I don't think the story is true. Holding food from someone that is already suffering
from massive weight loss and in bad health is not something any doctor would do.
It has to be a hoax. Besides that the stomach acid would have killed the lizards.

I believe that story falls under the Hoax catagory. Same type as the old wives tale that if you swallow a watermellon seed/peach pit/apple sead you have a plant grow in your belly.

What do those old wives do all day to create such stupid stuff? They must be really bored and just sit around all day in groups getting totally baked and thinking of stupid stories to tell people.

thats like the story about the lady who's tongue swelled and doctors cut it open and cockroaches came out, for she licked a postage stamp that had cockroach eggs on it.... crazy stuff

There are almost identical storys about snakes and octopuses. Deffinately sounds like an urban legond to me!
