I am reading The Stand by Stephen King. It's pretty good. I'm on page 5! (I just got it today, ha ha) So far, I'd give it

I've been getting into Stephen King lately. Used to be scared of the bookcovers. Now, I love em.

I'm not much of a Stephen King fan at all. However, I will say that when King wrote The Stand, he wrote a 20th Century masterpiece. It's a fantastic novel.
In my opinion, King's written at least one of the best books of our era and some of the very very worst. LOL.

I would say many of the very very worst.
That said I always felt Misery was a master piece and The Stand is also amazing.
In horror I have always felt that Graham Masterson was very very good. And Lovecraft and Poe obviously were the greatest ever

mhm. A new Secondhand/Antique bookstore has just moved into an empty shop a couple stores down the road for me. It won't open for a while but the owner seems a very decent chap and is allowing me to look through his stock in advance as long as I help him shelve it all. 22,000 books in total which is about heaven for me.
Works of all genres from all Authors. Truly something I am looking forward to in the near future.
Anyhow I have started reading Nitzsche at the moment. Thus Spoke Zarathustra is the current work I am readign.

I'm reading the second Christopher Paolini book, Eldest, at the moment. Great books! Especially if you like fantasy stories. Its a brilliant storyline and the characters are really interesting. The first book is called Eragon (yes the same as the film but don't judge the books on that pathethic excuse for a movie. The book is 100 times better!). The final book of the trilogy is out 20th of September 08, so long to wait!
Other books i love are the Lord of the Rings and (of corse) the Harry Potter books. I know they're considered kids books but lets face it science fiction books have the best plot lines!

I am actually reading this great book at the moment, called FACTORING HUMANITY by ROBERT SAWYER.
For anyone who likes slightly oddball reading, I would recommend this. Set about ten years into the future, it isn't too sci fi to be offputting, but yet different enough to be obviously different.
Haven't finished it yet, but from the feel of it we should have a great ending.
