I am in need of some guidance. I have a relative who is having problems with what I think is a poltergeist. It appeared about a year ago and started by moving small objects. This lady moved to a new house and the poltergeist has followed. except now it seems to get angry. Objects such as coins and buttons hit the wall with such force that it chips the paint. Two nights ago a toy came up the stairs by itself.And last night this girl felt a cold hand on her head. She has two boys(7 & 9) and her boyfriend. They have all seen these events. My question is- what do we do and who can we contact? We live in Alberta, Canada. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If I were you i'd set up about a billion cameras throughout the house. Imagine if you recorded the ghost or objects flying around? If you were able to get some good footage of this haunting, you could sell it and buy a new, non-haunted house!

Hi nutty, where abouts in the world do you live? is my first question? and secondly have either of you checked out the history of the house? Spirits require a hell of alot of energy to lift and throw objects and they tend to get it off people that are in close proximity. Does your relative or the children ever feel tired or worn out, very easily? do any parts of the house go icy cold for no apparent reason? It does sound as though they have a benevolent spirit and as children are involved i advise on calling in a priest!!!!!! Thats all the advice i can give.

We live in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada and I have a few more details. The first encounter happened when Shauna was 18 and three months pregnant. She lived alone and layed down for a nap in the afternoon. When she awoke every candle in the house was lit. Nobody had been there as the doors where locked and deadbolted. A quick question about priests. How do you approach one and how do you choose the right one? We live in a conservative and elderly community....finding a believer could be difficult. Should we be concerned about the children and how can we protect them. Do crosses or St. Christophers protect them or is that just in the movies. Shauna is now 29. Thanks for your help and your ideas.....its nice to have somewhere to look for advice.

Hey nutty, definitley sounds like a haunting, sounds like a haunting a friend of mine had and there is a child involved, he asked me to go over and communicate with the spirit and it was havin none of it just that he was male and 27 years old, as for the priest anyone will do, they should be more than happy to help. our one was and i don't think that there has been anymore starnge goings on,you will never know until you ask mate, anyways let me know the out come.

Hi Again......A few more details today.....I have Shauna making up a timeline for all the encounters and found out something very interesting. I was telling her about the energy and how to address it and I asked her if she had ever seen anything that looked like energy and I found out that she has seen small white lights that float....I'm thinking these are what you call orbs. They are not there all the time but have been probably five or six times. Also these events never happen before 10 pm and are always on the upper floor in the home. I asked her if she had bought anything old or was given anything like that and she has told me that her boyfriend found a very old coin at work and brought it to her house....this is around the time the events started. However the coin is no longer in the house. Might not be anything but thought all should know. Also one last thing the events are isolated to the inside of the house and have never taken place outside. Thanks again for all the useful info.......Mike

Hey Mike, by the sounds of things that old coin started all this paranormal activity, as the coin is no longer there the spirits should have left but obviously have attached themselves to the people that live in the house, try to communicate with them as as you mentioned and tell them that they are frightening the children and ask the spirits to leave, usually they are quite respectable and do but then you get the ones that don't and if they don't i think that the priest is in order. Try and look into the history of the copin if you can, all the best
