scientist are planning on creating new types of animals using cloning, but they'll never even come close to mothernature, infact, mother nature created us just to laught at our pathetic attempt.

so lets all post the name of an awesome creature, and a reason why it's awesome

creature: Porcupine

reason for being awesome: it's got spikes sticking out of it's back.

seriously, evolution could have made it run faster or jump or anything to get away from predators, but no IT GAVE IT FREAKIN SPIKES ON IT'S BACK. Just try and touch it, you'll regret it.

Don't think that is quite the case for the salt water crocodile, I believe it evolved a bit later than that, about 54 mya.

I like squids and octopi (sp?) better, because they change colors way faster. Also because they're really smart, and just really freaky looking. Is it legal for people to have an octopus for a pet? I would really like one as a pet. I think I once heard a story about an octopus who crawled out of its tank. I forget what it did or how far it got though. Oh yeah, and if one of they're arms get cut off it just grows back.

Creature: Polar Bear
Reason for being awesome:They are 11ft tall. can kill a full grown seal. Also they have been known to take of freaking killer whales(or so I have read.)

Creature: \Chinchilla
Reason for being awesome: They take dust baths and have 80-120+ hairs per follicle.

as much as humans want the title, the octopi seems like they are the pinnacle of evolution. I've seen an octopus open a lid to get food from inside a jar, took it less than a minute to figure it out

Creature: moose

Reason for being awsome: its a freaken moose, no other explanation neccecary

yea octopus can change color so fast, and not depend on the environtment . so cool. but it doesnt have freakin weird rotating eyes like chameleon

Animal: Tortoise

Reason for being awesome: It lives a slow life, lives for an extremely long amount of time, it's beautiful and unique.

Humans build homes on their habitats, so they decline quickly, unfortunately. They also steal them from the wild and sell them in Pet Stores.

Animal: sturgeon (fish)

Reason: Caviar is delicious, they can grow to be 18 ft. long, weigh as much as a ton, and live up to 150-200 years.

Plus it can withstand 200 more times radation than a human, but I still don't love them sorry!

I have tonnnnnnnnnnnns of animals I would add to the list that could kick your *** anyday, but there are too many of them!

Armadillo because it carries lepresy...and when I was a child I thought that stuff was only in the biblical area, so I thought it was amazing to know that it wasn't, plus I've rescued one...but I wore gloves

reason for being awesome: Webs!...Help with insect population...8 eyes...8 legs...etc.

Creature: Pigs wild and non wild
reason for being awesome:Non wild pigs make for good food for example: ribs,pork,ham,bacon,pepperoni,ect. Wild hogs on the other hand can kick your ***. Doesnt really matter much on size if there 2years+ there tusk will mess you up.

Reason for being awesome: They stink!!!! and can throw their stink on you!! What better defense is there?

reason for being awesome: it's the fastest land animal in the world, it's a feline, and it's beautiful =]
