Okay. Since my original thread has "died." I decided to have a part two for the new season. D;

I saw the "Giaint Rat" episode. And quite frankly it was enjoyable and interesting. Who knows what's lurking in the darkness of NYC. And the story that was told about the homeless guy in the tunnel was creepy. I think the guy didn't find the right "door" in the wall. But I for one, wouldn't go back to that door either.

I like it, too. I try not to miss it.

I like MondterQuest but I think Destination Truth is better. The guy is so funny.

Definitely not a rat the size of a car.

Or a rat bigger than a small dog.

But is that one in NYC? x) And, is it a pet, or is that guy just strangling some random rat he found?

Edit:

"Concerned scientists now believe the local Norway Rat species may have interbred with the African Giant Rat."

Yeah. That's not NYC.

Plus, African Giant Rats are pretty big. But again, that's not in some big city filled with millions of people.
Didn't say rats that big weren't possible, but rats that big in a place where there are as many rats as people sort of... is.

I'd like to know why they're doing episodes on something that could easily be solved by applying logic, and are less mysterious, than say, something like... The Bloop, ogopogo, Mokle Membe... you really could go on.

I mean, why are they doing shows on giant specimens? Why not do an episode on that Kodiak bear that was 12ft tall? Or Chilli the cow...

They're just larger specimens of their species. It does happen.

I agree. Freak cases of gigantism (but Chilli is kinda cute). Now a show on The Bloop, that would be amazing. happy.gif

I, however, missed this particular episode. From what I hear, it was worth missing. But don't they show it again sometime during the week? I'll see if I can catch it then because I would at least like to say I saw it if only to say that I saw it.

When they do shows on large rats...............well....maybe they are running out of monsters..

That's because Josh Gates, who hosts the show ( www.scifi.com/destinationtruth/ ) is a smartass -- and a cryptozoologist who is not afraid to have a laugh at his own expense. A good show. My wife and I both enjoy it.

I'm just waiting for the Bloop. original.gif One of my favorite things ever, I'd love to know more about the theories for what might have caused it. It sounds really mechanical to me, not very natural at all. Dunno, it could be tremors or gas or something, but it is just very strange.

Chilli is adorable. I would loooove to see him.

(But really, MonsterQuest should do a show about him, at least they have a live specimen to reference.)

How could you run out of monsters? D: Destination Truth does all sorts of things, personally I think it's that MonsterQuest just doesn't want to leave America. Have they even touched on monsters that are elsewhere in the world?

Not really unless you count the episode about the ape/human hybrids in Russia.

Nah. They wouldn't have a live reference. They would say that Chili couldn't be reached for comment and set out camera traps to find her. tongue.gif

The new season is good. I dont miss this show. It is very professionaly executed!
MoonPrincess
What's the next episode?

I'm starting to really enjoy the show. <3 I look foward to all the episodes.

I saw part of the hybrid episode. Though it wasn't much of it. And some of the ghosts episode. The Gettburg ghosts was freaky! They were all white too!

(I know I spelt it wrong.)
Finsup22
I actualy watched the pig episode on Saturday afternoon. I was lmao at the fat hillbilly trying to put on the pig cam, but found myself excited too see what was in the brush. I like this show. the bigfoot eye thing between scene's scares my three year old, wich amuses me.

My TV guide thing is saying that the next episode is "Black Beast of Exmoor" or something like that. The one commercial I saw for it looked interesting.

To be honest I haven't much cared for the past couple of episodes. I just don't care about things like giant rats and snakes. The last one I really liked was about the Grassman.

She was made into stew, and her bones were made into jewelery, so we'll never know for sure. sad.gif

Ooooh. For really? O: Finally an episode that sounds interesting.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beast_of_Exmoor

ABCs. Horrah. (Because you know, illegal ownership of exotic cats tooootally can't happen.) And finally they touch on a subject out of America--aside from Stalin's apemen, but they didn't actually go to Russia or anything did they? I don't remember, I watched like five minutes of that episode and was like, "This is crap."

I mean, I like to eat meat, but an animal that rare I would never eat; I would protest eating her. She was a gentle giant.

I never did see the Stalin Apemen episode, but I saw something else done on those guys. And now that they are in the area they will move on up to Scotland for Nessie. happy.gif

Thanks, Rosenrot.

I do agree with one poster. That there isn't that many monsters out there. :/ Is there so many of them yet they just pick other "monsters."
