WARRIOR FOR THE LIGHT
This show involves getting together with the families of children with special gifts...Some can speak to the dead and see them such as a medium, others can do haelings and sense auras and or disruptions in them and sense where someone has sickness within their bodies like an empath....

The team that works with the children helps them understand their gifts and works with the children and the parents. Because alot of times the parents dont beleive the kids and what theyre telling them...

It really provides for healing within the family and understanding for both parent and the children with the gifts...
Wonderful Show!

Anyine see it??? Monday night I beleive on A&E

I did. I don't have much anything to say about it at the moment, though.

I think its simply exploitation. I can't think of any sort of therapy than can come from a program.
& the worst part is we don't even know if these kids are really and truly seeing spirits, or are they just caught up in their own wild and very vivid/active imaginations.. as many kids are known to have.. suggesting things like "you are haunted" just to a 9 year old just doesn't sit with me very well.

Aside from agreeing about the show gaining notority from the kids gifts.....
I came away with a feeling of resolution feeling that the parent now had confirmation from another source, that the child indeed was telling the truth, and it seemed to provide comfort to the child, that now "someone" else beleived her and mom now beleives her too...and best of all they had proof.

I couldnt imagine being 9yo and trying to tell my mom about what I was seeing and experiencing, and no one beleiving me...
Not to mention that my mom would be getting very angry at me for thinking I was making all this stuff up....

The girl had the name of the person she was seeing, and the team researched and found it to be as the child said..the name, the difference in speling it the certain way and all....I saw the look on the moms face and the child when this came to light....I felt so releived for her....

Is it somewhat explotation? for the show perhaps , yes... I agree with you...but I think it is doing more good than harm for the child....
I think it helped them to see that they were not alone... and there were others that were like them. So they could relate to the other kids that were brought together for the show...

I felt his reason for saying that was more to try to explain what was going on with her, and to offer explanation to what she was experiencing....

I think in a situation like this the kids an only get help and understanding from a "beleiver" in the world in which they live.....
like another medium who can explain it to them, whats happening, how to handle it, what to expect, and how to take control of it.... Look what we as adults go thru when we say we have gifts....

Blessings

I actually thought it was a great show. I liked it alot!

I saw it, I thought it was interesting but mostly it just seemed like outright exploitation. I thought the sweetest part was when the girl drew the picture of the place they were going, before even seeing it and it was dead on. That part was amazing.

it would be awesome if someone would provide a link to a video of this, i'd like to see it happy.gif

If you're talking about the drawing:
Psychic Kids-Ghost Of Freddie Pt2 At around 6:22 it explains and shows the girls drawing.
If you're talking about the entire episode, each part can be accessed to the right in the related videos.

Thank so much Asphodel for the link and correct name... I couldnt remember the name..... It IS Phsychic kids.

Yeppers, I was impressed with it too. The kids are truly gifted....I can only hope they use their gitft for the good and dont let the maturity level interferre with it at their young ages.... Id hate to see them lose the gift.

I think at this age, they more than likely dont consider it a gift. I think they are more struggling with it at this age to understand.

Just saw the show on youtube. I was mostly intrigued by Faith's experiences seeing Freddie and his mom... especially the fact that there was proof that she isn't lying. It was shocking seeing that document...
but what was that Faith's painting about? if i understood well it was Freddie, that wasn't a nice expression on his face :/

I felt really bad because you could see the strain of the relationship between the kids & the moms simply because they couldnt understand it or being afraid of them having a mental illness. It must be difficult for both sides. Those kids are really amazing & I'm so glad that they were validated in what they were seeing & feeling so that the mothers could finally have piece of mind.

You're most welcome, WARRIOR and Anukis.

I like that the girls finally had the chance to make friends. They were all picked on, and seemed to have absolutely no one. sad.gif

I have to unfortunately agree. It felt like the kids were being led on and then the other mediums were just trying to one up the kids. It made for some funny stuff on "The SOUP" on E!

I just got through watching the entire show on YouTube. It was very distressing at first, but the positive turn-about towards the end was relieving.

Faith did have some credibility issues with me at first, but one thing she said made me change my mind. When they were trying to contact the spirits at one point, she said to her mother that Catherine, the spirit mom, was touching her own mother's hair. The mom replied, "You mean she's going to touch my hair?" but Faith corrected her and said, "No, she IS touching your hair." This had a ring of truth to it. I think a liar would have gone along with her mother's statement, because obviously the mother wasn't feeling anything yet. But she was adament that the ghost WAS touching her hair at that moment--she wasn't going to just go along with her mother's suggestion because it would have been easier.

I was pretty impressed overall. Finding records of Freddie and Catherine was the icing on the cake. I'm happy for Faith and her family.

My heart went out to those poor mothers--I know how distressing it is to not be able to help your child. I think that is why I don't believe this show was taking advantage of their situations in a negative way. Something good came of it, and sharing it with the public may help other parents to understand and help their psychic children.

Am I the only one who feels this show was outright exploiting these kids?

If so, I'll shut my mouth, and I wont so another word..

I have to go on my instinct, as Ive learned to do, and my first instinct was I found this show appalling. Sickening even.

Yeah it is exploitation at its finest. Another episode aired last night, I fell asleep and missed it though. Is it just me or do all the "Psychic" adults on this show seem to fit a generic mold? What I mean is, they look like a million other psychics I've seen on television. Maybe the networks have criteria for what a psychic is 'supposed' to look like haha.

Totally. A & E is exploiting them and their stupid parents are helping them do it. Pitiful.

i second that - exploitation

I know what you mean Sunni, however look at what kids watch on TV even during the day. Seems everything is sex, and violence. Also, look at the mothers who like Patsy Ramsey exploiting her JonBenet and looked what happened there? To me, these are kids with a gift and are taught out to cope with it, and to meet others so they dont feel alone. Seems the Mothers are psychic too, or some of them and we know it can be genetic. Each child who is a medium or psychic feels better at the end, and learn how to block, control and or use their gift..JMO..JN

Hi JN...
While I agree there is "some exploitation" of the kids for the show.... I agree with you that the end result out weighs the other aspect... As long as it continues to seem to help them, Im good with it.

Does anyone else think the research done on Freddie and Catherine was likely just BS? I thought Faith was full of it from the start and the "research" didn't change my mind. I don't think it's merely exploitation. I think it's a load of crap as well. I felt horrible for the older brother of the girl. Immediately Chip, the shrink, AND his parents made him feel guilty for not buying into it. They were so angry that he'd mess up their persuasion of the 14-year-old. It was cruel. The 14-year-old was such an awful actor in the bunk house. His tone of voice was all wrong.
