I have quoted the following from my book: "Church of God? or the Temples of Satan":

All the world’s major religions probably originated from a misguided attachment to a genuine Spiritual Master. During the lifetime of such a Master, there are basically two categories of follower / disciple. Firstly, there are the “outsiders” or “believers” – those who merely listen to the Master’s words and accept and follow Him, and have great respect and adoration for Him, but who do not actually receive the Sacred Gift – Initiation into the Mysteries of God – and therefore do not understand about the continual succession of Masters who reveal those Mysteries. Then there is the “inner core” of “gnostics” – those (by comparison, few in numbers) who are deemed worthy by the Master to be initiated into the Sacred Mysteries, and who thus understand the process of revelation (personal initiation) through a continuous chain of Masters. When a Master dies, His initiated disciples (i.e. the "inner core") know that God will appoint another in his place, and thus will seek to follow Him. But many (generally those “outsiders” / ”believers” who are so emotionally attached to the previous Master that they do not accept or even look for the new living Master) merely hold on to cherished memories of their now deceased Master, and pass on stories of His life to others. As these stories are orally related from one to another, they become enhanced, expanded, and embellished (e.g. with many 'worldly' miracles and wonders, which simple, immature people like to hear). These stories rarely tell of the one real miracle and wonder: the Mystical / Spiritual Revelation given by the Master, which leads to True Eternal LIFE – this is only known and experienced by the ‘elect’ (i.e. the “chosen ones” = the inner core).

Eventually, as these original followers (the “outsiders”) die, it becomes necessary for the new developing religion to collect and preserve these oral stories in written form.[1] The next step in the process is when the so-called educated (intellectual) theologians take over, and formulate the ideology, dogma, and structure of yet another smug worldly orthodoxy.[2]

At this point, as the congregation grows, and monetary donations come flooding in, the new “orthodox” religion becomes powerful, wealthy, and political, and begins condemning all others – even, and especially, the genuine “chosen ones” (i.e. Gnostics) who follow the true living Master.[3] It is, in fact, these so-called orthodoxies which should be called heresy!

As time passes, various theologians come up with new ideas and beliefs about this or that meaning of the written scripture. Thus, over time, a variety of creeds, sects, cults, and divisions emerge. This process can be clearly observed within the history of every religion. The truth of the living contemporary Messiah is rejected by all, and the churches of satan continue to rule the world.

FOOTNOTES:

[1] A very important question should here be considered: If it was so important for an accurate record of Jesus’ life and teachings to be preserved, then why did He not write it Himself? This would have avoided any ambiguity and confusion as to the truth of the variant stories (at least as far as Christians are concerned) and alleviated the necessity of Biblical criticism. The answer is that, as a living Master is always present on Earth, there is no necessity for historical stories about any previous Master.

[2] This is precisely where Saul (St. Paul) came into the story!

[3] The true followers of God are ALWAYS rejected, despised, ridiculed, or persecuted by the ‘orthodox’ administrators of this world. See e.g. Isaiah 51:7; Matt 5:10-12; 10:16-23; Mark 13:9; Luke 6:22; & John 15:20-21.

It is my belief that it is a HUMAN need to worship something in order to place function in our lives. Religons gives us organazation by offering a set of rules such as the 10 commandments. They also offer comfort with your problems and resolve by offering us a way to lay them down such as in the case of "asking and recieveing" forgiveness for your sins from God. Having read the bible i really believe it is a good "map" that one can pattern his/her life after and be very happy. Think about this example for a second. Moses came down from mount zion after recieveing the 10 commandments from god and found they (the people) had made a golden cow to worship?? why. Moses had saw that the people we searching for direction...what better way to get them to organize as a nation UNDER ONE GOD than to disappear for a while...tap out a few GOOD set of rules on a tablet or two and then bring them back and say that GOD had given them to him. did Moses organized the nation of ireal because they believed GOD have given him the tablets....NO i dont believe so...they followed him because the set of rules he had created helped them stay organized, focussed, and above all PEACEFUL. Just my take as always.

Ive been sure for a long while (you will note why from many posts of mine) that this is, indeed, how many religious beliefs come about.

While there are genuine beliefs which have been constructed/evolved simply through humanity's desire to provide an explanation for the physical phenomena it observes, there are also people who experience a contact with an entity or entities which exist in reality, but in a different form to us.

