I have read hundreds of quotes from daft comments that Bush has made. An example... He was critisising the russians apporach in chechnya (i know that approach sounds familiar.......wonder where?) an the interviewer asked him the chechnyan presidents name .......surprise surprise he didnt know it.

I have read all of his speaches. And he comes off as not knowing how to talk to people and very arrogant at times.

Why do you believe that I have a problem with muslims? just because I'm Israeli? thats absurd! I attcked French politicians, not Muslims, and I only said that fanatics will resolve into violence, not all muslims. Islam is a religion just like christianity and buddhism are. I see no reason to attack an entire religion. I do attack the mixing of religion and politics, because such a mixing usually manifest itself in violence and racism (like the KKK, Wahabbis, Kahane etc.).

Offcourse not only the Muslims protested - the entire French media was filled with pacifist sentiment against the war in Iraq, as thats what the politicians wanted to brainwash the public with.

I don't think it was oil that drove french politicians into their opposition to the war, because most France's energy comes from nuclear reactors that run on Uranium (most are breader reactors that convert U238 into Plutonium), and 20% of their diesel fuel is made of Biodiesel, not peteodiesel.
So I still hold that it was muslim votes that motivated the French government and politicians to oppose that much to the war in Iraq.

I do know though that here in Israel we have an issue with France since the late 60', after they changed sides and started to totally support the Arabs in the Israeli-Arab conflict (and as we realised that our alliance was not based on true friendship but on the fact that when the French fought in Algeria they allied themselves with us just to piss the Arabs off), and in the time we most needed them - they betrayed us.
Also we have a problem with French antisemitism that menifest itself in more than 300 anti-jewish attacks every year in the last 3 years. Jews can't walk in the streets without fear that they will be attacked. Jewish schools are burnt, Jewish kids are abused in schools, there are shootings on Jewish stores, Jewish cemeteries are being desecrated, and there are many more anti-semitic incidents with the French authorities doing nothing to stop that. And all that is happening in the 21st century, in what people regard as "enlightened" France.


(BTW - I see you stated that your country is Scotland. Do you support an independant Scotland? And if so - I was always curious - what language do pro-independence Scots believe should be the language of Scotland - Gaelic or Scots? )
