Yes..... And where is Snuffy/Sub Wrestling Alliance when you need it.... crying.gif
snuffypuffer
When that lottery ticket pans out, we'll get it going, we'll get it going.... yes.gif
Seraphina
Can I get in on that? tongue.gif I'm fluent on the microphone, and might actually serve a purpose, as opposed to the uber-slut divas of the WWE, who have about as much to do with wrestling, as Dick Cheney's sphincter muscle tongue.gif
Subtemperate
Do you even need to ask?? wink2.gif
snuffypuffer
Sera=Ratings. We'll be offering you a contract fortwith wink2.gif
Talon
Sera spent most of the PPV writing commentary of the events... seems a waste she didn't post them.
Subtemperate
Im sure she will..... And Im very glad I didnt have the money to waste for this PPV....

And on a side note WWE just signed Johnny Swinger (i thnk) from TNA.....anyone know much about him?
snuffypuffer
He's a jobber, basically. Nothing incredibly special from what I've seen.
Subtemperate
Well, if he wasnt one....He will be now....
snuffypuffer
laugh.gif maybe what they were looking for is a super mega über jobber, and somehow, he fits the bill. Yet Johnny Swinger is still not even that special.
Subtemperate
So....Mikey Whipwreck has retired, they need to find someone else huh...lol
AtticusBlueprint
What about Frankie Kazarian, he left TNA, and I thought he was in talks with the WWE, I've heard he's very talented
Subtemperate
Yeah, according to him he is in talks with WWE, and he states they are interested...... I dont know him (I havent watched TNA forever)

-- While Cole certainly implied Batista vs. Cena vs. JBL for No Way Out, the plan as of last night was still for Batista vs. HHH.

-- In a moment that really spoke volumes about the effectiveness of WWE's decision to hire 'eye candy,' Torrie Wilson forgot Rochelle Loewen's name and referred to her as 'Rorchelle Lauren' during the final Rookie Diva segment.

-- As if there were any doubt, the ring spot during JBL vs. Big Show was planned and had an integral role in the match's conclusion.

I think he actually means 'Batista vs. Cena vs. JBL for WM21'
Subtemperate
Obviously Batista will stay on Raw...... Because Smackdown already have started building up Cena....and if Batista changed over to smackdown, then Raw's title would have zero build up before the biggest PPV of the year......

I do enjoy what they are doing, but in the end its quite obvious he will stay on Raw..... If not, its a huge mistake.... like JBL holding the title....
Talon
Cena HAS to take the title from JBL. If he doesn't who will? Plus it would kill his new push to main event to lose it. Also, can you imagine how popular Cena would be if he was the man to take the title from the most un-over champion of all time?

All that sucks is that Cena beats him, while men like Eddie and Booker didn't.
Subtemperate
Cena will win the title at Wrestlemania, that I don't doubt...... The only thing Im interested to see is what they do with the US belt...
Talon
Mordici will probably come back and win it sad.gif
Subtemperate
lol.... Mordecai vs Heidenrich for the US title...... *cough*
snuffypuffer
Batista is staying on RAW. Triple H set up the whole JBL thing, I guess we all sort of saw that coming, though. Anyhow, the whole thing was pretty anticlimactic.
Subtemperate
WWE....Anticlimactic.....Thats never happened before....lol
The Book Man
well if mordici actually learned how to wrestle i would be nice to see him to come back because i liked his gimmic but his wrestling wasalmost disturbing
Seraphina
*hates Mordeki with a vengeance*

Little known fact - Mordeki's gimmick was stolen from my trainer, Conscience, when he went over to OVW for a tryout. Concience is a very solid, very experienced worker, who's the top heel in SCW (Scottish Championship Wrestling). For whatever reason, he and OVW didn't come to an agreement.

After sending him on his way though, they did see fit to steal his gimmick...white cloak, white boiler suit type ring wear, white leather bible...everything...and give it to a no talent rookie to try and get him over. There are few words to describe how pissed Conscience was about that tongue.gif
The Book Man
any idea what new ppv this is going to be

Is that the ECW PPV thats rumoured?
Seraphina
You know, I don't see how they could do an ECW brand...there's such a horrible talent deficet that I don't see how the WWE has the bodies to spare. Although it certainly would be nice to see some of the underused people (RVD to name but one) get a decent spotlight before it's too late, would the current shows really be worth watching if they donated some of their talent to a new show? huh.gif
Subtemperate
I beleive they are doing a once off ECW ppv, and that they will be contacting talent from ECW for a once off match at the PPV. I beleive Lance Storm said a couple of months ago he would be back in the ring for it...but he wanted to wrestle RVD...which cant happen now....

