Anyone who goes to a WWE show, and takes his moral values from there, really shouldn't count as a person in my book. They are all performers, and the majority of the crowd do view them as such. I mean, how many people in the crowd would really think that what he says is what he thinks. "Wrestling isnt real"....

Many people are idiots. And in this time the last thing we need to do is give them thoughts.

QUOTE
Do we look at movies, and when an Arab or such plays a negative role think that counts as a racist view. No. No matter how many movies come out with America playing the good guy, and the rest of the world playing bad guys (generally Russian, German or such) we dont walk out of the cinema thinking that what we sore was a general example of the population.

As I've already said "an entertainment show of this type". There is something far more personal about WWE than a movie. An generally the movies would be portraying a terrorist anyway. And you do get controversial movies. I'm sure there are some that though 'The Eternal Jew' wouldn't have any effect on how Nazi Germany viewed Jewish people.

QUOTE
Kane basically raped a woman, and nothing was really done about it....Does that mean wthat the audience now think rape is ok?

Rape is a little less subtle than racism. And he is portayed as a heel. They wouldn't have face Kane rape Lita. They shouldn't have someone making racist comments while being portrayed as a face.

QUOTE
If WWE brought him in as a heel, without this gimmick, the crowd would abuse him still about his background....and eventually that would be put into his character anyway.

Oh I know. And I would aplaud teh WWE more, if rather than getting cheep heat from race tension in the US at the mo, they created a face character for people to ally with and maybe take some of the hatred away. Or alternatively, make a heel that has nothing to do with 9/11 and anti-Arab sentiment.

QUOTE
And if Smackdown really want to kill there title anymore then giving it to JBL, then they will remove undertaker from chasing it. I mean.... If a legend of the industry (wwe) is within grasp of a title, and then just backs off and forgets about it....the title must surely be very important..... I have no problem with him not winning it, but being in the general vacinity will do the title better, as long as JBL loses the damn thing.

Anyone would be better than JBL. Funaki would be better. Seriously. He's not as over, but by god is he more talents.... in fact Funaki's whole run is a bit of a joke. Isn't he Cruiserweight at the mo? And the cruiserweight title is now on velocity?

QUOTE
Anyhow since Wrestlemania is all about the drawing power...... I cant see why WWE would leave JBL champion. Angle or Eddie would be an obvious choice, maybe followed by Booker T, with Booker vs one of them in the title match. The only other person I would think of putting in there would be Undertaker, as he is immensely over. RVD needs more build up now as a singles competitor before holding the championship...... but that wouldnt take long, just more promo time and a couple of good wins.......

You foget, Vince is in charge.

Rumour for Wrestlemania it might be JBL(or Angle) vs John Cena, which I don't agree with but whatever

You also gotta remember alot of little kids go to wrestling events, while I still enjoy the gimmick, kids might not understand, and reinact them beating on Arabs

Wouldn't that be great, if they actually tried to be more creative and make him a face.I still think it's a better twist on cheap heat, then La Resistance or Kenzo

Yeah, plus Hassan seems really good on the mic, and is charasmatic, which Kenzo and La Resistance are not.

I really think it's gonna have to be Angle, I mean, Cena and JBL aren't the best in the ring, the only thing that could save that match is Cena's overness

Subtemperate
Wrestlemania is all about overness.... Ability is a secondary consideration. Cena needs to drop the US, and make a statment saying he wants the world title though. They need to have the world title the one EVERYONE wants, and surely Cena would realise he has had that title on a string for about a year, he needs to move his sights upwards.

Raw at least has a group of guys all after the world title..... smackdown it seems no-one really cares, but at least Big SHow and Angle are now adding something to the division. Eddie vs Booker should still be the number one match for Wrestlemania in my opinion.

Well heres the card for new years revolution...

It has been confirmed that Paul Heyman is backstage at today’s SmackDown taping at The Mohegan Sun and is expected to be used on television. At this point nothing more is known other than Heyman is at SmackDown and should play some sort of role on this week’s edition of the program. More information will be posted as it is obtained.

