is there any good reason that this movie should be redone?

I am convinced beyond a doubt that no one has an imagination anymore.

you just wait. pretty soon there's going to be remakes of "weekend at bernie's," "plan 9 from outer space," and "this island earth." you just wait and watch. the poor horror genre takes the brunt of this current remake fever, and few of these "reinvisionings" as hollywood likes to call them, are especially good.

sorry schadeaux, but there aren't any plans to remake plan 9 as far as i know. still there are plans to make a king kong remake (jack black has been cast. no not as the monkey), a day of the dead remake, and an amityville remake, among billions of others.

Sounds like Hollywood has less and less imagination. The only remake that has been worth while recently was Dawn of the Dead, but that is because it was practically an entirely different movie from the original. Also why remake movies that were done within the last 20 years? It's almost pointless. They should remake ones that are older and haven't been remade before. I mean King Kong was remade already, why do it again? I can't believe Peter Jackson is even doing that remake, he's capable of doing something much better and deserving of his talent.
