Can anyone tell me where to find out about Edgar Cayce?  I believe he also foretold future events. I remember hearing how he would go into a trance and his assistant would write it down. Do you know if any of his predictions came true? Did he ever talk about Atlantis? Sorry, my memory is very bad, I hope someone hasn't posted this before, but if so, please steer me back to their post-thanks! ;D

Nora,

 Here's a brief summary of Edgar Cayce;

Cayce was born in 1877 in Kentucky in a Christian family.  He records from his earliest days that he wanted to help heal people. Having no education, however, prohibited him from entering any medical practice.  When he was twenty-three, it is said that he helped cure himself of laryngitis.  In 1909, it is said that Cayce was induced into a hypnotic trance in which he gave a homeopathic remedy for an associate's illness.  His successes were only occasional, and the few reading that he did were sometimes accompanied by undeniable failures.  Once he tried to use his psychic powers to locate oil in Texas.  He clearly failed.   Cayce continued to be employed as a photographer, and faithfully taught Sunday school in a Disciples of Christ church.

In 1923 he met a man named Arthur Lammers of Dayton Ohio.  Lammers was a student of Theosophy and had considerable effect on Cayce.  Through Lammers influence, Cayce became convinced of reincarnation, astrology, Atlantis, Lemuria ( the pacific version of Atlantis),  as well as other Theosophic beliefs.  Cayce departed from orthodox Christianity, quit his job as a photographer, and began doing "life readings" for people on a full time basis.

Although many people regard Cayce as a "prophet" it is clear that much of his readings cannot be regarded as valid.  Besides the fact that many of his readings involved telling people of their former lives on Atlantis ( a theory now discredited) he also:

* predicted that Atlantis would rise from the ocean in the twentieth century

* New York would fall into the ocean in the 1970's

* California would slide into the Pacific at the same time

* Hitler would not pose a threat to the nations of Europe

* Cigarette smoking was not harmful to one's health

* Almonds will cure cancer, as well as untold number of bogus health tips.

  In the interest of fairness, I'll also add a link to the official Cayce website run by his sons;

http://www.edgarcayce.com/

I find the search engine at google.com to be an excellant source to use when conducting searchs. It boasts over 1.5 billion catalogued websites(three times more than any other comparable search engine). This means you will get alot of hits, but the advanced search feature allows you to adjust your search parameters to fine tune the desired results. I hope this helps. original.gif

Thanks Magikman!  That was especially nice to allow me to delve into opinions from both sides of his story. Maybe he was just meant to be a healer, not a prophet(shoulda kept his day job!) original.gif

don't throw the baby out with the bath on Edgar Cayce.  I don't know much about him; however I do understand he was sincere and his intent not self-serving.  I don't know if the "predictions" quoted by magicman are true or not, or where she/he got the information, but I would suggest to ponder that predictions are always precarious!

It takes a very bold person to "spout" what they see as "futuristic" so I doubt if there are any "failings" he should be condemned.  When we are part of the ALL we are one.  Anyone who doesn't fit the norm is either crucified or worshipped, neither of which are chosen by those who attempt to bring wisdom, love and guidance.  Everyone, even the greatest of prophets when taking on human form take on a challenge!!! -lori
Magikman
If you don't know much about him, what makes you think you know what his intentions were and whether he was sincere or not? Is it because he embraced    Theosophic beliefs like you do?  Try to remember, Hitler was a student of Theosophy also. That you choose to adopt a certain set of ideas that you think are right and important to you is fine, however, espousing esoteric spirituality to others doesn't necessarily make you right.

Cayce's sincerity isn't really an issue, people who are delusional and/or mentally unstable can be just as sincere as normal people because they have no concept of reality or of right and wrong. As for his intentions, they were clearly self-serving. He published many books and held countless 'readings' and personally benefited from the financial gain these activities collected. He made a very comfortable living by taking advantage of the gullible and desperate people that flocked to him. They, unfortunately, suffered from the misguided assumption that he could 'cure' whatever ailed them. In fact, he could be held criminally negligent today for his bogus medical advice.

The information I offered is easy enough to find. Try to focus your efforts a little more(like you did when you 'floated', 'passed', 'phased' thru that wall) and do some serious investigating. Remember, the key to knowledge is believing everything and believing nothing(?)  Statistically, that'll make you right half the time. By the way, us humans use the gender symbol to identify our sex for the purpose of this forum, since you seem to have a problem making that connection in your post. I'm not a cosmic citizen, so have yet to be assimilated by the Borg or the Annunaki or whichever alien race it is that is currently giving you joy rides in their spacecraft.