Well, so much for that theory he was gone.... I wonder if he will indeed be on tv.

Sean Waltman (formerly known as X-Pac) posted a message on his official message board at SeanWaltman.com claiming that former WWE superstar and Playboy Playmate Joanie Laurer (formerly known as Chyna) was arrested on January 1st for domestic battery.

According to Waltman, Laurer hit him in the face several times after a visit to the Playboy Mansion. Sean said that what made incident so bad is that it occurred in front of his children. Laurer was released from custody earlier today by authorities.

While we are still unable to confirm Waltman’s claims, Laurer is set to star in the new season of VH-1’s “Surreal Life” reality series, and as most people have heard, Laurer and Waltman recently released a pornographic video of themselves.

From the Wilkes Barre Times Leader:

Triple H shows many talents other than wrestling
by Michael Danilowicz

At the "In Your House" pay-per-view in October on 1996, commentator Jim Ross predicted that the two young men wrestling in the opening match would both be future world champions. At that time it was a very bold statement; these two men were Stone Cold Steve Austin and Hunter Hearst Helmsley.

Needless to say Ross was correct in his prediction, as both wrestlers became two of the most successful superstars of all time.

Although Helmsley has been wrestling for over 10 years, that doesn't mean his best days are behind him. In 2004 he held the WWE World Title, starred in the movie "Blade: Trinity" opposite Wesley Snipes and wrote a book "Making The Game: Triple H's Approach to a Better Body."

When he started wrestling, Triple-H's character was a sophisticated snob. The gimmick worked well for Helmsley but others at the time were less than impressive; there was a plumber named T.L. Hopper and the long forgotten Friar Ferguson.

"Ability can not be denied," Triple-H said.

"If you have the personality, charisma and ability you can make an impact, no matter the name or the gimmick."

On January 5, Triple-H and the WWE Raw superstars return to the Wachovia Arena. Helmsley will be taking on Randy Orton, who is also one of his opponents in the Elimination

Chamber at the next pay-per-view "New Year's Revolution."

In the previous two Elimination Chambers, Triple-H didn't fare well, health-wise. In the first Elimination Chamber Rob Van Dam landed on Helmsley's throat and sent him to the hospital. In the second event the well-muscled Triple H entered the match injured, he said, with a torn groin.

While he has had his share of injuries, Triple-H has been better known for his tremendous conditioning and physique. Instead of writing an autobiography as his first book, the superstar decided to write a fitness book instead.

"My book is for anyone that wants to get in shape," he said.

"I think everyone should work out in one way, shape or form. Working out is probably the biggest thing you can do to keep yourself healthy."

So how does his fitness plan compare to former superstar Buddy Rose's Blow Away Diet?

"Buddy Rose's Blow Away Diet was simply a fat loss program," Helmsley said after laughing (the diet was nothing more than soap powder and a fan).

Triple-H said that this year he made two resolutions and both summarize his drive that makes him one of Raw's top superstars.

"I want the world title back," he said confidently.

"And to keep doing what I do best."

As we posted yesterday, Paul Heyman was at the SmackDown! tapings yesterday and did appear on camera. We've been told that the appearance was a one shot deal, probably because he lives close to the area.

As of right now, Heyman is still under contract although he is not returning to WWE in any capacity and his appearance last night had nothing to do with the planned ECW PPV.

QUOTE
The following is an excerpt from a good interview with Paul Heyman, conducted by Jon Robinson of Sports.IGN.com:

IGN Sports: Eric Bischoff seems in denial on the DVD about the influence ECW had on the sport. Was that a work for the DVD to spice it up or is that really how he feels?

Paul Heyman: I think honest Eric Bischoff is a work onto himself. I think he works himself into believing his own opinions most of the time. I think Eric Bischoff can deny that the sun is coming out tomorrow, that's just how Eric is. Listen, he has to live with himself. I don't have to live with him. He has to deal with who he is every day of his life and I think that's a tough enough bargain on its own. He has to wake up and be Eric Bischoff tomorrow. Isn't that bad enough?

