dang benoit got a pretty nice briuse and some stiches from that bad headbutt on tomko
AtticusBlueprint
Yeah that was a good match, I liked Kane coming out at the end and taking everyone out. Also Kanes backstage segment with Randy Orton was very good, so the Orton/Taker feud got a little more interesting thanks to him.

There is talk going around the WWE that Al Snow will compete on the ECW "One Night Only" PPV that the company is producing in June.

For those who don't recall, Al Snow spent a decent amount of time in ECW before returning to the WWE several years ago. In fact, it was in ECW where the whole "head" gimmick was first started.

Snow hasn't wrestled as an active competitor in the WWE since he joined forces with his former Sunday Night Heat partner The Coach to feud with Jim Ross & Jerry "The King" Lawler back in 2003.

Why oh why did they book that...*thinks it would have been far better to simply have a match between Al Snow and The King, and at most have the Coach and JR as managers*
Subtemperate
That would just of made too much sense .....lol

There have been rumors going around about a 30-man battle royal at Sunday's WrestleMania 21 PPV. Hurricane virtually confirmed the rumor by telling fans at this week's pre-show festival of WWE's plans to run the match. Maven also promoted the Battle Royal when speaking to fans at a Los Angeles middle school.

According to WrestlingObserver.com, WWE is still debating between running the match on PPV or Heat. There is also still no word on which superstars will be in the match and what the winner will receive.
Shadowsleet
Ah, that'll be the match for anyone they can't think of a place on the card for, and will probably be used to put over someone like Tyson Tomco or Heidenreich tongue.gif
The Book Man
what snow wrestled tajiri last year pretending to be a ninja before coaches match against tajiri at som e ppv
AztecInca
Battle royal eh!?!?!? I love those and I really dont care who`s in it as long as its on!
Subtemperate
You can get away with having no talent jobers in a battle royal, because your attention doesnt have tp focus on them........

Problem is they tend to put these on with the good wrestlers, and then have bad ones have singles matches....

It seems like people are cut right down the middle on the eddie vs ray match.

Eddie Guerrero 49.99 %
Rey Mysterio 50.00 %

Total Votes: 125636

Now i have no idea where the other 0.01% went to.

Ric Flair spoke with The Ottawa Sun about a number of interesting topics.

-- On Being Ric Flair:
"For about 20 years of my life, Ric Flair was the same inside and outside of the ring. I lived that life. I loved that life. Every day. I couldn't get enough. I think I'm wrestling's Jesse James. About half the stories you hear are probably true. I had fun. There were no drugs, nothing illegal. I just wanted to be part of the party."

-- On A New Four Horsemen:
"It would have to be Kurt Angle, Hunter (Triple H), Shawn Michaels and myself. The four best talkers they have."

-- On Bret Hart:
"Bret Hart never drew a dime," says Flair. "He's taken the opportunity to knock everyone. But how can you knock a business that's made you $7 million? Bret's got a cult following, but he's losing that. Losing that because he just goes on and on. It's funny (that he knocks me) because I'm the only guy that would put him over. "

-- On Hulk Hogan:
I always said the difference between me and Hogan was I said yes and he said no. (Hogan wouldn't put anybody over). I'll concede the fact that Hogan was a bigger star than me. But in terms of overall product, he'd wrestle a five-minute match and be back at the hotel by 9. I'd wrestle for an hour ... and I'd give it everything I had."

Err, Hunter is NOT one of their best talkers, he always reaching for metaphorses to say the same thing over and over again when trying to put together an overly long promo he's simply doesnt have the ability to do.

Flair is losing his perspective, by using the criteria of "best talker" that means Foley would also qualify thumbsup.gif

The more these two guys talk about each other, the more they make themselves to look like fools sad.gif sad.gif

Personally, I think Y2J is better on the mic then HHH
Mervyn
Without a doubt. frankly Y2J is better than all he listed imo. INCLUDING flair
AtticusBlueprint
It's a close call between him and Kurt, but yeah he is better then HBK and Ric...you could also put Eddie G up there or even John Cena.
wunarmdscissor
didnt any of you watch wrestlemania?

personally i htink the two main events were dissapointing.

Kurt angle vs Shawn Michaels and the Taker's matches were the best. imho
Subtemperate
Of course some of us did.....

I enjoyed most of the card, but they didnt seem to take up the time that they could of......

Batista vs HHH was ok, the other one was the worst match on the card (besides the womens match i suppose)..... Cena has very little offense, and just watching him win sometimes makes me sad.....

Undertaker match was pretty reasonable..... The ladder match was alright, eddie vs rey should have gone longer, and had a better build up to a finish, but I gather they were time restricted....
Frogs
I don't really agree with Flair's other 2 comments. But I gotta pretty much agree with what he said about Hogan.
The Book Man
trppers wm entrance was great but it was too good for him to lose

I liked HHH's entrance, except for the music.....

You could tell the guy that was singing that song had a couple of drinks before that preformance. Hell i bet he didn't even 20 words in his drunken stuper
Subtemperate
Yeah....when he said the band name at the end, I was thinking....thats not a great career move....lol
Seraphina
Bah, Motorhead always sound like that...although he definately did sound a lot more slurred than usual...the lead singer just seems to have smoked his vocal cords into submission.
Subtemperate
They were so drunk, the music slurred..... huh.gif

Was Wrestlemania actually so uneventful that there is this little to talk about? I haven't seen it of course 'cause we don't get it here but that is exactly the reason why I was looking forward to some kind of talk about it.
Personally Cena doesn't interest me much as the wwe champ but hey, at least it's not Bradshaw. And I don't know why but for some reason I can't really seem to care about Triple H and Batista. It's probably because I'm guessing that now Triple H will be wanting his title back AGAIN and he'll get it back in a matter of months. At least there is no more Evolution. Evolution had been pretty much the only storyline on Raw in years.

