i Remember watching that for the first time in the cinema, it was a pretty freaky scene...prolly the only freaky scene in signs actually lol, i'm pretty sure not many people would believe that if they saw it on the news these days...seeing as no one really believes what they see anymore...

Signs was a good movie. xD Great for some laughs. I really liked it. That part was one of my favorites, especially with What's-His-Name in the closet. xD!

That was a pretty good movie. I was a little disappointed that it had a religious theme but it was still ok. The part that freaked me out the most was when they thought all the aliens were gone. They came out of the basement, then they saw the reflection in the TV. If I saw that news cast I think I would be skeptical but a little scared like "what if". I think a lot of gullible people would panic for sure.

in 1938 there was a radio show called war of the worlds [link]that pretended that martians were attacking this sounded so realistic that all across america there was mass panic and people were buying out shops and moving into bunkers now think wat would happen if there was a report nowadays of some alien attack or just a vid of an alien runnin aorund it would be 1938 all over again

If it was a bunch of random aliens, yeah I'd feak out.

If it was the Signs aliens I'd just buy a water gun tongue.gif

The shopping list:
1. shotgun
2. Shells
3. Food
4. Water
5. Squirtgun(If they should be aliens of the Signs variety) supersoaker...whatever...
6. Lumber/Nails for barricade.
7. Actually I would stop by the clothing store on the way to the gun store to replace the stinky underwear..."Excuse me...fresh pair of 34's please...ummm...just saw the alien up close...you know how it is...do you carry air fresheners by chance?"

i would freak if an invasion like that occured, you would really have to barricade yourself in like a basement or something like that, at least get a gas mask if they already know about the poisons they release.

seems like weapons would be idealistic, probably close combat, like a sword or something, but i could take ET tongue.gif

Ditto!

I saw this in the theater and it was one of the most effective scenes in the movie. The 'handheld' effect was spot-on. I was also creeped out by the alien's shadow pacing back and forth like a caged tiger when it was locked in the pantry.

I won't go into my feelings about the rest of the movie here except to say that sophisticated aliens who wanted to invade our planet and harvest us for food wouldn't attack (a) naked, (cool.gif essentially weaponless, their only real weapon being a poisonous gas that can't even kill an already-sick little boy; © when our planets & even our bodies are at least 2/3 water and the stuff is like acid to them.

Okay, one more thing: when your movie features an alien invasion, its theme is not about the renewal of one man's spirituality.
