I run a forum of my own that I have had up and running for over a year, and in he late we have been wanting to upgrade to another host and also find a good place to pull codes from. I am not really great when it comes to code....as in I do not build my own. but I have learned allot within the past 2 years that I have been doing this and I would really like bring to life allot of the Ideas that I have had.

I just was wondering if anyone had any sudjestions of a good host site, and how much money I would be look in getting into with doing this?

Also, if you have some good PHP coding sites, that might be of soom use...I could use help with that too.

if anyone one is willing to help, it would be great...its not a big site...but everyone has to start somewhere, and I could use all the help someone is willing to give.

howdy

have a look at my website http://www.mywebdesign4u.com
it took me a while to figure it out how to add a forum to a hosting site but once i cracked it, it was easy..

you obviously need a web domain name, hosting, a database package purchased with the hosting & download phpBB3 - its free.. you upload it to the server via the instructions given, once uploaded; make sure youve set the permissions to certain files in the phpBB3 directory so they can be written to, if you use dreamweaver its a doddle.. then go on the net and enter the setup program in phpBB3 on your server, it asks you for the database details... when you enter the details it will configure itself.. you finish the setup and delete the setup files from the server...

once all that is done you can then edit the phpBB3 overall_header.tpl and overall_footer.tpl files to your hearts content..

it took a while for me to get the forum to look like the site, aligning images and what not was a little time consuming but the overall effect is good

let me know what you think and if i can be of further help to you

thanks

p.s. using easyspace the entire hosting will cost around 25pounds for domain name, 20pounds for hosting, 30pounds for database.. so its really cheap