-- WWE creative team member Bruce Prichard is once again on hiatus from the SmackDown! team. He is away dealing with personal issues.

-- WWE has formally released Barry Werner, the man behind WWE's magazines. Werner had a strong publishing background and was paid rather well by WWE, which likely implies money was a factor in the decision to let him go. For the time being, Shane McMahon will assume Werner's duties with assistance from his right-hand man Jim Monsees. Everyone in the magazine department will report to the duo.

-- According to Jimmy Hart on recent media rounds, Hulk Hogan still has yet to decide whether he will accept WWE’s offer to appear at WrestleMania.

-- The Chicago Sun is reporting that there will be an inter-promotional match added to WrestleMania between Randy Orton and The Undertaker. It is known that Taker wants to put on a good match as this may very well be his last WrestleMania, so putting him in the ring with someone like Randy Orton would make sense. However, this is absolutely not confirmed and should be taken with a grain of salt.

-- At this point, WWE is still planning to run a post-WrestleMania roster change (possibly a draft) of some sorts. There have been different rumors going around as to the specifics on how WWE will mix up the rosters after WrestleMania, but some sort of switch is definitely expected.

-- WWE continues to have no real interest in Jeff Hardy.

-- Various sources are still under the impression that former ECW stars will be contacted to work June's ECW PPV. Specific names have not yet been revealed.

Although HHH has been helping his wife running WWE shows in Vince McMahon's absence, he was unable to attend No Way Out last night as he was working a RAW brand house show in Erie, PA.

Many WWE employees have echoed the general consensus on last night's PPV saying it was no better than "fair". Only one person described it as being anything beyond that.

As with Taboo Tuesday, you could vote as many times as you wanted in the "SmackDown! Rookie Diva Challenge" on WWE.com.

Dean Malenko reportedly has heat with the cruiserweights, who don't believe he has been truthful with them. One complaint we've heard is that when someone pitches an idea to him, he presents it to management as if it was his idea. Malenko is also said to be pitching a reformation of the 4 Horsemen for Wrestlemania, with the group including Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit, and Dean Malenko. Malenko has reportedly claimed that those four men made up the most popular version of the Horsemen. Malenko is also said to be pitching the idea that he should come out of retirement for one match at the ECW pay-per-view.

If that scenario were to happen, then it would require Taker to loose...having his typical squash match would absolutely kill Randy's heat. If Taker were to go out, then it would be a huge lift to Randy to be the only person ever to beat him at Mania....potential to be a great angle, just I dunno if Taker would put Randy over or not.

Yeah...with the exception of Kurt's match, which was an absolute stonker, the show wasn't really that great. The cruierweight match had some nice spots in it, but they had so little time it all came over as extremely rushed.

Frankie Kazarian, former TNA star, will be attending tonight's SmackDown! taping as he is in Philadelphia, PA. Kazarian was booked for RAW on Monday but flight issues prevented him from attending. Kazarian is likely to work a dark match tonight so WWE management can assess him.

The following is a quote from the Rock listed in the New York Daily News this week and regards to the status of his contract:

"I wasn't contacted or notified or anything like that," said Rock. "It wasn't until my own team had basically congratulated me - 'Oh my God, what a wonderful career you've had. Congratulations!' - that [I realized it]. I wish it would have went down a little bit differently, and that part I am sad about."

The article goes on to mention how WWE mistakenly let the Rock's contract end and how Vince McMahon is going to fix the situation at the earliest oppurtunity. It also mentions how WWE "dropped the ball" and McMahon's apology to Rock.

The Rock has made no bones about being upset with the whole situation and has always expressed a desire to remain with the company in some capacity. That being said, there is still a possibility that we will see the Rock appear at WrestleMania 21 given that both sides seemingly want to resolve the issue.

But it was also the start of a new addiction for the Latino star - an obsession with his work.

All wrestling champions experience the stress of being their promotion's leading light, with everyone looking to them to deliver big crowds and PPV buy rates.

