Yep, Im new.. Dont ask about my username

Anyways, my mother was going threw her old pictures, and can across a few graveyard ones. She 'claimed' to have seen orbs in both of these images, and whats odder, my cousin had filmed her room, being weird like that, twice, and orbs were in the video

Of corse, I don't doubt my mother or my cousin, but neither one has showen me the pictures, or tapes. And now I am just beliving its nothing more then sunlight on the camera's lens, when the pictures where taken. And how the light reflected on the video camera's lens also, with my cousin...

Any, real experience, I suppose, paranormal people belivie my mother and cousins story? Or not?

Do explain if you do belivie them

original.gif Hi Nekochan

Were you using digital cameras and camcorders? Orbs or light anomalies are very common on these and are almost always dust, moths, hairs, spiders etc.....

Cufflink
I agree with Becs. Orbs caught on film have become very common since the arrival of digital cameras.

I'm not saying that genuine orbs can't be caught on film (whatever these orbs may actually be), and I am fairly certain I once saw the reflection of one in a window one night. But if you're using a digital camera, get ready for lots of orbs with perfectly mundane explanations.

Sorry, am TOTALLY unconvinced by orbs, I think its just dust.
Especially when captured by digital camera! rolleyes.gif

But thats just the sceptic in me... grin2.gif

BTW Cuff sweety, nice to know I rate above the PS2!! (I presume I do anyway... wink2.gif )

Well I dont believe I have seen an all-singing, all dancing league of orbs yet... grin2.gif

No seriously, without mickey taking, which would be unfair, I have ony ever seen them in photos. I have never seen one cross the room like some people have, like Cuff has for instance.
If I did I may have a different view altogether...

I've seen a couple of orbs with my naked eye.

Once was in a conservatory at nightfall. I was sitting speaking with my sister and suddenly a little, tiny pinpoint of light 'floated' past my face, then zipped off at an angle. Seen for all of about a second, covering about 2 ft. I know it wasn't an insect or dust. It was just a speck of light.

Another time, not long afterwards, I was sitting before the computer in work and another light speck passed between my face and the screen quite happily, no rush, just clear-as-day, in-your-face orb passing.....

Never caught one on film though... wink2.gif

But do orbs ever speak? dontgetit.gif If orbs are ghosts I mean. cool.gif

My personal take on orbs, if they are a real phenomena, is that it is the soul of a being, or perhaps the core of a spirit.

Having said that, I'm still not sure either way if they do exist, and I still think that camera's are fooled all or most of the time.

Here's some interesting bits on orbs from a while back.

Maybe the camera is the only thing that catches what has always been there, whatever Orbs really are.

I recently went to spend the night at a haunted castle in Staffordshire, England.
Several people claimed to see orbs in a room where activity is said to be rife.
I was most disappointed as I saw absolutely nothing.
I did however have a picture taken while we were there, whilst climbing the steps of one of the towers. It was taken by a paranormal investigator who is 'very unimpressed' with orbs, however he kept a copy of the photo in the tower as the orbs were blurred and appeared to be fast moving.
On enlarging the image they were almost square and appeared above my head and to the side of me.
So I dont entirely dismiss orbs I just think the majority of them are suspect and probably have rational explainations attached to them.
I may sound sceptical but I am a believer of all things paranormal at heart!! original.gif

Orbs - Schmorbs!!!!!!!!

I got the pics on my digital camera of the show on Saturday night, and there are 'orbs' everywhere. But it's a modern building......and it's dusty - as all theatres are.

The chappie that invented the term 'orb' now completely rejects the idea of them being paranormal in origin. I have never captured them on ordinary 35mm, only on digital camera.

I remain unconvinced................except for that bright blue ball of light in the crop circle in broad daylight that my mate got on his 35mm camera......*waffle*...but that's another story..........
