Has anyone actually ever seen magic before? Not the pull a rabbit out of a hat kind of magic, but like I don't know someone making fire with their mind or something like that.
AndyThorley
Such things are not possible.

Thus no.

I guess I run the risk here of turning this into a religious debate but the 'chief priests' of Moses day were able to do things like that.

I believe in magic. original.gif Never actually seen it but the mind is the most powerful
tool in the universe. blink.gif

I think if you beleive in spirit energy than magic is possible.
Nordic_Dragon
anyone who says "magic is not possible" is sooooo closed minded, like THEY know the secrets of the universe, to think that everything is materialistic is sad...yeah i respect what
you believe but i disagree completely coz we're in no place to say something like that exists or not when us humans here on earth actually know hardly anything about it. but dont now kill me, im just saying what i think...like you did, like we all do here. thumbsup.gif
AndyThorley
Careful there, ND...get any more open minded and your brain'll fall out

The point is that we DO know the basic rules of life, the universe and everything...
Namely: Things cannot be created from nothing.

I've seen one of my buddies make it rain on more than one occasion by drawing the image of a turtle in the sand, then he spits on the turtle and chants something in the Choctaw language. 9 times out of 10 it will rain within 12 hours. It could be magic....or just the Oklahoma weather. Sometimes there won't be a cloud in the sky, then there is a thunderstorm a few minutes later.

It's pretty cool to see him do the ritual anyway.

I am short on time so I overlooked most of your responses to post this.

Seen magic? HA! I have done magic. I do not mean that shitty rabbit crap either, I mean the magic that has been classified as dark arts and ect.

To put some light on the religion part, if you go by the christian bible, it clearly says of magic deeds that have been done, In the old testoment it says not to practice sorcery, IT NEVER DENIES MAGIC! I have never seen any ancient source deny magic. That was why I took it up, and to date I have performed multiple incantations that have had various results.

In my younger days I have done magic... once i performed a revenger ritual and the person i aimed it at was (and I have witnesses to prove it) walking toward his home when suddenly three horses that had never been seen before or since ran him over flat... he was injured but not killed. While he was unconcious, he said he saw me appear to him as a coal black wolf with green eyes and then turn into myself. At that point I explained to him i would be haunting his a** for the rest of his life.

That was ten years ago and to this day he swears that when he thinks about sleeping with another woman (the whole thing was done because he cheated on me) or other 'bad' things, he hears a wolf howl in the distance and sometiems it haunts his dreams. It made such an impression he had it tattooed on his arm! No, we're not together now..

I was not there when it happened, I just know what he, his mother, and three neighbors saw. Or say they saw. I am not a witch, I have no idea how this happened and could be the world's biggest coincidense. To be fair he did live in an area where horses outnumbered people-- so ya know. As for the dream, I have said once and will say again-- I am not a shapeshifter that I know of..

But i do believe in Karma, maybe he just deserved to be run over..

This is what I have to say. DONT DOUBT WHAT YOU DONT KNOW, I have seen some crazy things, stuff that makes me question my own sanity, magic is not to be taken lightly, if you say magic doesnt exist, then your saying religion doesnt exist, some things are best left alone, how do you think the gods we worship were able to do all that is preached, unless you just want to call them fake, then jesus was fake, just some guy who knew how to impress people with ilusions, and payed in full for his "lies", however the faithful will believe and thus, they believe in magic. There are darker things on the earth than you know, I will never doubt anything unless proven in every single way possible and that is unlikely. And also, dont belittle the ones who practice arcane arts. One might just know something and could use it.

I've always appreciated him for this, and for how much work he puts into his public persona and his illusions. However, hooking up with Uri "Magicnetic Thumb" Geller cost him some points with me. I hope it paid well.

To start did you need to bring back a thread that was 3 years old. Second, no magic sorry.

That makes no sense. There is no belittling. Its just a fact, no proof of magic=no magic. Good day.

#1 I didnt start the thread. #2 Ill post where I please. #3 You are entitled to your beliefe I never said it was magic. Simply something that randomly happened. I'm not a believer in magic and curses as it is..but weird things happen. And when they do the normal person does not have a camera in their pocket to catch it. Again, I didn't make any claim-- I was simply told it happened. Maybe a case of his guilty conscience brought him bad luck. I've seen that happen before.

#4- yes-- yes that quote did make sense.

there, opinion stated and we all know what opinions are like...

BUT , you necroposted a 3 year old thread. You might want to notice the other quotes weren't from you and I wasn't referring to you on them.
MadMachine
Good thread. I'm glad it was necroposted in.

I have never seen magic, but a lot of people claim to have used real magic. I've never tried magic myself, so I have no personal "proof" or "disproof" of it.

I am very open to the possibility of its existence though, and will gladly tell y'all whether or not it worked for me, if and when I get off my lazy butt and try it. thumbsup.gif (Don't hold your breath though, I'm easily distracted.)