But Eddie, 37, said he didn't just feel that pressure, he was consumed by it.

In an exclusive interview he revealed: "It's a great responsibility being champion, as you're the one carrying the ball, and I found it very difficult.

"It was the first time I'd held the title and I don't think I was ready.

"I was ready to win the belt, but not for what lay ahead of me.

"I wasn't prepared mentally for what happens outside the ring - because I think that's where the real challenges lie.

"I was taking things like attendances and ratings very personally.

"I'm an extremist and that's one thing I'd like to change in my life.

"It's good to be hard on myself but not to the point where I beat myself up about things.

"And if I'm honest and look back at my mistakes then I was too hard on myself when I was carrying the title.

"I let things eat me up inside and I questioned myself when I shouldn't have.

"But it's a lesson learned and I won't make that mistake again."

The WWE originally planned a long title reign for Eddie.

With huge crowd support - especially from wrestling's growing Hispanic fan base - Guerrero was the perfect choice to be Smackdown's new figurehead.

But after his problems coping with being champion, and with WWE boss Vince McMahon wanting to change direction, Eddie dropped the gold to John Bradshaw Layfield after four and a half months.

Previously a mid-card tag team star, Bradshaw was a controversial choice to win the title.

But Eddie feels the man who beat him for the belt has proved all his critics wrong.

"I've got to give a lot of perks to JBL," he told us.

"Of course I was disappointed to drop the title, how could I not be?

"The WWE championship was everything I'd worked for and it was heartbreaking for me to lose it.

"But JBL was great in our matches and he's really stepped up to the plate as champion.

"A lot of people doubted him, although I never did, and I think he's made them eat their words.

"JBL's the WWE champion for a reason. He's not there because he's anybody's friend, but because he's working hard and continues to do a great job."

Exert from the sun newspaper in th UK...Interview with eddie....
Talon
Someone told him to say those words.
Subtemperate
If so, then I lose a lot of respect I had for Eddie....
Talon
I don't, its his job or reading a pre-written statement by Vince.

Most people would ick their job. Especially if they have a family to support or in the job they love.
Subtemperate
So.... Your saying Eddie would tell false opinions to his fans, whereas others such as Jericho, RVD and Kurt Angle don't..... because he wants to keep his job, and the others don't...?

Hell, Batista even spoke saying he thought smackdown wrestlers didnt look interested in being there (which is putting a bad light on an entire show) yet.... Eddie saying that he doesn't think bradshaw is a good champion would somehow find himself....fired?
Seraphina
Eddie is right in one regard....Bradshaw's perforamces in the ring have increased tremendously since he won the title....but that doesn't make him good. Nowadays, I could see him being a legitimate contender maybe in the upper end of the midcard....but not the champion.

Making him the champion when they did was crazy....they took a guy who wasn't over the slightest, and had already had many a failed singles push, and leapt him straight from having never held singles gold (he might have been hardcore champion for all of three minutes) to being the world champion...the fans didn't accept it, and I'm not surprised.

To blame Eddie for the fact that ratings and buyrates started to suck is crazy...
Subtemperate
I dont think it says that they blamed him Sera, if you read his interview he says he blamed himself..... and took it personally....
Talon
You can't compare those without knowing the situation behind those various interviews.
Subtemperate
So I cant compare opinions given to the public, but you can assume to know Eddies opinions?
Talon
I never said I knew Eddie's opinions.
Subtemperate
Well, you did state that what he said wasn't Eddies opinion by stating that he was obviously made to say that......

If you know thats not what he thinks, that would indicate you do know what he thinks.....
Talon
I didn't say it was 'he was obviously made to say that'. I said 'Someone told him to say those words', which is an assumption or guess that we ran with.
Subtemperate
Well, when your interviewed and someone asks you a question..... you are supposed to answer them......

Him saying it, and being "made to say it" are completely different things...
Talon
Indeed. I'm just saying that it sounds like something other people said a while ago and turned out to have been told to about the brand split Although I admit I can't remember who that was.

I'm not trying to start a philosophical debate over whether he beleives it or not, or that those others did, or even if one case would mean the same for the other. Just that it wouldn't surprise me, particularly when its been reported he resented loosing the belt to Bradshaw. Alternatively, he could be saying it to save SD face.
