I like DT, because it's funny and doesn't take it's self too seriously, I take these things for what they are "entertainment" but I think some interesting things can come out of this show they go to many far off places which I like because a lot of the programs only focus on the US, not only do you learn about the things that they are trying to track down you get to look into other ways of life that we don't see so often here, and see how other places are politically you'll see on this show sometimes that they have to be careful of the people, and also sometimes you'll see how these places will uses myths to sway the political field which i found funny and interesting on the episode about the giant flying bats.

Monster Quest is more of a serious show, It has good material and i like how they sometimes take a practical look at more realistic creatures like the episode on giant fish, as it is mysterious they do exist so it was exciting while watching an episode because you know the possibility of them actually catching what they are looking for is very likely.

Is it real? completely kills my inner child, so many cold stuck up skeptics that would probably tell their children and other little kids that Santa and the Easter bunny aren't real, this show just basically wants to disprove anything that does not fit into their own little realm of science, which is great for people who aren't like me and actually enjoy being a skeptic, where i on the other hand have a skeptic point of view but at times hate it because I'd like to be a little more open and be able to believe in these amazing stories and creatures and beasts that are spoken of, but just the approach this show takes and the manor they present it makes the subject manor a little less a pealing to me.

that's all I really got, I hope my insight or thoughts gave you what you were looking for, I noticed no one replied to your message (mainly because a lot of the people on these boards do not like these shows because ...well I won't go there, All you need to know when you're watching these shows is don't take the stuff too seriously, it's on tv so it's meant to be entertainment and yes somethings are going to be stages, of false, or not true but that's pretty much happens every day in life with every subject manor not just aliens ghosts fey and big foot.

I like them all each has good information in its own way....and it so cute when they show the monster "Eye" on monster quest my 4 year old just sits closer to me and he says oooo look at that eye mommie...LOL

i hate "is it real". so biased, should be cancelled. nothing makes me angry than armchair debunkers shooting down weak evidence instead of the strong evidence of a mystery

MQ yeah i watch it almost as much as DT.its a pretty good show.

I couldn't pick if my life depended on it! They all have something I love in their format, like DT's Josh and his humor.
I love anytime there's new info, pictures, etc. DT doesn't really have a lot of (if any) evidence to put on the table, but I enjoy the interesting places they go, history, culture, etc.
I just wish they'd get rid of Ryder. She's a killjoy and a squealer.

Yeah, I have to admit, 'Is it real' and the skeptical slant bugs. I'd like to think I'm smart enough to analyze things myself and do my own skepticizing (I know, made up a word) without a killjoy ruining the show. I just wanna be entertained, not annoyed.
