This is a picture my cousin took of the long long hall on the outside of the Parthenon replica downtown in our city park...
I was walking down to the other side..you can see me walking in the distance..
But you can also see a piece of my friends leg and foot to the right..and at the bottom you can see a perfectly round thing.
I thought at first it could be light..but there was no light above or beside where he was standing..nothing to reflect off of.
What do you think?
We also took another picture showing my friends full body..this time the orb moved up..and was right next to him.

Here is another one. This picture was taken looking straight up into the trees. No lights around. Nothing to reflect.

These are the types of pictures I get and the orbs move around. I think it is an orb. When it is raining or snowing you get all kinds of orbs, though! Was it a dry night?

The original pictures are too dark...

I think that effect is caused by moisture in the air.
PrettyAndCorrupt
Mar 15 2004, 04:14 AM
Hmm,
I figured it was moisture too. But similar pictures were taken and this effect showed up in only the ones pictured here.
No, there was no rain. It was a dry, nice night out

Thanks for the replies!

How about this orb taken on the ground which shows a face?? have to save file, then look on your computer to zoom in to see the face super clearly.. E-mail me to get full photo due to losing resolution from playing with the photo to make it fit the 50kb max.

I take pictures where I think orbs might be. I keep taking pictures in that spot and have come up with some mighty interesting photos. The only thing I have watched out for is a snowy or rainy night; you have to be able to rule that out.

As soon as my friend gets here and helps me, I will post my photos. I have to get a scanner, too. I am not computer savvy, so please bare with me.
My friend's schedule and my husband's and mine I have to contend with, but it's going to happen, here, eventually.

Holy crap!!! I thought my camera was broken when I was in Egypt becauese some of the photos had those "orb" things. There are lots of them all different sizes, and when I zoom in on some there is a symbol on them. A weird symbol. Hold on I'll put em' up.

Was it taken with a Fuji Camera? I have had two and get lots of orbs on both when using flash. I also have a Canon and do not get orbs, even if I use them both at the same time, which leads me to think they are caused by a deficinecy in the processing system of the camera or the proximity of the flash to lens.

Does anyone have a picture of an orb half hidden by an object in the foreground? All the ones I have seen are complete. A half hidden one would indicate they are outside the camera

I am using a samsung and a minolta camera, both 35 milimeter and I have infra-red film in the minolta. I have picked up some amazing pictures of orbs, streaks, filmy, ghostly matter and giant orbs that look like 'casper' the ghost.
I have my scanner. I'm waiting for my friend to get off vacation, so that I can put these photos on the net; he has to help me.

Pray tell, if theres no light, then what is lighting the image of the tree. If you say "the flash" then that is whatever metallic object that caused that reflection was using to reflect.
wacker
Mar 20 2004, 11:19 PM
Perhaps Babs could tell us if any of the orbs are partly obscured by known solid objects in her pictured - or are they all complete?
Babs
Mar 20 2004, 11:26 PM
Babs will check.
Babs
Mar 21 2004, 12:22 AM
I've looked at most of my pictures and I, only, have a few that actually move into a tree or wire. I can see the branch through the orb, but I can't see the wire through the orb, but then again, the wire is touching the bottom of the orb. Most of my orbs are not touching anything.
What is your theory?

Mar 21 2004, 01:30 PM
can I ask you, WHAT ARE ORBS?, they look like balls of light
Babs
Mar 21 2004, 05:28 PM
Orbs are usually round, see-thru and some are opaque. They come in various sizes, or at least mine do, and different colors. A man and woman, in haunted Gettysburg, told me that they are called 'unidentified energy sources'. (We were photographing the haunted battlefield at night.)

They move, too.
wacker
Mar 21 2004, 08:47 PM
I think Babs is answering her own questions. If none is part obscured by any solid object in the picture then the source is inside the camera. I have loads of pix of orbs and NONE of them is part obscured, all are complete.
Orbs are a characteristic of some cameras, usually digital, caused by the juxtapositon of the lens to flash. Sorrry, but they are probably not spirits or ghosts!

Apr 2 2004, 03:29 AM
My husband took this picture of an orb in Gettysburg, Pennslyvania on the battlefield. What's so very interesting is he saw the orb flash before he actually tripped the shutter on his digital camera.
We were standing in front of an old farm house, you can see the white picket fence in the foreground.

wacker...
I have many photos of orbs on conventional film cameras, too, in fact, most are from my conventional camera and most of them are without a flash.

I will post them as soon as I can.

Here is a photo on my conventional 35mn camera (SLR) that I took on the battlefield near a cannon. Notice the orb at the left of the cannon. It was a beautiful night...dry.

"Unidentified Energy Source"?? I'd like some more opinions other than reflection, but I don't rule it out, because I don't know for myself.. Some seem to say reflection period, and I think not.. Stalemate
Jim
Another with four of them, some brighter than others. Let me guess reflection from the tree?? The next one I post after this one will get some cocky responses..lol

Okay I will play Skeptic here...
AbductingU, Do you have anything that

With all of the computer tools available
I think I could do some better than these.
Maybe I am wrong here but I say all of the
images you have posted so far are
FAKEDon't take this bad my friend, because
I am only one person and this is just
my opinion.

AbductingU...Wow, the orbs in your last picture with the couple standing there, there are orbs all over the place. I don't know what to make of that...my orbs in the house are very few. I get more orbs outside, but not as many as that.

Is that an old house or place that they are in?
Your other orb photos look real to me. I am having some trouble getting my pictures on the net...hope to have more soon.

Want to see alot of orbs check this one out. I had to crop out a few due to the limitation of space (50kb).. This is the same house.. It was my Grandfathers house, and now it is my parents home.. About the exact age of the house I'll find that out for you..

These are what I call orbs.

I don't really know what these orbs are. I don't know what I have in my pictures really either.
Those are really some pretty fantastic looking orbs, though. I have more pictures, but I am having trouble getting them up. I will post them as soon as I can.

Not one of those pics looks any more than 'ambient light lens flare' to me

Whats the fascination with 'lens flare'?