Last night I found a message board about archaeology, and they were hotly debating about the secrets hidden in 'the right paw of the Sphinx'and about how Cayce had said alot about it. Some said he didn't really, and others said his works were mostly interpreted by one man, who wrote what HE thought they meant, not necessarily what Cayce meant by it. It was entertaining, and educational.  They still don't know what's in there from what I read(and these are professors, etc. of archaeology.

Magicman, you seem to be sitting on a tack!  ;D

Lighten up...when I say "believe everything and believe nothing" it is meant that one leaves themself open to learn everything there is to learn without judgment.  Judgment is such a harsh act.
It stifles the mind and soul and creates arguments rather than discussions and learning.

If Edgar Cacye sincerely thought what he was doing was for the common good, then I respect him.  I can't judge his actions any more than I can Hitler's actions.  Certainly, I don't lack compassion for those who fell as the result of his actions, but why spend time judging when we could move on and explore other venues of existence?

To quote the Brits, "Don't get your knickers in a twist!"

And why is important I state if I am male or female, perhaps, I am neither...what difference does it make?

;D ;D
Magikman
Lory,

No, not a tack, but there definitely is a pain in my backside. A minor annoyance to be sure, but it's easy enough to deal with. Lets give it a shot.

True enough, I could care less what sexual orientation you subscribe to, the reference was to what you wrote in your previous post.

"I don't know if the "predictions" quoted by magicman are true or not, or where she/he got the information..."

It was your careless meaning and inattention I didn't particularly care for, and when provoked I tend to lash out at the ignorance of the person making the statement. Whatever your reason, bring yourself back to reality long enough to focus on the people you are communicating with. In the future it may behoove you to tread carefully when posting your opinion and try to be a bit more diligent in your responses.

As an example, I will now focus on your last post and show your tendency towards hypocrisy. In your last post you made this statement...

"Judgment is such a harsh act.
It stifles the mind and soul and creates arguments rather than discussions and learning."

However, in your post Humans - back to the drawing board you make this statement...

"I enjoy earth in the fullest of joys...but humans, well, on a scale of one to ten...maybe the majority would fall in the 3 range."

Hmmmm.... I wonder who's being 'judgemental' now? But wait, it gets even better. Here's your totally uncalled for post to the Member Ranks & Titles thread that had nothing to do with you at the time...

"A very human showing indeed!  This is a little depressing for me...it just goes to show how important trivia is to humans.  Does posting nonsense and one liners really give people a buzz!"

Since you seem to be enamored with quoting other people, you may like this....

Get your facts straight & then you can distort them as much as you please. - Mark Twain

Just happened to come across further information on Edgar Cayce and the 'reality' of his healing and psychic abilities. Alot of interesting facts are brought to light, for example, did you know he failed to 'cure' one of his own children, a baby boy who died in 1911? He also failed in his attempt to solve the Lindbergh kidnapping case. Here's a link to the page that details the 'Sleeping Prophet';

As far as i remember the lost wisdom of Atlantis is supposed to be held in the unexplored 'room' under the sphinx, and that it would be opened before the end of the 20th century. I don't remember if this is something that Cayce actually predicted or if it was just Graham Hancock's take on what Cayce said.

Either way it hasn't been opened yet so he's wrong about that one... but that said he was right about the room underneath, but i think that could easily be a case of if you predict enough things something is gonna be right.

