When I was young I remember using the board with my grandmother. She would do it by herself and with her eyes closed. Many years later I wanted to try it again just to make sure that It was real. Big surprise, it was. Anyway, I just threw it in the trash dumpster at the apartment complex I was living at. Did I do something wrong by disposing it like this? I no longer live there and I was wondering if anyone could have followed me from there because I played with it.

How could I find out if there are bad spirits following me? I have never seen one but wonder if there are any close.

Also, do only bad spirits play with the board, or are they just bored ghosts or something?

thanks in advance

If you're using it with the proper preparedness, and proper protection, you'll find some interesting spirits to talk to, who are looking for someone to help them and pray for them. Otherwise, you're talking to demons. Demons usually squeeze through all of the human spirits trying to get through, and get ahold of the planchett, luring you into letting them through the dimensional doorway and into our world.

Disposing it as you did could have some ramifications, such as a haunting or the board reappearing in your home. You're supposed to dig a hole on the beach, possibly about three feet deep, throw the board and planchett in, sprinkle it with holy water, then bury the sucker, all while saying protective prayers. The seawater erodes the board over time, so it can't follow you back. Some boards have been known to show back up once you throw them away. burying it will ensure that it won't be brought back.

Unless you've had any paranormal activity around you, or you've had nothing but bad luck, since you threw it out, you most likely have nothing to worry about. If you have any doubts, you could always have a Priest come over and bless the house to ensure your safety.

It is just on object it really does not matter how you dispose of it. If you are worried about any gateways just know it is not the object but you who are the gateway. The main component, besides spirits, is not the board but the user. Just as pen and paper do not write stories on their own, they are just tools, it is the people who are more important.

Well said Clovis.

As with all "tools" like Clovis said, they are just objects.

I completely disagree.

I know there are a ton of stories out there, but there can be many things at play in a scenario like a ouija sesson.

I've been using and making spirit boards for about thirty five years. In all that time, with myself or anyone else I know who've used them, demons have never been an issue

It has everything to do with the practitioner.

I'm sorry, but a board is a deck is a crystal is a bowl of sand, is a pen and paper. All just tools. A cleansing is good, but they are all just tools.

You can dispose of any of them in a regular way, or for your own sense of peace, burn em, cleanse them, whatever makes you comfortable.

Cheers

Lol! Sounds like a plan, he he.

I know that no single person has all of the answers, and I thank all of you who commented. It was very insightful. I don't think that I have any issues with the one I got rid of, but one never knows for sure. I would like to check one out again one day, but I guess I should wait until I have a better understanding before I do.

Thanks again original.gif

Its said the only way to truly dispose of a Ouija, is to say "GoodBye" to it, then renounce it. Its at that point, you can dispose of it, but NEVER burn it..Sounds like it posed no threat, so not to worry..JN
