Well it sounds like Brock carried himself well, when he's not bashing wrestling and not ignoring signing people autographs because there wrestling memorabilia, he seems like a nice guy

Actually what they should do is get a foreign stereotype, but do everything the exact opposite of the steryotype, I wonder if that will get over

-- The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee has issued a complaint regarding WWE's portrayal of Muhammad Hassan and Hassan Daivari. The allegations include:
*WWE is depicting two non-Arab Americans as Arab Americans. Additionally, WWE misleads fans into believing Daivari is speaking Arabic, when he is actually speaking Farsi.
*The USA chants prove WWE's angle has resulted in a negative image about the American loyalty of Arabs living in the country.
*WWE is undermining the seriousness of the anti-Arab American racism in the country, which has a negative impact on the younger fans.
*WWE's angle will ultimately spawn more racism.

Umm, since most people actually seem to like Hassan and Daivari, I don't think the angle is going to spawn more racism. And, if they're not Arab-Americans, what are they? Just Americans? Shouldn't that be what they are in the first place? What am I getting wrong?

Snuffy, I agree....
The crowd chant USA whenever anyone says anything negative about the country, its not race specific....
Next the french people will complain about Renee Dupree, considering hes not actually french......

I do think, and still do think, that the gimmick does have the potential to inflame an already volatile situation mind...if it was over here, we'd already have muslim aslylum seekers protesting in the streets about it, just like they do when we try and celebrate christmas, and then have the government imposing a ban on the WWE until it changes the gimmick...
....
Sorry, bitter moment

When can we see Batista vs Brock? They have similar tattos and physique. I bet they will fight one day.
Seraphina
Mar 1 2005, 08:17 AM
Probably never - Brock's return to the WWE seems extremely unlikely at this point...besides, if Brock were to come back, I wouldn't want him stepping into the main event scene straight away anyway, after the way he treated the industry, and the fans, upon his departure.
I also don't think it would be a very good match...one of Brock's great strengths was the fact that he was so much larger than his opponent, and could do a lot of impressive moves...or, given an opponent that could really wrestle him, like Kurt or Eddie, he could put on a good wrestling match too...Batista, who's not a good wrestler, and is a little too big to be thrown around the ring like a pillow, would really limit the match's potential, beyond two big guys hitting each other.
Subtemperate
Mar 1 2005, 08:23 AM
If Brock comes back Im sure these two would have a match......
I somewhat agree that the match would be different, quite like the Goldberg/Brock match at mania last year...... SO maybe not as entertaining as possible...
Seraphina
Mar 1 2005, 08:26 AM
In fairness, the Goldberg Brock match was lame because of three reasons...
1 - Goldberg sucks, and unlike Chris Jericho, Brock isn't quite good enough to carry him to a good match.
2 - Brock was demorolised as it was thanks to the reception he got from the crowd, and really didn't put in any effort whatsoever.
3 - The way they went about it just didn't suit the fued...given the way it had been built, they should have just torn into each other, not go through that lame "test of strength" cliche. If Brock had been in a better mood, I imagine he would have done.

Mar 1 2005, 09:10 AM
Yes, the Ultimate Warrior could breath....if he was standing still, had just recieved several hours rest, and hadn't shot up in a while

Let's face it, he got tired running to the ring, let alone during his match

Mar 1 2005, 09:34 AM
Oh, there were a lot of fans who did know, s'true. But that was back in the day when wrestlers were required to promote the idea that wrestling wasn't a work at all times. Keyfabe just didn't exist back then...so a lot of fans just didn't pick up on it.