The Life of Christ

Cayce's readings had already suggested the exalted position with which the Source viewed the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. References to the 'Lowly Nazarene,' the 'Master,' and the 'Prince of Peace' appeared thousands of times during trance sessions, in ways that suggested that the readings' recipients should aspire to a greater understanding of God. Now that Morton Blumenthal's curiosity had been piqued by his own life reading, he naturally wanted to know if Jesus the man actually existed, and if the accepted details of his life as put forth in the Bible were accurate. The fact that Morton Blumenthal - a Jew - first raised the subject, made the search for the historical Jesus all the more unusual.
To Edgar's relief, rarely did the contents of what became known as the Jesus readings - nor the hundreds of life readings that were later conducted for people purported to have played a role in the events of the early Christian Church - overtly contradict what appeared in the Bible. More often than not these readings added clarity and a deeper, more three-dimensional picture of the life and times of Jesus Christ. However, like so much else that came through in trance, the readings on Jesus also challenged anyone who studied them. (327) Perhaps the most intriguing information that came through Cayce concerned the preparation for His birth, a topic on which the Bible provides few details.
In a particularly fascinating discourse on biblical history, the Source suggested that preparations for the coming of the Messiah were underway four hundred years before the birth of Jesus. According to Cayce, the group of people who were 'preparing the way,' and in whose midst Jesus was eventually born, were the Essenes, or the 'Brotherhood.' Cayce described them as "a [noncelibate] religious order within Jewry," whose primary function was as record keepers, interpreters of the prophecies, and channels for the Messiah to come. According to the readings, because of their belief in astrology, numerology, and reincarnation, they were also generally viewed by the greater Jewish population as rebels and radicals.
For modern historians, the Essenes have long been an enigma, primarily because there is little mention of the sect's existence after the birth of Jesus. Much of what is now known about the Essenes comes from the Dead Sea Scrolls, which were discovered in Qumran in 1947, more than a decade after Cayce first discussed the Essenes and two years after his death. The Dead Sea Scrolls, which are generally believed to have been authored by the Essenes, ultimately created more confusion about who the Essenes were. However, the information revealed by the scrolls bears a striking similarity to the descriptions from Cayce's readings, and provides the single most compelling evidence that the biblical history as presented by Cayce might indeed be true. Although historians and the Cayce readings are in agreement that the Essenes were a Jewish sect, the Source went quite a bit farther in describing the makeup of the community. "They took Jews and Gentiles alike as members [as they did both men and women]," Cayce said. "This was the beginning of the period where women were considered as equals with the men in their activities, in their abilities to formulate, to live, to be channels. They joined by dedication ... a [matter of] free will." Perhaps most surprising of Cayce's claims was that the head of the Essenes at the time of Jesus' birth was a woman named Judy, who "had the experience of hearing voices and communication with the divine - voices, dreams, signs, symbols." The Source went on to say that Judy's birth was foretold by an angel who appeared before her mother and father. "That the entity was a daughter, rather than being a male, brought some disturbance [and] confusion, but was a decision from the powers on 'high,' and gave the first demonstration of woman's place in the affairs and associations of man, for [like] the teachings of Jesus [this] released woman from that bondage to which she had been held since the ideas of man conceived from the fall of Eve." (328)
It appears from the readings that Judy, who broke tradition by becoming the female head of this sect, also had the 'Divine' responsibility for recording and compiling much of what is now found in the Old Testament and in the ancient documents that comprise the Dead Sea Scrolls. According to the Source, the Essenes "labored in the preserving of records of His activities as the Child [and] the activities of the [Magi]. Judy had been the prophetess, the healer, the writer, the recorder." As this last reading would suggest, and the next would confirm, the Magi, who had come out of the East in search of the newborn Messiah, had actually been in contact with the Essenes even before His birth. The Magi were described as soothsayers, astrologers, interpreters of dreams and of palms, and also "those that were seekers for the truth, for [the coming Messiah]."
Not only did the Essenes devote themselves spiritually to the coming Messiah, but according to the Source, they took practical steps to bring about the event when their own astrological calculations, and those of the Magi, indicated that the arrival of the 'Promised One' was fast approaching. This was a time, according to the Source, when the Essene sages earnestly began studying the teachings of Persia, India, Greece, Egypt, and the Hebrews.
According to Cayce, the study took place on Mount Carmel, near Galilee, and not far from Nazareth. "Thus in [Mount] Carmel, where the priests of this faith were, there were [twelve] maidens chosen that were dedicated to this purpose [as potential channels for the Messiah]." The twelve maidens were purported to be selected from "all of those who chose to give those that were perfect in body and in mind for the service." As stated in other readings, the parents of these maidens were all hopeful that their daughter would be ultimately chosen. It was Mary, the entity who Cayce described as "an Aquarius - in its perception [and] perfection," who had been given by her mother at age "four," and "between twelve and thirteen [was] the one chosen."
Mary, like the other virgins, was put into training according to Essene tradition, which included "chastity, purity, love, patience, endurance - all of [ which] would be termed by many in the present as persecutions, but [were] tests for physical and mental strength ... These were kept balanced according to that which had been first set by Aran and Ra Ta." Although the point may have been initially lost on Morton and Edgar, here was not only a description of the education of the mother of Jesus, but the first of many references to the role that Ra Ta-Edgar Cayce, in a previous incarnationplayed in 'preparing the way.'
According to the readings, Mary had been in serious preparation for three years before she was chosen by an angel to be the mother of the Messiah. (329) The selection was made on "the temple steps [when the] maidens [were] going to the altar for prayer ... . As they mounted the steps, all were bathed in the morning sun, which not only made a beautiful picture but clothed all as in purple and gold. As Mary reached the top step [there was] thunder and lightning, and the [Angel Gabriel] led the way, taking the child [Mary] by the hand."
The Source confirmed that Jesus was immaculately conceived and stated that Mary herself was also divinely conceived, though in a somewhat different fashion. Like Edgar Cayce and Gladys Davis, Mary and her son Jesus were described as 'twin souls' or 'soul mates' separated at some early and as yet undefined period during Earth's 'indwelling.' Asked to explain the nature of Jesus' conception, the Source said: "The immaculate conception is the physical and mental ... attuned to spirit as to be quickened by same [Many will] say 'Impossible!' They say that it isn't in compliance with the natural law. [But] it is a natural law, as has been indicated by the projection of mind into matter ... . Neither Mary nor Jesus had a human father. They were one soul."
According to Cayce, once the teenage Mary was established as the future mother of the Messiah, the Essenes quickly sought to find her a husband. A thirty - six - year - old widower named Joseph was chosen, and the wedding, I which was performed in the temple at Carmel, "followed the regular ritual ... not ... in the Jewish temple but rather in the general meeting place of the Essenes." The Angel Gabriel again appeared in a vision and blessed the union. Mary then became pregnant.
As described in the Bible, the readings said Mary joined Joseph in Nazareth after the wedding, and "from [Nazareth] they went to Bethlehem to be taxed, or to register." The Source went an to fill in many new details: "Mary and Joseph's arrival [into Bethlehem] was in the evening ... the weather was cool, and there were crowds on the way ... from the hills of Judea." In another reading, the Source said: "In the evening ... the specter of His star in the evening sky brought awe and wonder to all who beheld [it]. At twilight, Joseph approached the inn that was filled with those who had also journeyed there on their way to be polled for the tax ... required by the Roman law ... Both Joseph and Mary were members of the [radical] sect ... and thus they were questioned by those not only in the political but in the religious authority in the cities. Then there was the answer by the innkeeper, 'No room in the inn,' especially for such an occasion. Laughter and jeers followed at the sight of the elderly man with the beautiful girl, his wife heavy with child." (330)
Regarding the innkeeper, who has been generally portrayed as heartless, Cayce provided an interesting detail: "Much of that as has been recorded as we find is not ... in keeping with [what] the [innkeeper] did [His name was] Apsafar, who was of the Essenes [He] knew of those things that had been foretold by the teachers ... and made all preparations as near in keeping with what had been foretold." Apsafar therefore sent Mary and Joseph to a grotto behind the stables to protect them from the Romans, where according to the Source, the Child was born.

