Dog Feels Below Par After Eating 28 Golf Balls

LONDON (Reuters) - Vets cut open a German Shepherd dog to find she had scoffed no fewer than 28 golf balls.

Eighteen-month old Libby had been coughing blood after weeks of fetching golf balls at the northern England course where owner Mike Wardrop works as a bar manager.

Wardrop told Reuters on Friday he hadn't realized the dog had a secret appetite for the dimpled balls she found at Didsbury Golf Club in Manchester

Aww poor dog, that must have been painful.

What a dumb dog! I bet my cat Vanilla would do that if she was a dog, she's as smart as a wet noodle.

Not to sound sarcastic. But did anyone there think about FEEDING the poor dog.

I'm sorry but I think there is more to this than meets the eye here. It looks to me like a cover-up to protect someone. I mean is the owner of the golf course helping to pay the vet bills? Did anti-dog golfers leave golf balls placed in locations that the poor animal was sure to find them? did someone coat the golfballs in meat sauce so they would be sure that they were swollowed? Too many un-answered questions.
