Hello everyone.

….Not sure if this has anything to do with Unexplained Mysteries…..I would like to share this anyway……

NASA will launch a rover in Sept 2009. Only 14 months away…….

This is a nuclear powered rover armed with a LASER.

NASA is quiet on this one….Maybe because of the RTG’s
(Radioisotope thermoelectric generator). There is always someone complaining about safety hazards (There is none)…Especially when launching nuclear powered spacecraft.

Watch the videos….I just find it fascinating…..A really advance rover….A highly capable vehicle that can land almost anywhere on Mars. A rover capable of operating day or night.

Here is the multimedia link…

I do have ideas on possible landing sites……Cydonia??…Nepenthes Mensae??
Perfectly valid landing sites. If I had my way, The MSL rover will land in one of these regions.

Probably not. Most likely, NASA will land in a typical location….Rocks, Sand Dunes…The usual stuff. Its OK….Looking forward to the new discoveries..

Possible landing site:

Who knows…..Maybe this rover will discover some “Unexplained Mysteries”.

I think any planetary mission has the potential for discovering "unexplained mysteries". Indeed, we already have! MSL will probably be just be such a mission. Hopefully, it will solve some of tbhose we've already discovered...

Maybe it will explain some!

There's already plenty of unexplained mysteries on Mars. Was there life? IS there life? Was there once flowing water?

Quite frankly, anyplace on Mars is interesting enough!
I'd land anyplace I could...anyplace.

It says something when one can consider someplace on Mars "typical"!
