Hello. I thought it would be nice to start a desktop thread. Post a picture of your desktop so everyone else can see!

So how exactly do you do it?

Take a screen shot (On Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP you press the Print Screen or Print scrn key near SCROLL LOCK), open an image editing program like Microsoft Paint (Any will work, but Paint is the fastest and smallest file size), go up to EDIT, then PASTE. A picture of your desktop should show up, the screenshot you just took. Now save that. If it is more then 50k, either save it as a BMP or cut down on the file size somehow, or host it and link to it, what im trying to say is figure out how to get it on the forum. (If I wasn't clear, a picture of your DESKTOP)

I would do it but there are several reasons not to.

1 Too many hacked programs,
2 Not enough hacked programs
3. Personal information might be displayed
4. Boring desktop

And Five, the main reason I won't display my desktop........

I don't want you knowing that I'm still using windows 3.1

My desktop has an active star trek lcars (library computer access retrieval system) display with blinky lights and all. And in the center display is my favorite GVC. Sorry about the jpeg artifacts in this capture.

I don't see much point in displaying my desktop Icons, but here is a nice piece of work that TheOracle did. I use it for a desktop. I think I've had it for about 6 months now.

I'm not showing u my desktop.... but here is the picture i used....

My computer has issues with taking screencaps...crashes every time I try and paste them into an image program...but, after a long search (almost a full three seconds!) I have located the images I frequently alternate between, with the almighty google

I have, however, been known to flick to this one whenever I feel like a change, because Jenemba is cool (in an evil way), and I think Gogetta is damn pretty (in a tough as nails, gonna-kill-you-dead way).

Cool! I don't know much about anime, but it looks cool!

I usually use whatever picture Im in the mood for, I have been using Buffy for a few days now, but usually either have 3d Art, something mystical (Dragon, Wizard..) or a Raven

The only reason I said desktop (its nice to see pictures) is because its nice to see the styles people use and if people are slobs like me and have their desktop flooded with icons and nothing in folders. (I cleanded my desktop up just before posting the picture so it would not come across bad )

Good Metal Gear wallpapers are tough to find, so I was forced to make my own. Anyone know of any good ones?

Mine was sent to me by a friend who thought it was very much like the Vampire character I write about.

Al's is from a game called Koudelka, which I'm re playing atm and if you type in the name on google you'll get some good screen savers.
I also have one by The Oracle I'll have to get Sar to post it if I can't do it myself..

Yes it is an MSN 9 bar. But if you don't want to pay for MSN.

Try this bar. I think it's better then TGTsoft's. It's still in beta, but I haven't had any issues with it.
