Lord Foulgrin's Letters by Randy Alcorn

Randy Alcorn's gripping new masterpiece delivers us from ignorance of the devil's schemes. Foulgrin, a high-ranking demon, instructs his subordinate on how to deceive and destroy Jordan Fletcher and his family. It's like placing a bugging device in hell's war room, where we overhear our enemies assessing our weaknesses and strategizing attack.

I can't work out wether you read fast Kellalor or you have alot more time on your hands than I do wink2.gif .

Almost finished 'Voyager ' the fourth book in the Outlander series . It's good but it's not fantastic. Bueatifully written though , it must have been one of the harder ones to complete ,as she uses alot of character changes in her paragraphing .
It's still better to read it before attempting the final one . 'The fiery cross' which a dear friend brought me for my birthday .
I may need some emotional support while reading that one becuase I'm convinced the main characters will undoubtedly be killed off , and i'm not sure I'll cope to well when it happens . crying.gif

Heaven's Wager - Ted Dekker

He lost everything he ever wanted- and risked his soul to get what he deserved.

Oh God, this has got to be one of the saddest books I've ever read. Every time I read it I feel my self starting to tear-up. crying.gif

I hope it has a happy ending. crying.gif

I've finally started 'The Fiery Cross ' , the fifth book in the Outlander series .

and I wanted to share this bit .

I have lived through war, and lost much.I know what's worth the fight , and what is not .

Honour and courage are matters of the bone, and what a man will kill for, he will sometimes die for, too.

And that , O kinsman, is why a woman has broad hips; that bony basin will harbour a man and his child alike. A man's life springs from his woman's bones, and in her blood is his honour christened .

For the sake of love alone, would I walk through the fire again .

Gosh, she writes pretty. wub.gif

I'm on a Marion Zimmer Bradley kick and am currently reading "Lady of Avalon". I just finished "The Forest House", "Mists of Avalon" and "The Priestess of Avalon" also by Bradley. I think she is a wonderful writer and I enjoy reading historical fiction. After these I have two more of her books to read then I'm finally going to tackle the Harry Potter series.

Danger in the Shadows - Dee Henderson

Reclusive author Sara Walsh hides from the public for a reason. As a child, she was kidnapped (with her twin sister, Kim) and locked in a root cellar for nine days. Their father, a diplomat, balked at paying the ransom, and Kim died on the eighth day. Twenty-five years later, one of the kidnappers, who remains frustratingly elusive, regularly torments Sara by sending momentos of their time together. Sara is locked in a gilded cage, and the potential key, retired football player Adam Black, may be too explosive for a life lived in shadow, but he is convinced Sara is the answer to his prayers.

Presumed sunk by enemy ships, the ship and its crew are virtually forgotten until it reappears 50 years later off the San Diego coastline, with no sign of the crew. J.D. Ah! The Ring is a darned scary movie otter and I can't believe you have that on your signature! dontgetit.gif scared.gif

Right now I'm reading a biography about Minnie Dean - the only woman in New Zealand to be hung for child murder. It's absolutely fascinating though definately not bedtiem reading because it had a bit about Minnie's daughter who died when she and her two children fell down the well in their backyard. I have a very active imagination and I kept thinking that evil little girl in The Ring was gonna get me... laugh.gif darned imagination. The strange thing is that no-one knows how it happened because the daughter was completely sane and at all times (except when water is drawn) there is a heavy lid on the well.

It's a great book. Written by Lynley Hood, a new zealand author.

Three cigars changed the course of the Civil War.
The Scottish kilt was invented by an Englishman.

I highly recomend this book. thumbsup.gif

The only woman in New Zealand to be hung ever. And did she actually do it ?

Here's an interesting bit of trivia , I used to live near the cemetary that Minnie Dean now rests in . It had the most horrendous Lions Club building at the entrance to the cemetary . With 3ft high letters that read B.B.Q.

Kiwi's are such a unique group of people . dontgetit.gif

Unique....sure. That's a good word for us laugh.gif thumbsup.gif for kiwi ingenuity.

It's a fascinating book. I'm just reading about her trial and it's quite biased against her with the police out to get her and all. So sad that it happened. The children that survived (as infant deaths weren't all that odd at that time) turned out very well.

It really does seem that she killed at least one of the children which is sad. She also comes across as slightly...crazy though so nice and caring.

*sigh*

Started another book (because I need bedtime reading which isn't Minnie Dean) called The History of the World in 10 1/2 Chapters by Julian (last name which I can't remember)
It's sort of odd as it's a twist on Noah's Ark sayng how Noah isn't the kind of person he's made out to be and there were competitions between the animals and Noah had another son that died. Havn't gotten far on it yet.

I'm reading XXL magazine first thing I read in years!!! Well besides the forum.
Shakezulah
about the only thing i read is every months issue of PSM (Playstation Magazine) pretty sad, huh?
The Raven
I read a hell of a lot more magazines at the current time than I do books. Every month I have a new issue of Popular Science and Discover to indulge in, and at the same time I learn how hack a Tivo.

At the current time though, I have a lot of books I'm about to start on:
Atlantis - Greg Donegan (RECCOMENDED SERIES)
Star Trek: The Next Generation - Q Surrounded
Explaining the Unexplained: Mysteries of the Paranormal
The Supernatural Side of Maine (RECCOMENDED READ FOR MAINERS HERE)
Adobe Photoshop 7: Classroom in a Book (Great tool for Photoshop users)

I highly reccomend reading the books that Greg Donegan wrote in his series Atlantis. I started on the 2nd book; Atlantis: The Bermuda Triangle, and loved it. It ties in a mighty Norseman, an ancient Priestess, a modern military man, and a lot of paranormal and science fiction fun, taking place in two times. The time of the modern military man and the time of the Norseman and Preistess almost one thousand years ago. Greg Donegan is his pen name, his real name is Bob Mayer and today he has some best selling books by the other pen name Robert Doherthy. Check out his website for more information on his massive Atlantis and Area 51 series at http://www.bobmayer.org/index.html#
