I was working and living in Wuerzburg, Germany. I had a job teaching English to German students, I had just taught an evening class to around a dozen German students. Several of the female students, maybe three or four of them, came up as I was collecting my things, and asked if I would like to walk downtown rather than wait for the trolley, because it was a mild evening. I agreed, but said I had to leave the roster with the office. When I came back across the street, the street was totally empty. I thought they must have left without me. I was standing on the curb, trying to decide if I should walk or wait for the trolley, when I had the feeling that something was happening behind me.

I turned around, and I could see something like swirling dust against the stone wall of the building. Gradually, several bent over figures took shape. I stood there gawking at them as they completely took shape, stood up, turned around all at the same time and chattering with each other came walking towards me.

I was not frightened by them; after all, I had just spent a couple of hours in a classroom with them, they appeared to be young girls. It was like "Beam me down, Scotty." It was exactly like that, but the material swirling around was much smaller than the TV series showed.

That was the weirdist thing that ever happened to me.

I used the experience in my trilogy, VALLEY OF MANY WINDS. I could never get a publisher for it, I had to self-publish. I don't think that the "powers that be" want things like that discussed and do everything they can to suppress them.

are you saying it was those exact girls who you were waiting for who 'beamed down', or other students in the class or people who looked like them?

There is an alien race of all females don't forget.. I like your story..

Strange storie but still possible. The could have been ghosts. I live near an indian massacre site but a friend of mine is right next to it and he said he has seen strange swirling dust at night before so he couldn't see much of anything though.

the swirling reminds me of a dream of some friend I knew travelling from Thailand to Egypt and also of old west african superstition myths of the swirling winds stealing their children....

Perhaps you could expand on your story, because it feels like potential hollywood material...valley of the alien females or children of the damned or the world without children

"I don't think that the "powers that be" want things like that discussed and do everything they can to suppress them." HA, DON'T BE TOO SURPRISED. AS YOU WERE DOING THE TYPING, DID YOU EVER THINK THAT THEY WERE DOING THE THINKING?

Zeus

alien.gif A few years back a guy paid me to drive his 6 door limo from Wisconsin to Salem Oregon. I took the southern route and came though the desert by the Three Sisters Mountain range. I was cruising along (about 65) when I saw my first Dust Devil about 1/8 th. mile to the side. I was fascinated till I realized it was coming towards me. I speeded up- I slowed down. I could not shake it. I was soon ingulfed and rode in its center for a few seconds. Hairy to drive I'll tell you. any way I watched it continue out of sight.
When I stopped at a resort in the Cascades, I told the clerk about it. He told me the Indians thought Whirl Winds were spirits. The way this one acted, I believe them.
