Indeed, but thats my opinion nonetheless.

Bruno Sammartino lashes out at the state of wrestling today in an AP story today. Sammartino says he turned down a recent invitation to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame saying, "I've completely divorced myself from the wrestling world. I don't believe in it."
Commenting further, "I would wonder where my principles are if I accepted (the WWE's invitation)," Sammartino said. "Anyway, their hall of fame is a joke."
Sammartino says in the AP story he stopped watching wrestling completely when he saw Stone Cold Steve Austin drinking beer on television.
According to the AP story, Superstar Billy Graham tried unsuccessfully to talk Sammartino into accepting induction to the Hall of Fame. Graham was quoted as saying, "All the wrestling fans want him in, but the hall of fame doesn't mean anything to him."
Agreed, the Hall of Fame is a waste of air-time.

Due to the location, one has to expect numerous Bret Hart rumors to propagate throughout the internet, although there have been no major talks between Hart and WWE in quite a while.
Additionally, if WWE's plans for the June ECW PPV are still a lock, the show will obviously feature a lot of promotion for the big 'One Night Stand PPV.' The Calgary RAW will be the next to last RAW telecast before the big ECW show on June 12.
Joe Dorgan, known as Johnny Swinger from TNA, has signed a WWE deal.
He was originally released from TNA several weeks ago and signed with WWE last week

wait a minute bradshaw is the world champ right now?????
Course. For over half-a-year. Defeated everyone from Undertaker to Booker T to Eddie. Made everyone else look really really weak.......... and for a wrestler with no talent that doesn't make the overall show look good.

Honestly, I wish Bradshaw would loose the title tonight to Bigshow. BUT alas, I dont think Vince will let it happen. Hes held the title too long in my opinion. Just like HHH, he needs to loose it again, but being married to the bosses daughter aparently has its perks.
Now, heres something you guys might get a kick out of, some Mug-shots. These guys have been bad boys!!

Brock- Found with pills that were thought to be steroids. Charges dismissed, pills wernt steroids.
Austin- Domestic assault charges on his now ex-wife Deborah.
Mr. Ass- Arrested for "dissolution of marriage"

I have no idea what that is.

No HHH is, thats why people hate HHH because they think he gets everything because he married the boses daughter.
As for Bradshaw nobody knows why he got everything

I see your point Talon. In the WWE its "Who's buying who??"
Do you think Batista will go to Smackdown?? I personally hope not, Id love to see him kick HHH's butt. But whare HHH is the princeses hubby, I doubt we'll see it happen.

Batista will win at wrestlemania, Shelton kicked HHH's butt so I can see HHH putting Batista over.
Talon

Batista'll stay at Raw, but he'll probably wipe Bradshaw out on a Smackdown match sometime down the line, probably the same time HHH screws him over openly.

Yeah, I guess Randy Orton forgot Batista was part of the attack, and has cost him matches, and fought on numerous occasions. The WWE has the notorious problem with ignoring it's past.

So do people. A lot of the time we automatically go with the 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' attitude. I know tons of people on this site I've had arguements with, but instantly forget about that when we find ourselves both defending evolution against some religious nutter.

It's the old "One good deed redeems the bad guy" thing, like in many movies....
Like where a bad guy has been bad all his life, and then with his last act saves someone...and then the hero feels sad for his death.....

What I do find scary....is that if WWE had never split the roster..... then how much less of the cruiserweights would we get..... They probably never would have even made a division....
Talon
Feb 21 2005, 02:01 AM
The Cruiserwights always seem to be on Velocety now anyway though
Subtemperate
Feb 21 2005, 02:07 AM
yes, but take the one cruiserweight match a week off smackdown and put the to velocity, then the other cruiserweight match would be the one to go..... meaning less crusierwight matches, and less crusierweights....
AtticusBlueprint
Feb 21 2005, 02:13 AM
I was actaully pretty disgusted when the divas came out during the cruiserweight match, it shows how the WWE doesn't care about them. But I've heard that Paul London is line for a push which is good I guess.
Talon
Feb 21 2005, 02:30 AM
Indeed, I hated that as well.
Well Paul just destroyed all his openents in that championship match, and lost by Chavo cheating. So it'll probably be Chavo vs Paul at Wrestlemania.
And I really really hate this Diva talent contest they keep interupting NWO with. If I wanted to see a grown woman humilate herself by telling unfunny jokes then running around the ring screaming I'd watch..... actually I don't know what I would watch, cause no one other than Vince would beleive that would sell enough to put it on tv.

Its the Playboy market Vince is trying to cash into at the expense of wrestling. However, as th WWE is tame compared to Playboy their not interested. He's lossing the market he should be appealing to in a vane attempt to access another.
My God Vince! Its World WRESTLING Entertainment! Watched by people who like WRESTLING! So show us some WRESTLERS!

I still think some wrestlers need a good women manager(thats why I liked Amy so much), but it's just getting out of hand
Talon
Feb 21 2005, 02:55 AM
The problem is that Vince wont use them as managers or valays, he gives them air time totally independent of the wrestlers. The man has no idea what he's doing.
And my god has No Way Out sucked so far. 2 hours in and only 2 matches worth watching, and I've seen better on Smackdown.

Feb 21 2005, 04:08 AM
I thought the cage match absolutely sucked myself...neither of them seemed to have any idea what they were doing for most of it, and just seemed to aimlessly slap each other, and bounce their heads off the wall rather than make any attempt at having an entertaining match.
Part of it was, of course, they were following a Kurt Angle match...the Big Show and Bradshaw can't follow a Kurt Angle match...

Feb 21 2005, 04:14 AM
What's the point? The main event at Wrestlemania used to be a big deal, now there's like, five of them, and it really doesn't mean much anymore. Bah, the brand extension blows.
