The return of Ghost Hunters International is coming back!

I miss Brian's humor! As much drama he brought to the regular Ghost Hunters show, he gave it some life. I feel like the regular show lacks some sense of humor and their sense of humor is somewhat dry. Kris Williams is not funny and is nothing but a pretty face for their show. As goofy as it is, its getting boring watching Steve & Tango get excited over a spider or bug in a creepy basement and I hate how the show portrays it like a piece of evidence or something is going to happen? Then its your typical fear of bugs routine. LOL

Shankpin
I miss brian too. And I have to agree about the worn out scaredy cats scenes between Tango, and especially Steve. It gets old.
HollyDolly
grin2.gif Do you know where they will be investigating, did their website say?
Yeah brian brought something unique to Ghost Hunters.but maybe ,things will improve in the humor department on GH.
Pluto-x
G.H.I.

No previews yet! They are keeping us in suspense!
ohio traveler
I'm ready. Their first season was pretty good. Especially that evil castle in Ireland.

And yes, Brian does a good job. Steve and Tango's antics are getting old.

But I don't care much for that Barry guy on GHI.
Pluto-x
I have trouble understanding Barry's English sometimes! LOL
Brahmana
I'm looking forward to this too. Brian was actually my favorite investigator for Taps....I thought he was the most entertaining. GHI is a really good show. Damn it though, I wish they'd do an investigation at Raynham Hall. I want to see if the Brown Lady from the famous photograph is still hanging around there!!!
Ebonykrow
I like seeing Brian in GHI, he gives it more of the original Ghost Hunters feel--but the others... I don't really like them. I watched one episode, and everyone else was just being so brash and acting like they weren't experienced enough. Brian looked really confused about what everyone was doing, in that episode--don't ask what it was, I have no idea...--but Brian really is the only one that makes GHI seem legit, to me anyway. Even though he's unreliable at the best of times, I think he does pretty well with GHI.
Shankpin
Brian has always been my favorite, next to Grant. He brought so much to the show I thought.

That is kinda true, really. I think the Irish guy is pretty good though. To be honest, the one I really don't care for is the team leader, Rob. That guy is so boring, its like he has no personality. A ghost hunting robot haha.
Pluto-x
I could care less for Rob, or Andy for that matter. Both have stale personalities.

I'd be fine with just Brian, Barry, and Donna.

I would of liked to seen Mike Dion be the leader of GHI rather than Rob.

MasterPo
Andy gets a raw deal IMO! Almost met him last year but he cancelled last moment. sad.gif

I thought he added character to the show - both GH and GHI!
Nessieman23
Im kinda glad it's back, but the only problem is, they got rid of Jason's team. I think they should have used Jason and Grant for GHI, but since they have families. But it's awesome it's back.

Yeah he's all right, though annoying at times. donna and barry are good. Its rob that sucks.

They were too involved with GH stuff.

Besides, originally this was supposed to be a completely seperate project from GH. In fact, up through just a few weeks before GHI aired the people were still saying this was not related to GH or TAPS.

I can only presume that sci fi channel stepped in the last minute and insisted a tie-in between the shows to capitalize on the branding name. Can't blame them for wanting to associate something new and untested with a successful show.

Yeah that's definetly true. Brian was no longer even a member of the group. You're right. That whole thing with Donna meeting up with Jay and Grant to see about 'possibly going overseas to investigate case requests there' that was totally staged. Probably really only affiliated through the sci fi name only, really. Like notice how in the first season they were NEVER wearing ANY Taps apparel, shirts, hats, nothing. All said GHI. Probably cuz they are not REALLY taps. All their stuff said GHI.
MasterPo
Donna and Brian were already long out of TAPS (and GH) by then.

We met with Donna and Briand (and Paula, Lisa, and the Twins) at the Paranormal-X dinner in Warwick last fall. There emphatic that their new show was had nothing to do with TAPS or GH. I can't believe these people weren't be truthful. We've gotten to know several of them pretty well (professionally) and they are genuine. So that's why I say the studio must have pushed the crossover idea at the last moment.
LIGhostChick
The only thing I can say about last night's episode is that I was shocked to see Dustin join the group.
Pluto-x
Haven't watched it yet... My girlfriend tapes it for me ever since my cable provider is switching over.

WOW, Dustin is on the team now? Something must be going on with the originals with everyone jumping ship?
~Onyx~
Saw last nights show, and it was pretty much what I expected it to be. On a side note, that little weasel Andy annoys me.
LIGhostChick
Dustin's been out of TAPS for a while. He replaced Shannon, she's not on there anymore.
Pluto-x
She had a fall out with Donna on that one episode? Remember? I guess that was enough for them to give her the boot. I get the feeling this show wants to try and stay away from the drama that the original show had.

LIGhostChick
The less drama the better is what I say. You have to work with people that have similar views & methods. Otherwise you butt heads, like Shannon & Donna did on that one episode.
Brahmana
glad she's gone. haven't watched it yet, dvr'd it; but I didn't like her. she had a bad attitude.
Shakezulah
I was happy seeing Dustin join them. I liked him with TAPS. Shannon was a terrible investigator and the GHI team is better off without her.
LIGhostChick
Shannon had her way of doing things & it wasn't the same as the rest of the guys so that is a recipe for drama.

Well it's a pretty strong incentive to join GHI when they get to travel all over the world to thousand year old castles and the world's most haunted locations.

The return of Ghost Hunters International

I'll watch the endings. Surely I won't miss much.
Bear's Quest
I like Dustin, he has a good sense of humor. Steve always picked on him in TAPS, which broke what appeared to be the boredom at times. happy.gif
Pluto-x
If they could axe Andy and Rob, I wouldnt be upset and think GHI would do justice without those two.

SecondHeartbeat
is the show scripted or no?
like is it real
NoahJaymes
With any reality tv show, yes, even Ghost Hunters and GHI, there are parts that are scripted. I highly doubt cameras follow everyone around on their job sites, and just happen to catch an all important case phone call.

I don't really watch GHI but from what I just saw you can highly tell it is scripted. Not saying they are faking evidence, just portions that are needed to be scripted, are.

True, BTW is TAPS coming back? JN
NoahJaymes
I don't see why not. However, I don't see them going that much longer just for duration sake.
LIGhostChick
I believe this upcoming season is the end.
Pluto-x
TAPS will be on for at least 10 seasons. I have sources from the TAPS Management that I keep in touch with. You have to remember that each season they air is a season behind. It was already posted on their website that they signed on for another season. Unless you talk to them yourself, don't believe everything you hear on the internet.

As for GHI, I don't see them lasting. The only thing keeping them on the air is because it fills the absence of Ghost Hunters and the fact that they visit some pretty cool locations. In the end though its going to cost them. I am sure they are spending a fortune in traveling all over the world.

myghostnetwork
I saw Jay and Grant at Ft. Mifflin last month, they said they just signed on with SciFi for another 12 episodes, Don't think they are going anywhere quite yet.

also I heard along the rumor mill that Brian is off GHI, possibly Andy as well, and Donna won't be on for the rest of the season due to her illness. Not sure how true all of it is, but if anyone has info, do tell.

I knew Donna wasnt returning, and its SO much better without Brian anyway. If they got rid of Andy that would be a blessing IMO LOL...JN

Poor Brian he was always getting in trouble. Jason i think need a good vacation. Grant is cool i like him. Brian has good ideas that noone listens to. Kristen W has big balls, she is not afraid of anything. I like Ghost Hunters better then GHI. Anyways, no matter what i watch ever Weds. night.

Why do they always show previews like the show is gonna be really exciting and then nothing happens?

LOL I remember a few where they showed clips where some ran and Steve flipped out, only to find out it was due to a spider. They do that to keep the audience watching. Thats show biz!! JN sleepy.gif

Another 10 seasons? You probably mean 10 episodes considering contracts aren't meant to extend 2-3 seasons. (Vanity Fair.) Hell, Professional Athletes can't even sign on for more than 7yrs and when they do they often opt out of it after 2-4 years.

Too much can happen within a few years and 10 seasons is a HUGE HUGE push for something so uncertain. No network will sign anyone for that long, not even USA with WWE. (The most popular show on any networking station.)

He didn't say ANOTHER 10 seasons, but at least 10 seasons all together. I definately hope it makes it that long. The ratings are only getting better for it.

And some people seem to think that this current season is over, but it's not. Season 4 will be coming back at the end of the summer with another 13 episodes, including the Halloween special.
Brahmana
I for one hope GHI continues. Not as good as the original, no, but, seeing international places is great, especially europe, which has such a looooooong history. they arguably probably have a lot more haunted places than the us.
Brahmana
Finally just watched wed's episiode.......

ummmm.........dude...........

is Donna NOT coming back? Does anyone know?

Man, that would SUCK!!!
