Hi, when I was about 5 or 6yrs old, I remember having the most vivid dream? I would be in outerspace, on a large ship and see the planets so close, flaming stars etc. I had a feeling of peace and happiness at the beauty of it all. I can also remember a bit about where I was, there were large glass veiwing areas and mostly metal. I'd always assumed I was dreaming this, but the detail doesn't match what most 5yr olds would see. This was almost 30yrs ago, so movies weren't made with the same special effects as today, so I know that it had nothing to do with movies or t.v..
Any ideas? I think this happened 2 or 3 times.

Did your mother give you vitamin supplements when you were growing up ?
an excessive amount of B12 can cause vivid dreams . And 30 years ago we still had Doctor Who, combined with a childs imagination .
I don't want to claim it was nothing special , I just want to go through some of the more probable reasons for the experience first . original.gif

Hi Kismit,
I never had vitamins as a child and have never in my life sat down and watched Dr Who. I've always been an active dreamer though, all my dreams are in colour and I will often have more than 1 per night that I can remember.
The space dream? is one of those that had something more than usual for me though.

I've had some bizarre and realistic dreams in the past - in one i even had credits roll up as if it was a film! My guess is that you were dreaming.