IGN Sports: But now you guys work under the same umbrella. When you see him at company meetings do you say hi or do you want to spit on him from across the room?

Paul Heyman: We don't have any conflicting things anymore. He doesn't have a company and Ted Turner's unlimited ATM card to throw $250,000 signing bonuses at my wrestlers to leave, and I don't have a company for him to play games with. Eric and I are fine because there's nothing to not get along about anymore.

IGN Sports: The DVD shows the part about Mike Awesome and how he left ECW for WCW. Does that play into the fact that he's not in WWE right now?

Paul Heyman: Mike Awesome came to WWE when WWE purchased WCW, and it was the assessment of many with WWE that he just couldn't cut it. Mike Awesome got over in ECW a very certain way. He was given guys like Spike Dudley, who could take some of the biggest beatings on the face of the planet, and he got over on delivering those beatings to those guys. He couldn't do that in WWE, therefore the formula wouldn't be successful. It's the same thing that happened to Raven when he went to WCW. It's the same thing that happened to Public Enemy. Mike just didn't pan out.

IGN Sports: Were there any angles or matches in ECW that were even too extreme for you?

Paul Heyman: I think the barbed wire match with Terry Funk and Sabu in August 1997, where they got all tangled up in the barbed wire and we had to get wire cutters to actually cut them free, that's about as extreme a match as I've ever seen or would want to see.

IGN Sports: But don't you think that it was these extreme matches that really contributed to the rise of ECW, or was the rise more a testament to the talent you had on your roster?

Paul Heyman: I think it was a testament to the work ethic of the wrestlers on the roster, I think the extreme nature of the matches helped, I think Benoit and Guerrero helped, I think the storylines helped, I think the street credibility helped, and I think the audience helped. We brought the Luchadores into the country. We introduced cruiserweights. We introduced the shoot interview. There were many different things that we brought to the table and they all contributed to the success of the organization.

IGN Sports: Did you have a favorite ECW wrestler to watch?

Paul Heyman: Who can deny that it was a pleasure to watch Rob Van Dam interact with the audience and tear the house down for 30 minutes a night. At the same time, I was a huge fan of Public Enemy. They were going into the stands at a time when no one else was doing that. I was a fan of the Dudley Boyz and the shoot style of Tazz. I was a huge fan of Raven because of the way he redefined how a champion should wrestle. I was a huge fan of Shane Douglas and how he used the microphone during a match. Sabu, Chris Benoit, they are all my favorites. Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Justin Credible, who didn't I like? There are so few people that I didn't like that that list would be a lot shorter.

IGN Sports: What was your favorite ECW match of all time?

Paul Heyman: In some ways it's Terry Funk vs. Raven because it was the last match at Barely Legal and when that match ended we completed our first pay-per-view. We made it. But if I look back at ECW, my favorite match to watch is still Beulah McGillicutty versus Bill Alfonzo. September 20th, 1997, it was five of the most intense minutes I've ever seen. What I like most about it is here were two people who weren't trained wrestlers and they were doing things in the ring that most trained wrestlers don't have the balls or the guts to do. They loved ECW and they loved performing for that audience. In that match they thrived on the audience reaction so much that they put on one of the bloodiest, gutsiest, hardcore and extreme performances in the history of this industry. It blew me away when I was watching it live, and it still holds up over time.

IGN Sports: Do you have a favorite gimmick that you helped create in ECW?

Paul Heyman: I think ECW itself was a gimmick. I think getting the audience to chant ECW was really something. I don't care if you draw 70,000 people in a dome for Wrestlemania, nobody chants WWE. The only time you ever hear anyone chant WCW, it's always followed by the word "sucks". I was on 57th Ave. in New York city and there was a three-car pileup and a bunch of people looked at the car wreck and started chanting ECW. It's become part of the country's lexicon. It's an accepted, acknowledged phrase. For us to have built that from a bingo hall and then extend it out is really something. For us to accomplish that is really my favorite gimmick.

