XSAS Daughter-
The letter in question is the letter "O".
It is zero. The man had nothing to write.
The blind could read nothing.
The person who was dumb could repeat nothing.
The deaf man listened and heard nothing.

fine heres an easier one
A horse travels a certain distance each day. Strangely enough, two of its legs travel 30
miles each day and the other two legs travel nearly 31 miles. It would seem that two of the horse's legs must be one mile ahead of the other two legs, but of course this can't be true. Since the horse is normal, how is this situation possible?

the front two legs traveled 31 miles-since they are in front of the back legs, they would walk farther distances.

two legs travel 30 miles, right! It doesn't say they ONLY travel 30 miles, just that they travel 30. They travel just the same distance as the other legs.
justcallmefox - both sets of legs travel exactly the same distance. Just because one set starts in front of the other doesn't mean they travel further.

You can't light a lamp with a match, you could however light it up by turning it on, but it's day time as you stated. So I'm guessing either of the second choices would be right?

I think you have a misunderstanding about what a lamp is. A lamp doesn't have to be electrical - it could just as easily be a lantern type thingy.
But to answer that riddle, you'd have to light the match first
