I think smoke to be honest. It's in a form by chance. If you look, say it is a shape of a person, it just doesn't look right - it's right in front of the camera. I think whoever took the shot was smoking...

Here is a picture taken of a full moon while smoking, any similiarities??

It does have that fake look to it, but there is defenately something there, it may have been a double exposure, possibly of a suit of armor?

I think it's faked, and I'll even tell you why.

If you look at the purported ghost, it appears to be wearing thigh-high riding boots, large pantaloons, something that could be a body armour (I'm thinking 17th century). It also appears to have a sword slung from it's waist, and it doesn't take too much of an indulged imagination to see a hat in it's outstretched hand.

There are also the vaguest hints of colours visible, and those thigh-highs have a sheen to them that cigarette smoke doesn't have - they appear to be reflective along their leading edge.

So. I think this 'figure' has been cropped from a painting or picture and either photoshopped, or something else, into the original photograph. The reason why a 'real' figure was used is because it provides a handy fallback for when people start reasonably pointing out that it could be anything.

"Aha," the concerned parties can say, "we've discovered this house was built on top of the Duke of Urbino's camp just before his army embarked for Pavia (or Lepanto or whatever) - and if you look closely at the figure..."

It looks pretty cool but at the same time it also looks pretty fake.

Well Ambyglam, it is a 100% genuine photo I guarantee it .

It's a real piture...I think...but whatever form the ghost might have not been a real ghost.

It looks like a ghost brandishing a sword.

I am going to agree with Aslan. Just take a look at the extremely ridiculous shadow that the girl is casting to the right of her, from her shoulder down her arm. It is in no way consistant with the background(counter, wall, cupboards, ect.).Can you say
"Layer>Layer Style>Drop shadow"?

I could take any picture and put in it photoshop and add some ghastly smoke, just like that.

But if it is genuine the good for you!

At this point I would like to say , I did not take this photo , I also never claimed to have taken the photo infact I got it while doing an image search on Google .
I merely placed the photo on the board to allow people the oportunity to
scrutanise it ..

No...it looks real to me. Compare the two smoke pictures, they are entirely different.

I've seen that same pic way too many times already.

its smoke, you can tell someone had a cigarette in front of them when they took the pic. its whats most in the forefront.