Epilogue: The New Tomorrow

Much attention has also been given to Cayce's prophecies. Despite the fact that such predictions represent less than 2 percent of the trance information provided by Edgar, upward of two hundred books and magazine articles have been devoted to them. Despite the overwhelming attention paid to the prophecies, surprisingly little thought has been given to the spirit in which they were provided: that the future is uncertain because only mankind - as builder and co-creator with God - ultimately determines the outcome. And here lies what may be the most important and least appreciated aspect of Edgar Cayce's legacy. (531)

Well I am glad I discovered this thread before it disappeared, as I am a member of the Association For Research and Enlightenment, the orginization he founded, and have been to their headquarters in Virginia Beach a couple times. As is to be expected, there are a number of skeptics and detractors so I will do my best to take on what I can of it from my own knowledge of the man and his life.

So first off: "Once he tried to use his psychic powers to locate oil in Texas. He clearly failed." This is only part of the story. Many of his readings prior to this essentially indicated he would not be successful in these type of endeavours. When he went ahead and did it anyway, urged on by some get rich quick type schemers, a reading point blank indicated that he would not be able to use his gifts for material gain. THAT is why it failed. Whenever he attempted to use them for his own gain, they failed.

"Through Lammers influence, Cayce became convinced of reincarnation, astrology, Atlantis, Lemuria ( the pacific version of Atlantis), as well as other Theosophic beliefs. Cayce departed from orthodox Christianity, quit his job as a photographer, and began doing "life readings" for people on a full time basis."

True to a point, but it was the readings themselves that convinced Cayce of these things, and one will note that these discoveries shocked him. It wasn't until they kept coming up, again and again that he began to believe it. In fact, some of his first readings that revealed reincarnation were on the medical readings, NOT the life readings. Read There is a River.

* predicted that Atlantis would rise from the ocean in the twentieth century
-portions of land, not Atlantis itself, so this cannot be confirmed or denied.
* New York would fall into the ocean in the 1970's
* California would slide into the Pacific at the same time
"Watch New York, Connecticut and the like. Many portions of the east coast will be disturbed, as well as many portions of the west coast, as well as the central portion of the United States. Los Angeles, San Francisco, most of all these will be among those that will be destroyed before New York, or New York City itself, will in the main disappear. This will be another generation though, here; while the southern portions of Carolina, Georgia, these will disappear. This will be much sooner. The waters of the Great Lakes will empty into the Gulf of Mexico."

.....I don't see a date in here, do you? I think it was more the WRITERS of those books in the 70s, such as the Sleeping Prophet, than the readings themselves. Actually the readings state that much of these disasters would actually be the result of the pole shift, which would begin taking place in the 90s. His readings also clearly state that these changes will be GRADUAL. Draw your own conclusions.
http://www.theastralworld.com/prophecies/e...predictions.php

And let's not forget some of the ones that DID come true!! http://www.near-death.com/experiences/cayce11.html

* Hitler would not pose a threat to the nations of Europe
Huh? Then what about this actual reading:
"Thus an unseen force, gradually growing, must result in an almost direct opposition to the Nazi, or Aryan theme. This will gradually produce a growth of animosities. And unless there is interference by what many call supernatural forces and influences -- which are active in the affairs of nations and peoples -- the whole world as it were... will be set on fire by militaristic groups and people who are for power expansion."

* Cigarette smoking was not harmful to one's health
lol not to much of a stretch here, probably wishful thinking, more, as he himself was a smoker.
* Almonds will cure cancer, as well as untold number of bogus health tips.
No almonds? Are you sure?

Red Wine, Coffee, and Almonds May Lower Prostate Cancer Risk

WebMD Health NewsReviewed by Gary D. Vogin, MDApril 5, 2001 -- Red wine, almonds, coffee, and certain fruits and nuts rich in a nutrient called boron may help stave off prostate cancer, preliminary research suggests.

While researchers are not sure exactly how boron lowers risk for prostate cancer, the new study shows that men who consumed the greatest amount of boron were 64% less likely to develop prostate cancer, when compared with men who consumed the least amount of boron in the study. The findings were presented this week at the Experimental Biology conference in Orlando, Fla.

The prostate is a walnut-sized gland located just below the bladder and in front of the rectum. The American Cancer Society predicts that there will be about 180,400 new cases of prostate cancer in this country in the year 2000, and about 31,900 men will die of this disease. Boron is a naturally occurring trace element that is believed to play a role in certain cellular processes involved in cancer protection.

"This is the very first study relating dietary boron intake and cancer risk," says lead researcher Zuo-Fen Zhang, MD, PhD, director of the Cancer Epidemiology Training Program at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Public Health.

While cautioning that the findings are preliminary, he tells WebMD that "there was a big reduction of prostate cancer in people who consumed the greatest amount of boron."

And those men in the study who ate the second-highest and third-highest amount of boron also had a lower risk than men in the study who consumed the least amount of boron, he says.

To arrive at their findings, the researchers compared dietary patterns of 76 men with prostate cancer to that of 7,651 males without cancer. Men in the lowest quartile of boron consumption ate roughly one slice of fruit per day, while those in the highest quartile consumed 3.5 servings of fruit per day.

"We see this association is very specific to prostate cancer," he says. "We did not observe any association for boron and colon/rectal, breast, uterine, cervical or skin cancer," Zhang says. The researchers used data from the large-scale, ongoing National Health and Nutrition Examination study to draw these conclusions.

The next step, he says, is to repeat the findings in a larger study to see if the results hold.

So what should you do in the meantime?

"Eat a balanced diet that especially includes fruits and nuts," says another study researcher Charlene Rainey, the president of Food Research Inc. of Costa Mesa, Calif. And remember that boron is anything but boring, she says. There's something for everyone when it comes to boron-rich foods.

"Almonds, peanuts, peanut butter, grapes, raisins, grape juice, dried fruits, dried nuts, and legumes are rich in boron," she says. "Red wine is also a very good source of boron," she says. Some of the compounds found in red wine also have been shown to lower risk for heart disease when it is consumed in moderation.

............not to mention that it helps with cholestrol and lowering the blood pressure. So almonds have many health benefits.

"He published many books and held countless 'readings' and personally benefited from the financial gain these activities collected."

