Growing up and having weird dreams, I always considered it to be normal, for me anyway. So when they told me things, by strange shapes, I never paid attention to them. That was, until one of them came true. A few nights before, a shape came to me in my dream and said that two were involved, 7 would die, and an innocent would live. Driving down the highway, I came across a car accident, there were two cars.
I stopped and called the emergency services and informed them of the accident. Once off the phone, I went to each car. There were four men in the first car, all crushed, presumably from the car rolling by the looks of the mess. The second car also had four people in it; they all looked dead to me as well. They didn’t answer when I called to them. A new born baby, still strapped in her capsule dead, it was heart breaking to see. Such a tiny child, just beginning her life and it was gone.
Distressed at seeing one so young dead, I began to walk back to my car, to wait for the emergency services to arrive. That was when I heard it. The baby began to cry, I ran back to the car, just to make sure I wasn’t hearing things. Sure enough, she was crying. I didn’t want to move her, in case she was injured, but she sounded so frightened. Carefully I opened the door and gently removed her, in her capsule.
It seemed to calm her a little, so I softly spoke, while we waited. While I sat there, the dream came to my mind again. Two were involved, 7 would die, and an innocent would live. A chill ran down my spine. What was more innocent then this tiny baby. How could she have been lucky enough to survive, when the others were killed? All I could do was cry and shake my head.
Ten minutes later, grey clouds started to form and the temperature began to drop. Returning to the baby’s car, I found a baby blanket and a bag with nappies and such. With the warmth of the blanket, she seemed to sweetly drift off to sleep. She looked like an angel. Soon after the howling of sirens could be heard, they were coming to rescue people, when there was no one to rescue. Lifting the capsules, I waved them down at the edge of the road.
I let them know that it was pointless; all were dead but this innocent. It was hard to hand her over, but I was glad to hear that she seemed to be alright, but they would have to check further back at the hospital. I gave them her bag and watched as they took her away. What kind of a life would she have with out her family? She was soon out of my mind when the police arrived and began asking questions.
That was a year ago now, I’ve since had similar dreams, but thankfully, everyone survived and no children were hurt. That little baby had no living family I later found out. She lives with me now. The adoption was finalised last week, she’s a little miracle baby and I have named her Angel. For surely it was an angel watching out for her that day. They kept her safe from harm, so that she had the chance to grow up. I sometimes think that she is going to be someone of importance when she is older, and that is why they protected her. Only time will tell now.
The End
