Full Version: How does one get their psychic ability discovered?

Pretend you had the ability to move items with your mind at anytime. Say you had videotapes of yourself doing this. How would you try to get exposure? (I'm talking about getting on tv.) I cannot do this I'm just asking what you would do.

are you sure you want to do this? Getting your name recognized because you have special 'powers' or talents can have really bad downfalls...for a while it may be good....but you might soon start finding out that fame isnt what it seems....believe me i know...You might want to think a little more about this before you go calling newsstations, papers and other forms of media...i'd take a look at what you're getting yourself into. However if you've learnt the dangers and looked carefully enough into it and thought about it enough...if you still think you want to go for it, then go for it and i wish you the best of luck!
I would go to the Army and levitate a tank with my mind. Then I would go to Iraq and levitate all of the terrorists way up into the air where I would then levitate all the explosives they possess....then I would ignite the explosives with my mind....this should gain at least some attention. 
Personally, I would go on an internet forum, much akin to this one. And have lengthy discussions with people from all over the world to try and convince them of my abilities.
HAHAHA! Those are good responses. If one lived in a smaller town woulden't it make since to instead contact the media from a larger city? I would imagine most people would believe I was jokeing and ignore me.
If I truly had the ability to move things with my mind, I would relieve James Randi of $1,000,000.00 and go from there. I guarantee when the media hears of a professional debunker like him paying out to a telekinetic, they will become interested.
I would go online and learn more about myself . Are there others like me ? Can anyone learn this ? Questions I wanted answers to when I first started were apparent . All in all I decided I would hate media exposure ... almost everyone subjected to fame becomes corrupt . Furthermore the kind of family I come from would not take what I can do lightly ( As of now , they are clueless to what I do on my spare time ) So I decided to spread the news about psi and try to teach and explain what it is to people who have any curiosity or have just awakened to what they can do and have many questions going through their mind on what the heck is going on around them . Finding out you have psi / any kind of power or whatever you would like to call it is not as cool as it seems .

i think i would keep it only here on the forum and with some friends ...otherwise u get the media all over your ass i think if u can prove it
If i could do stuff like that i would help people and i would like show my friends but not like just anyone...when something wierd happens i just act all surprised...i dont think publicity would be good