....Simply not true. He published no real books of his own, other than My Life as a Seer, his Memoirs, and as far as financial gain, I'm not sure what sources you are reading, as anyone who has even read one of his biographies will see that he was dirt poor his whole life. Also, you imply that he charged for his readings, which is also utterly false. There was a brief time, when, urged on by some of his supporters that he did charge a meager fee, but he quickly stopped doing that, as he felt it was wrong to take money from those who wanted his help. He never again charged a single cent for any of them.

"Last night I found a message board about archaeology, and they were hotly debating about the secrets hidden in 'the right paw of the Sphinx'and about how Cayce had said alot about it."

.......Yes, he predicted that when man was spiritually ready, we would discover a Hall Of Records underneath the sphinx, as well as I think, two more in existence, that contained the origins of man, and the Atlantean civilization. They have dug there a little bit, and nothing has been found as of yet, but this does not mean its impossible, or that it doesn't exist. Who knows.

"Just happened to come across further information on Edgar Cayce and the 'reality' of his healing and psychic abilities."

Yeah, and I've read through that site. Are you to say then, that everything the man did should be discounted? Furthermore, what about other sources, such as Dr. Harold J. Reilly who treated a number of patients that Cayce specifically sent to him (having never met the man), and he followed his treatments to amazing success? Reilly, who had never even met Cayce, an unbiased doctor, was convinced of his legitimacy. Not to mention the testimonies that can even be viewed at the ARE headquarters. For every falsity on may or may not justly claim, there is plenty of evidence out there for his success as well.

Go to edgarcayce.org the offical ARE website. This man should not be dismissed but for a few skeptics out there.

He did predict we would find an atlantean stone in the late 20th century, and we did. Larimar was discovered recently, it only comes out of one source, and it is on an island in the Atlantic.

Whether atlantean means from Atlantis or the Atlantic, he was still right. It is a kind of random thing to prophesize, but there it is.

Well it all has to do with the starting of the pole shift, which will ultimately culminate in these disasters. Will it happen, though? I cannot say. This could have a lot to do w/ the 2012 theories, if it is at all possible.

What I appreciate about Cayce was his motivation for using his gift. He was looking to make a profit. I came away with the idea that he even did readings for barter, if someone was in dire need and couldn't afford it.

Is his approach (laying down and going into a self-hypnotic trance) very different from other psychic methods? It seems unique to me. That's not a statement for or against Cayce (I actually find the man fascinating); just an observation.

Its because of the source of his readings. He was able to, in a trance state access the Akashic Record, or the Book of Life, or universal mind, whatever you want to call it. These others mostly claim to be talking to spirits and all kinds of nonsense..however some psychics do state the record does exist. Here's what Cayce himself had to say about it:

"I see myself as a tiny dot out of my physical body, which lies inert before me."

"I find myself oppressed by darkness and there is a feeling of terrific loneliness."

"Suddenly, I am conscious of a white beam of light, knowing that I must follow it or be lost."

"As I move along this path of light I gradually become conscious of various levels upon which there is movement."

"Upon the first levels there are vague, horrible shapes, grotesque forms such as one sees in nightmares."

"Passing on, there begins to appear on either side misshapen forms of human beings with some part of the body magnified."

"Again there is change and I become conscious of gray-hooded forms moving downward. Gradually, these become lighter in color."

"Then the direction changes and these forms move upward and the color of the robes grows rapidly lighter." [higher heavenly realms]

"Next, there begins to appear on either side vague outlines of houses, walls, trees, etc., but everything is motionless."

"As I pass on, there is more light and movement in what appear to be normal cities and towns. With the growth of movement I become conscious of sounds, at first indistinct rumblings, then music, laughter, and singing of birds. There is more and more light, the colors become very beautiful, and there is the sound of wonderful music. The houses are left behind; ahead there is only a blending of sound and color."

"Quite suddenly I come upon a Hall of Records. It is a hall without walls, without ceiling, but I am conscious of seeing an old man who hands me a large book, a record of the individual for whom I seek information."

.....He was basically having OBE's during his readings, travelling through different spiritual levels of vibrations, from the hellish realms (lower vibrations) to the heavenly realms (higher vibrations) ultimately to the Records. Interesting, eh?

A lot more plausible than typical cold read things like "I'm sensing", "I'm feeling" "Do you..."

.....Notice how NONE of the Cayce life readings state anything like that. They are all matter of fact and to the point. And yet, his readings astonished people with how much he knew about them......not fishing for info like these supposed psychics of today to. If you study the content of the readings carefully, you will see they are poles apart.
