.

I get aggravated with TAPS because they find a semi-hot spot and investigate for a couple of hours but never return for further investigating of the same place..Like that episode when they went to Myrtles Plantation...Paranormal state is just impossible to watch because of the editing..

They throw in suspenseful music and cut to a commercial and then come back with the suspenseful music and nothing too special is even going on..I watched one episode of that show and couldn't stand that David The Gnome looking forest goblin host dude...TAPS is also annoying because they have to make sure they explain what an EVP is for every episode...taking up half of the show..But if you can put up with it and enjoy it then I'm happy for you.

The last episode of Season One. The episode with the girl who could sense. She said somewhere that A&E cut off a lot of stuff.

Plus they have to fit everything into 30 minutes? So the editting is sometimes the problem. =/

I was on another site, with a message board and the woman stated she had a demonic infestation and PRS was supposed to go to her home in June. Considering her description of the events, I will know it when I see it. I enjoy the show too Moon!! JN

They're a different type of group, who's to say they're right or wrong in what they do. It's what works for them & they're not going to change for those that don't agree with them. I'm not particularly a fan of the show but I am a fan of them. I've gotten a chance to meet with them a few times & spoke to several of them for a while & they're really awesome people. They really do care about the people that they investigate for. I may not like the way they investigate but I would work with them.

Are they going to actually investigate this season? Will they show evidence? If I see another demon episode, you have to admit, why is it almost every investigation they conduct there is a demon!?

A lot of people hated on this show, I was actually rather surprised. I liked it. Okay, so they were a bit melodramatic, but they're also young, and its a different investigation style. Not everyone has to be like TAPS. I'll be watching.

There was a few with Demonics, but most are human spirits, or malevolent. BTW why doesnt TAPS ever investigate a Demonic haunting? They tell the clients "No one is getting hurt so dont worry about it." People have been slapped, and pushed, but they debunked the water heaters..GOOD JOB TAPS LOL..JN

TAPS also do not air hundreds of private home investigations they do. They have done a few episodes of possible demonic hauntings. They even had a demonologist bless their house of negative energy.,. You probably missed those episodes?

PRS has only been on TV one season. Not much time to air "hundreds of private home investigations".

How quickly people forget that was mainly GH's thing the first 2 seasons of the show. Then they got into more famous places.

I for one prefer homes. If you're goal really is to help people, who are you going to help ina museum or abandoned prison?

For someone who is so against the show & don't agree with their methods, you sure know alot about their episodes. I would have thought that when you dislike a show & the group, you wouldn't want to watch. Seems to me you only watch so you can rip on them on these boards . Me personally, if I don't like a show I JUST DONT WATCH!

I dislike them for personal reasons. To each their own. I know I have bashed them before... but I too promote working together. But a good friend of mine from the Berkshire Paranormal once told me which is so very true is... WE ALL DO THE SAME THING. NO ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER TEAM.

I've had some personal things done to me in this field which have changed my views. This is why I have a different opinion towards TAPS and anyone else I may have animosity with. We all need to support each other. If a team lacks the ability of, or may not live up to your expectations instead of bashing someone, perhaps help them out? If they are willing to listen and learn, there's nothing wrong with that approach?

Like Master Po said in his article. Just because you have a TV show or radio show doesn't mean you've earned the right to call yourself great. All things in those regards you must earn with respect, value, and so forth. I spent less time on this forum. I prefer to spend time on learning, educating, writing and praising those that make good effort.

I know you dislike them for personal reasons so I'm just curious as to why you watch the show & then waste your time & enegy posting on a PRS topic.

I watch it to stay in the loop, not to rip into anyone. My "last" reply was nothing but being positive and supporting someone's effort.

It's wasting time & energy when you obviously dislike them alot & have posted more than a dozen posts on how they're amatuers & inexperienced & how they wronged you & you've ranted & raved about it alot & then all of a sudden you support them & watch their show? You say you watch it to stay in the loop... the loop of what, you dont like them. I haven't seen 1 positive post that you've written about them.

I am confused, didn't you just bash their show... and then you have the audacity to say in the same sentence that you promote working together. I am sorry Pluto, but that was one of the most hypocritical responses i have ever seen, Not to mention that I have read other things you have written in the past on these boards that most certainly do not promote working together. I am not trying to be rude, but even if you have "personal reasons" for disliking someone, by announcing that, you have just taken the "personal" out of it, and made it public. not very professional IMO.

as far as everyone else. I think all the different styles of research is what makes this field so interesting, we could all stand to learn a thing or two from each other. If you have ever read any of my posts, most people know that i am a super technical and analytical person, not big on the spiritual thing, but i certainly do respect anyone who is doing anything for this field, just because it may not be my cup of tea, doesn't mean it isn't right.

i watch Paranormal State all the time, it is a television show, just like Ghost Hunters, designed for our entertainment, if we learn from it, great... if not great too

There's nothing wrong with being positive Pluto but when you've made your dislike of PRS so public many many times, it's hard to swallow that now you watch the show & support it. Supporting MasterPo's article has nothing to do with this. I honestly am not trying to be a jerk, but an explanation would be most helpful since you did not answer me initially. why would you tell people in a public forum of your "personal qualms" with people? also if you want there to be unity in this field, why would your first natural response to me questioning you, mention that you have so much you could say about other people, that doesn't seem very unified to me.

I have no problems with you, I don't even know you. I have just been getting rather frustrated with people in general saying that they stand for something, when in fact they their words say the absolute opposite. finding a way to unify this field is an amazing and super delicate feat, if you truly want to have a major part in unifying this field, you can lead by example. I understand that your second post was mostly positive, however, that followed a post that was not positive, thus making that post rather contradictory.

this is not the first time that I have seen you called out on this forum, only to respond with the fact that you know so much about everyone and their groups and you could exploit them similar to this response:
