I was always wondering, even in this stage of life, why people love to hate each other.

I saw many people died in Arabian Lands. I've already saw many people, shouting to each other in anger, just because somebody pushed his/her shoulder without bad intentions. I've already saw blood drenching on the street.

And now, we are making better - and better - technologies. For what? In fact, almost 50% of today's technology movement are going to weapon development.

Antimatter & Gravity (posted this on another topic) - Could be used for Rocket Propulsion Systems - or vaporizing enemies.
Nuclear Technology - Used as a power generator - alternatively, destroying two big Japanese cities to dust in just two days.
Weather Modification - Could be used to generate perfect situations on days where it's needed - or, to generate storms in enemy lands.
Computerization - Fast calculators, your daily workaround - also used as a missile launcher.
Satellites - To better know our own Earth - or, to spy on you

I hate to see these good inventions that are made for good intentions go bad. I just hate it. Why can't we share, and live in peace instead?

People do not trust each other and always want more than their fellow human being. Instead of sharing greed drives many people.

For tolerant people the actions of a selfish power hungry person is incomprehensible. Just as incomprehensible as say a paedophiles actions are to you and me.

It boggles the mind. The sad part is that if you talk to people they usually have more intelligence than they know and can better their lives by logical thinking and changing their lives along the lines of what logic shows them they must do.

Sadly many people are slaves to the senses instead of master to the senses and they are led by the nose by their emotions on a rollercoaster ride they call life(eg just watch a soapie)

A lot of it unfortunately has to do with money. Government contracts on weapon development are huge. Some may argue that with increases in weapons tech, that the number of casualties and collateral damage is less. Some of the examples you mentioned also have beneficial purposes, and it is similar to most tools in that used in a different manner they can be weapons. I'm not sure humans will ever stop making weapons, we've been doing it for a long time, and we are very good at it.

The violent nature of the average human is what drove us to dominance as a species in the first place. But I like to think the creative side of Mankind comes from his love to PLAY. Technology made a jump in the past 30 years making TOYS for us. I'm on one now!

If we ever see a Utopian society on Earth , it will be run Not like a business. But like an Amusement Park!

Even Music is used as a weapon.

Even without Religion, Politics, Racism, Sexism, Ethnicity and Wealth, there would still be people who wanted more power, or control, then others and the most expedent way to get it is by intimidation. And intimidation is easiest when someone has... a weapon. So until the human race is able to change down to the last man, woman and child, we will still have the desire for weapons. Better and more intimidating weapons.
