My opinion is they are a genetic deformity.

Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and mortal women.

of course those stories would be covered up and taken out of history because they make anything in the evolution theory impossible.

Every one is entitled to their own Opinion but that's what i believe.

The 'dome' skulls are human, part of a cosmetic tradition of wrapping the skulls of babies while the bone is still soft and developing, and so changing the final shape when the bone hardens. I believe this is most prevalent in Africa, not sure if it's still practised. Perhaps someone can provide the name for this practise as it is totally evading me.
