How about some more historical debates? Like...
Was The Great War inevitable by 1914?
The Treaty of Versailles, Right or wrong?
Hitler: Genius or mad-man?
Mr Ed
Jun 7 2005, 06:53 PM
They sound good, however I don't think anyone want would to argue for the last one, saying that he was a genius that is. I don't think they would be able to put up much of a fight.
Walken
Jun 7 2005, 06:54 PM
Mr. Ed, I'd gladly argue that he was a genius against you.
Mr Ed
Jun 7 2005, 07:06 PM
Walken, you know that I would love the chance to argue with you. However I am prepared to be realistic. For debating you need to research. I am too lazy. Example: At the moment I am doing AS exams and I have only revised for one subject. I am lazy, this is not good I know. However, if you were to start a normal thread saying 'was hitler a genius?' then I would most certainly comment. I don't expect you to do this, I am just saying I am too lazy. Sad I know.

Just my two cents. Some of them may have been done.

I know this one is kinda sickening already as it lasted for WEEKSS .. why not start a debate on 'whether MJ is really innocent or not' even though it has been done already.. just for those that are still unsatisied and need to burn some anger out and lay down their judgements ...

I'm unsure whether these have been suggested before as I did not want to read through 22 pages of replies..
Here are a few debates that I would find interesting:
1. Should gays/lesbians be allowed to adopt children?
2. Is it unfair to raise cigarette prices since it is our "freedom" to smoke?
And on the animal front..
3. Should Pitbulls be kept as pets?
4. Exotic animals: Pets or wildlife?
I'm sure I can think up some more eventually

Well as I know many people on this site are into video games, there could be many debates, some debates could include.....................
Does Nintendo have a future in the video-games industry?
Are the quality of games still as high as they once were?
Is there enough innovation in todays consoles and games?
