Adventurous surfers have been tackling one off the country's largest and rarest waves after it broke off the coast of Cornwall.
The Cribbar, also known as the 'widow maker', which broke off Newquay on Wednesday, occurs on average less than once a year.
A combination of storm swell and onshore winds create the 25ft wave which attracts only the most fearless surfers.
Among those who conquered the wave was Josh Hughes, 17, who is thought to be the youngest person ever to do so.