Actually, I thought Mania was a pretty solid show, and all of the matches (except JBL as Cena) were very entertaining....it didn't really have that Wrestlemania feel to it though...but it was still a pretty good show.

QUOTE

I agree....I still don't think Cena's ready, but I'd rather have an over rookie as champion than Bradshaw.
Subtemperate
I always find its easier to have a heel with no offense then it is to have a face. A heel can spend an entire match having the crap kicked out of him, and cheat to win.... and retain heat... but a face will struggle to be a champion, if they only ever win with a quick flurry of moves.....

Thats my opinion anyway....
Seraphina
AH, but that's the beauty of it wink2.gif a face has to be seen to be a hero...to overcome odds in order to win, rather than simply riding roughshod over his opponent.
Subtemperate
Exactly...but Cena's in ring ability doesnt come off as someone overcoming the odds, its more like someone getting a weak win every week...... SO for a face, I dont know how well that will go down...
Seraphina
I don't know about that...most of Cena's matches seem to involve him getting clobbered, in a typical facesque manner huh.gif His match with Bradshaw was definately like that.
Subtemperate
Most matches, even with the face being clobbered, have a bit of back and forth action in the ring. Cena's moves that he hits are bland, and not to mention he only has about 5 moves in his rep, including his finisher.... and his 5 knuckle shuffle....

SportsBusinessJournal.com reports SFX SIGNS HULK HOGAN: SFX has signed HULK HOGAN for representation in marketing and is looking to sign deals with U.S. companies interested in featuring the wrestler in commercials.

Captain's comments - Oh great. Now we have to deal with Hogan's acting again.

How do they expect Hogan to work in marketing? huh.gif He's never sold anything in his life tongue.gif
Subtemperate
lol

Obviously by his movie career he wasn't good at selling tickets either....
Eskimo
If I recall correctly Cena used to have some variety in his moves. It's just that lately he's been pulling off nothing but his signaures. I thought the bomb JBL used to destroy the US title was funny laugh.gif
Mervyn
Cena has become , simply put . The Rock all over again ( but not as entertaining in the ring ) Heck, his latest promo on SD sounded rock like to me

He IS certainly capable of doing much more in the ring, but he's not allowed too, they want him to stick to the gimmicky crap he does now.

For the Record, I think the 5 knuckle shuffle sucks, the only move I hate more is the worm, and the FU sucks big time.

As for Heels , they SHOULD have a limited repetoire , this is part of what makes them a heel , they brag on how good they are, how they are the best, but they can't do as much stuff as a face, so they have to cheat and be cowardly thus creating heat as they steal from the faces who should always appear to be better in the ring.

This is why I like Christian as a Heel, he does that role to a perfection.

But still its the face who should take more damage, because nothing says courage, heroism, and all the sappys good guy stuff than coming back from all odds to still pull out a victory.

This doesnt and shouldnt mean they just come back with a few moves and win , it has in the past, but I prefer a wrestler who shows some skills.

In an effort to help elevate the upcoming ECW "One Night Only" PPV, as well as the cruiserweight division, the WWE signed a three year deal with former ECW TV Champion Super Crazy last week, according to an article in Box y Lucha that is available in Mexico.

Crazy has been an interest to the WWE for some time now, and the only downside to signing with the company for Crazy will be that he won't be able to spend as much time in Mexico like he has in the past.

With the signing of Crazy, one can only assume that we'll see a three-way dance at the ECW PPV between Crazy, Tajiri, and Nunzio. These three men have had numerous wars in ECW, all of which have produced outstanding matches.

Very very cool original.gif
Mervyn
I want to believe they'll finally do something with the cruisers ... I really do . . .
AtticusBlueprint
Paul London
Akio
Billy Kidman
Chavo Guerrero
Funaki
Nunzio
Shannon Moore
Tajiri
The Hurricane

and now maybe Super Crazy, Psicosis, Kazarian, and Juvi

I say, thats a mighty fine list of cruisers, I cant see why the WWE doesn't use this division too it's full potential

Paul London injured his knee at the Melbourne house show event. It looked legit at first then looked like a work but the match ended abruptly with a backslide after Spike attempted the Dudley Dog. Its very unfortunate since Paul London is the current cruiserweight champion. Hopefully some positive news comes out for him in the next few days.

Really blink.gif I thought it was Chavo. Shows how much they're promoting the devision doesn't it.
Subtemperate
Yes, but have you been watching smackdown lately?
Talon
only the highlight shows. They don't seem to show SD over here any more
Subtemperate
Well, on smackdown this week he defended it against kidman, and the last couple of weeks hes defended it on the show....Its just it took a backseat because they decided not to have it at wrestlemania that the highlight shows would have avoided it as such......

Chavo being injured didn't help things either....

Stemming from the incident at the Sheraton Hotel during WrestleMania weekend, Rhyno appears to have been officially released by WWE. WWE reportedly informed Rhyno of the decision this afternoon, confirming speculation that the incident might escalate to the most drastic form of punishment.

Rhyno had already been removed from the road as a result of his actions.

At this point, it is not known if Rhyno will be removed from the 6/12 ECW PPV. WWE has already contracted many outside names to work the show, so it's possible Rhyno will still work the show.