They often do their honest best to describe this experience and pass on their interpreted wisdom from the experience, but as you point out, this does not work very effectively at times. People who have not shared the experience simply cannot comprehend it, and thus do not share the same personal motivation. They may begin to intellectualise or rationalise/expand upon the experience and what it meant.

None the less some of the original wisdom may be retained in all religions which develp from such contacts.

Im not so convinced about the need for living masters or such. It just resembles the rationale of any other organised religion too much, no matter how you try to differentiate this concept from other forms of religion.

While some people do seem almost physically blind to "god"or spiritual dimensions, i think most people inherently have within themselves, the hard wiring and the processing ability to make their own contact with the source of this spirituality. It really only requires opening their hearts and minds to the potentialities within them selves, and they can then access this aspect of the universe individually.

I have no objection to anyone offering to teach a method to make this easier/more successful, as long as they are not making a heap of money from it.
( a fair economic return for any teaching is one thing. Preying on peoples spiritual needs to make a lot of money is another)

I am not part of a revealed religion we don't follow a single person, master or sacred book. We learn from each other, our own experience and the ancestors. There is no dogma. We are the children of the Earth and the Universe and they are our teachers. Most people don't really understand the Pagan paths. They want someone to tell them what to do, how to live. I have to go my friend is to go to lunch.

Forgive me if I am wrong here, but isn't what you are talking about purely "Earthly" (you call yourselves children of the Earth - the physical / psychic / elemental / carnal). I do not see where SPIRITUALITY comes into it.

Hi Ben,

Even those who do not Know the dynamics of spirit, and claim to be only Physical, are blessed, not all spirit was created at the same time nor do all learn at the same speed.

What would be the point of having a physical experience If one were just to trancend it all and Be spirit While on Earth,One could have Just stayed In Heaven where it is all good and Learned nothing Of the physical world.

Even the Pagans and Athiest are loved unconditionally By Father and Mother (God), Unbeknownst to them, and Many are blessed in their non judgementalness of Not Knowing enough to condemn the rest for not Knowing as much as the religious schollar who Condemns for God.

Well said Bro, The onl;y discrepancy I see is that Brother Jesus did write much, and it was destroyed or Hidden, by those who wanted to make Religion.

This sounds very similar to Rosicurcianism. This is all true, up to a point. The fact is we only need these 'teachers' to show us what we've always known. Figures like Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, they are merely illustrating what is already imprinted in the soul. We are re-learning what we've un-learned, so to speak. A master is needed only insofar as to show the way, a perfect example of course, being Christ. We are all 'masters' if we could only LIVE it in SELF.

"At this point, as the congregation grows, and monetary donations come flooding in, the new “orthodox” religion becomes powerful, wealthy, and political, and begins condemning all others – even, and especially, the genuine “chosen ones” (i.e. Gnostics) who follow the true living Master.[3] It is, in fact, these so-called orthodoxies which should be called heresy!

I particularly like those points. It is so true. Once a religion begins having material wealth and power, it becomes the opposite of what true religion is supposed to be 'the storing of treasures in heaven'. And of course they make doctrines to enforce their own agendas. The church belongs in self, the light of God within, never in a building or orginization.

An excellent post. But let me ask you this; who is the living master in the earth right now, if one is always present?

I'd say the Dali Lama myself...

The Earth in the Universe are living beings, they are life interconnected in space time through spirit or you might call it the soul. There are other Universes that over lap this one. Pagans generally call them realms. You have realm of the Gods, the realm of the Ancestors, and the Realm of the Noble Kindred. The Gods are beings of very long life and wisdom. The Ancestors are people who have died. Some of the are waiting to be reborn, some are have finished and remain there. The Noble Kindred are the Fay, or other beings of their realm. They can be friendly and helpful or they can be mean or jesters. You can contact the different realm through meditation or ritual. When we pass from this life we can be reborn back here or in any of the other realm. We are the children of the Earth, because the she gave birth to us as she did all living beings on Earth through evolution. The Universe gave birth to the Sun and the Earth as we are learning through the science of astronomy.

Not all Pagans believe the same thing but we are close enough and we don't worry about the differences. Most of the sometime we find we are all taking about the same things but using different terms. Often our experiences are the same, but we interpret them in different ways. I once read the Goddess Yamaya's colors are blue and white or sparkles. When I saw I understood what they were saying She reveal herself to me as blue light with diamond sparkles.
