He wont....I he comes back, not only will he be made less of a character..... but he will be shown as an equal to thoers, rather then the monster they portrayed him to be last time.
WWE would be a fool to show him off, when he obviously doesn't want to be there...

You know....Batista is pretty much WWE's new goldberg...In the way they have bult him up anyhow......
Seraphina
Feb 9 2005, 11:35 AM
Key differences...
Batista is in his twenties, and can work a long match without getting tired.
Batista isn't sloppy, stiffing people up all the time.
Batista has demonstrated an ability to put together a good, realistic match. Goldberg was a walking mass of big spots (all of which made him look good, and made his opponent look crap), and no match psychology whatsoever

Batista hasn't shown himself to have even a fraction of Goldberg's ego.
Batista has never said "I'm the best wrestler in the world!"
Subtemperate
Feb 9 2005, 11:38 AM
I never said Batista was goldberg, I said Batista is WWE's goldberg.
I mean.... He has been thrown in matches with the best, so of course he'll look good. And all other matches have been squashes that I can see.
I mean....maven.... RHyno in 3min..... La Resistance.... I can hardly remember many more matches that werent against ex world champions or squashes....
Seraphina
Feb 9 2005, 11:44 AM
Are we complaining about Batista beating the crap out of Maven?

I suppose the biggest difference in how I regard them (and how I view their push) is whether or not it goes to their head....Goldberg started believing his own hype. Hell, he's the guy who told Vince Russo that "If it was a real fight, I'd never lose. Therefore, I don't think I should ever lose."
point of note: This must be before he got into a fight backstage with Chris Jericho and got his ass kicked

If Batista starts doing stuff like that, I imagine I'd lose respect for him too. Hell, I think Goldberg was a far better wrestler than the Big Show, but I like the Big Show more than him because the Big Show doesn't partake in backstage politics.

Do yuo think that maybe that "I am the best ever" was more of tha way he was to be preceived by the public. I mean from all accounts he is best friends with The Rock, Stone COld.... and now he and HHH have mended the bridges and got along.....
if he was so arrogant, and claimed to be the best...I cant see those guys seemingly getting along with him at all....
Seraphina
Feb 9 2005, 11:51 AM
I just remembered another difference. Goldberg's the only guy who ever got over by getting on the mic and going "Blaaaaaaeeerrrggllleeaaarbbble!"
QUOTE

You forget about how he bitched and complained whenever WWE asked him to lose a match. We're talking about a guy who objected to selling a sledgehamer shot from Triple H because it "made him look weak."
....a sledgehammer....
I don't remember a single week going by where there wasn't an article about Goldberg either complaining backstage, or getting into a fight with someone. The guy was a prima donna.

Again....i never said that Goldberg and Batista where the same as far as ability.... I said the way WWE was pushing him.....

Seraphina
Feb 9 2005, 12:03 PM
Perhaps there are...however, if Goldberg's just "one of the many", then why does he have such a bad reputation among other wrestlers?

If his ego was simply a work, then the chances are that other wrestlers would know about it. However, the number of guys who've worked with Goldberg and actually gotten on with him (or found him easy to work with) are dwindly small.
Anyway, we all know what's going on here....you're just doing one of your silly things of arguing with me, and nitpicking what I say to get me all flustered and mad

To add more on the Rock/WWE story, he recently was interviewed by Playboy.com and had the following to say about leaving the company and if there was any tension between himself and Vince McMahon:
"Never. By the time this article comes out, I'll be done with him contractually, but Vince and I are very close. We worked together, my grandfather worked for his dad, and my dad worked for him. He's been as supportive as a dad to me. He knew I loved being in The Mummy Returns. I told him I wanted to break into films with The Scorpion King but that I'd wrestle as well.
I grew up in wrestling. I am proud that my grandfather and dad wrestled. But when I filmed The Scorpion King I worked through the week, and on Sunday I would fly somewhere to do Raw or a pay-per-view. I had no days off, and it almost killed me. I wanted to give 110 percent to acting, and after that I realized I'd have to choose."

Stone Cold became injured, Mick Foley retired..... The other big name from that period was HHH...and now we have him shoved down our throats.....

The suspensions took place effective January 20, 2005, and will apparently remain in effect until the wrestlers comply with the provisions of HB600.
The list of wrestlers who have been suspended includes some of the top names in the business today. Among those listed are Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Torri Wilson, Jerry Lawler, Paul Heyman, Kid Kash, Ron & Don Harris, Lance Storm, Billy Kidman, Heidenreich, Chris Jericho, Ron Killings, and Sable.

Joey Styles Comments On Why He's Not In WWE
Question: Joey, why aren't you working for WWE? Will you at least appear on the WWE/ECW pay-per-view?
Answer: After ECW and WCW ceased operations in early 2001, I was interviewed by and received a full time employment offer from WWE Executive Producer, Kevin Dunn. After making it very clear to me that my ECW experience did not matter to him or WWE because WWE was the "major league" and I would still be a "WWE rookie", I was offered less than half of what I earned as the announcer for "minor league" ECW and less than half of what WCW announcers had been earning as well. I was even told that the fact that WWE no longer had any competition was one of the reasons for the offer.
I politely and professionally made it clear that I did believe my experience with ECW was indeed valuable to WWE and that I was willing to make 20% less than I made with ECW with the hopes that I would prove my worth to WWE and make more after my one year contract expired.
I was told that WWE simply would not pay any announcer the amount I was asking for.
Because I lived five minutes from the WWE TV studio, I offered to keep my full time corporate career and work part time for WWE, hosting their syndicated and international taped TV shows.
I was then told by Kevin Dunn that part time employment with WWE was not an option because "WWE likes to own their talents".
I told Kevin I was sorry we could not come to terms, thanked him for having me in, and even apologized if I had wasted his time which I thought was very humble and polite on my part.
It then came back to me from other WWE employees that Kevin Dunn thought I had a bad attitude and was hard to deal with which made me very angry because I felt that I had been very polite while WWE had been condescending and somewhat heavy handed in dismissing my ECW experience and calling me a rookie.
That is why I do not work for WWE.

Many WWE workers are upset at the disrespect that the writers have shown towards their "craft". They are upset that after only a few weeks, WWE writers tossed Daniel Puder out there in front a live audience with Bob Holly and Puder looked terrible.
At all WWE live events, there is a person in charge of gathering memrobilla from the event, such as broken tables or chairs and then later the things are put up on WWE's website for auction.
WWE fans got a kick out of the Japanese fans this week when they mocked the US fans chant of "asshole".
Batista is being advertised for the April tour of Australia, which could be interpreted as evidence that Batista isn't going to jump to Smackdown. Just because he is advertised for this tour, however, doesn't mean that they may move him to Smackdown and just change the lineup, but it is a pretty safe bet at this time that he will remain on Raw's roster.

Apparently copies of the flyer were made, and passed around backstage as a joke. She was being mocked backstage, JBL was said to have been jokingly calling her a prostitute.
There is a lot of bitterness towards some of the new divas backstage in WWE. They get paid about $1000 per appearance, and they also get free meals, free hotels, free transportation, etc., which the wrestlers do not get. Some of them have been described as disrespectful backstage in WWE, and Amy Weber was one who was not very well liked to begin with.