IGN Sports: Do you think if ECW would've kept its network deal, would it still be around today as the number two organization behind WWE?

Paul Heyman: The whole wrestling industry collapsed in 2001. The bubble burst on the industry and WCW and ECW collapsed under the weight of it all. If we were still around today, no I don't think we'd be number two. I think we would mop the floor with WWE simply because of our work ethic and the rabid fan base and how the fans promoted us themselves. I think if we could've survived that year, it would be an entirely different industry today.

In breaking news, it seems that Abyss is done with NWA-TNA. The wrestler's contract expired without a renewal deal, and there was reportedly a big blow-up at yesterday's show, with the company rewriting booking for the Impact tapings.

Abyss said something about receiving a WWE offer and although we cannot confirm the story, it certainly seems likely based on his size.

There remains a good chance that other wrestlers will end up leaving the promotion as well. Johnny Swinger reportedly asked for his release, although Jeff Jarrett has been refusing to allow contracted wrestlers to leave. The Amazing Red and Sonjay Dutt are also nearing the end of their contracts.

The surgery will keep him out of action for three months, which means he will most likely miss Wrestlemania 21. Here is the official statement on Aguilera's injury and surgery from his official site:

"Following the results of a CATSCAN and MRI he has a massive herniated 6/7 disc in his neck which is causing nerve problems resulting in lose of feeling in his left arm and left pec. He also has minor damage to his 5/6 disc which also requires treatment. The surgery is scheduled for January Monday 17th and the doctors have told him he has a 90% chance of full recovery. Please keep Aaron in your prayers at this time and hopefully we’ll have good news to report soon.

Recovery is expected to take three months if he follows doctor’s orders with regards rehab and therapy and he has told me he will and hopes to come back quicker than anyone thought possible because of his desire to return to WWE.

Aaron has asked me to thank everybody at WWE for paying for his surgery and paying him whilst not on the road. A special thank you to Tommy Dreamer as well for all his support. Aaron promises to be back soon and repay everyone’s faith in him."

As reported earlier by PWInsider, New Jack was backstage at RAW, and was scheduled to work a tryout match. For some reason, the match did not happen. Word going around right now is that there’s chance he’ll be working the Smackdown tapings tonight in Orlando, Florida.

If he does work the Smackdown tapings, there’s a possibility for a major backstage incident in one form or another between New Jack and The Dudley Boys. New Jack has been threatening the Dudley Boys for months now. At a Combat Zone Wrestling event in Philadelphia, PA at the ECW Arena he made some very detailed verbal threats towards both Dudley Boys and their families. He also claims that they stole his gimmick, by switching to wearing camouflaged clothing, and using the screeching noise at the beginning of their entrance music, which is very similar to the gunshot screeching in New Jack’s entrance music (“Natural Born Killers”, by Dr. Dre & Ice Cube).

New Jack has said on various occasions that he would “F#$% up” the Dudleys if he ever met them again, and as his track record shows, New Jack is a very violent man.

It is not confirmed that New Jack will in fact be at the Smackdown tapings tonight. However, if he is, it will be interesting to see what, if anything, goes down between him and the Dudleys.

1.Why would the WWE even for 1 second consider New Jack

2.I have a feeling if he went after the Dudleys, they would mess him up pretty good

As a bit of an update on the injury status of Eugene and Lita, it appears both WWE superstars will be requiring surgery to repair their injured knees. It is now known that Eugene ruptured his patella tendon, and Lita torn her ACL

WWE has been eyeing former ECW superstar Super Crazy about coming to the company. Paul Heyman made the initial contact with Crazy when he was still on the creative team and pitched an idea to Vince McMahon that would crown Crazy the Cruiserweight champion and face him off in a feud with The Big Show. However, things came to a halt when Crazy suffered a hand injury a few weeks ago and he has said that he only wants to come to WWE when he is 100% so he can make the biggest impression possible. WWE is still interested and many within the company feel that he would be a huge asset.
