no idea, rarely watched it. But its dead, its the WWE's cruiserwight devision which matters
QUOTE
How could it not? It consisted of Kidman, Rey, Juventud, Eddie, Psychosis, Chris Hericho (at one point) and a few others like Dean Malenko.....
Well Juventud and Psychosis signed to the WWE, so maybe the WWE might actually use a WCW like cruiserweight division...

I would think that they should be if used correctly..... I mean Nitro from memory didnt have the best cruiserweight action, but the PPV's were very good. If WWE went down that road at least wed have something...

I doubt they will with these guys, only because they are names that some will recognise or remember..... Like Rey or Kidman.... They will probbably get there start on smackdown (i would think) and if things are going bad... then back to velocity...
But then again, they have killed the division before...

WWE interest in signing free agents will most likely be stronger if TNA gets a national TV deal. However, if TNA’s deal seems to be faltering, they may save the money and wait to sign high profile talent from TNA.
-- TNA continues to build their good reputation for paying talent, by paying their wrestlers for the May 31 TV tapings, despite the fact that the show was cancelled. TNA wrestlers who are under contract were recently called by Scott D’Amore or another staff member to inform them of the good news.
-- The current plan for TNA’s first Monday night TV show, is to have former WWE producer David Sahadi, who quit WWE a while back, make a bunch of 45 second highlight videos to make new viewers familiar with TNA’s main stars.

The 2005 WWE Draft Lottery
The 2005 WWE Draft Lottery has kicked off in a major way, as the WWE Champion John Cena was the first Superstar selected. As a result, Cena is now a member of the RAW roster. Use the below scorecard to follow the month-long Draft Lottery:
June 6: RAW selects John Cena
June 9: SmackDown! selects TBD
June 13: RAW selects TBD
June 16: SmackDown! selects TBD
June 20: RAW selects TBD
June 23: SmackDown! selects TBD
June 27: RAW selects TBD (two picks)
June 30: SmackDown! selects TBD (two picks)
Keep in mind that all picks will be drawn at random. RAW will draw from the SmackDown! roster. SmackDown! will draw from the RAW roster.
All RAW & SmackDown! Superstars can be drafted, including Champions, Divas, announcers and general managers. Everyone is eligible to be drafted.
General Managers are allowed to trade until Midnight on June 30th.

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
-- Sean Conaway was Stephanie McMahon’s favorite member of the WWE creative team. He has a reputation for befriending wrestlers, just to figure out what their real opinions of WWE management are, then ratting them out to Stephanie.
Conaway, along with a few other production assistants, were in the same bar that Orlando Jordan and JBL happened to be in after a show one night. JBL and Jordan decided to get some revenge on Conaway, and challenged him to a drinking contest, which lead to much more. Conaway lost the contest and began to walk away, however Jordan told him he couldn’t quit, so he kept on drinking.
Conaway passed out in his room, and Orlando Jordan went in and ordered gay pornography on his room bill without him knowing. Conaway, who was still passed out, ended up completely missing his flight for RAW that night.
Conaway ended up lying to Stephanie McMahon about it, telling her that he was detained by airport security, and that was what caused him to miss the flight. She understood, and there were no issues.
The next night at the Smackdown tapings, JBL and Jordan told other wrestlers the negative stories about Conaway from that Sunday night. Not only did they tell the wrestlers, but they also interrupted the production meeting before Smackdown, which was attended by Vince and Stephanie McMahon, to tell the story about what happened.
As a result, Stephanie McMahon found out that Conaway had completely lied to her about why he missed raw, and needless to say, is furious. On top of that, now management knows about the other negative stories, and has probably gotten word about those extra expenses on his hotel bill as well.

According to a document filed on May 31 in the United States District Court of Connecticut, the legal teams representing both World Wrestling Entertainment and Brock Lesnar met to plan out the "next phase" of Lesnar's current lawsuit against WWE. Lesnar is currently petitioning for a judgment by the court with WWE fighting it, allowing for the door to become open for an expected discovery period.
The meeting between both paries allowed the parameters of Lesnar vs. WWE to be presented. Lesnar's attorneys have asked that the court make a summary judgment on the case based on their filing in May and do not want any pleadings amended or any discovery periods to take place on their end, allowing them to wait for the court to render a decision. So, at this point, Lesnar's people are hoping that the court will make the decision to side with them and if any issues are not met to their satisfaction then they will move forward with the remaining key points of their case against WWE. It would be wise of them at this point to get the issue handled quietly and as swiftly as possible.
When this took place, WWE moved to block a summary judgment, noting strongly that there has been no discovery period performed by either party and petitioned that "because there are numerous material factual issues raised in the pleadings, this case is not ripe for summary judgment." The goal of WWE at this point is to push the case to a trial where they will have a legitimate shot at shooting down Lesnar's claims while defending what they stood by in their response. Both parties have made it clear that a settlement is unlikely between the two.
WWE's discovery period started on June 1 and is scheduled to end in September. WWE informed the court that they will be handling an International discovery in regards to Lesnar's "alleged" negotiations with New Japan Pro Wrestling and his appearance for the promotion earlier this year in January. WWE has also requested that they have until July 15 to add additional parties or amend their pleadings in the case that they uncover new facts that may prove to be beneficial to their defense of the lawsuit. The scheduled ending in September could be extended as well if that becomes the case. The gist of the focus in WWE's discovery period will focus on the circumstands regarding the two sides coming to a settlement agreement back in March of 2004 that Lesnar signed and what all of the specifics truly are. It should also be noted that both sides do not expect to file more than 25 interrogatories, which are a set of written questions proposed by one side that are required to be answered by the other in order to clarify matters of evidence and help to determine in advance what facts will be presented during the trial.

This week's WWE RAW rating scored a 3.7 final number, up from last week's 3.6. The show peaked at 4.2 for the ECW invasion angle during the overrun. The "TV main-event match" Chris Benoit vs. Gene Snitsky drew a small 3.4 rating, which tied with quarter one as the lowest rated quarter of the show.
John Cena is apparently not present backstage at the SmackDown! tapings in Kansas City tonight. Apparently he will not be saying farewell to SmackDown, on television at least.

anybody know who TNA is supposedly signing a monday night deal with? I heard whispers of Spike picking it up after Raw's contract runs out, but nothing I'd call reliable. It would make sense for Spike to run it in Raw's timeslot, since the next season of ultimate fighter is set to begin in August and UFC and TNA have been doing some cross promoting with that stupid Tito Ortiz guest ref spot on thier last pay-per-view. It's intriguing, it seems like these guys are finally starting to get some wind in their sails.
Oh, and to all who never saw it, WCW's cruiserweight division was awesome. Rey, Eddie, Dean Malenko, Juventud, Kidman, Vampiro, I can't even remember all of them. The Malenko/Mysterio program was constantly recurring, and it was the only reason I'd tune in to Nitro. They'd finish with their talent by about 40 minutes into the show, which was the perfect time to turn to Raw.

Okay peeps, I'll try to be quick...
http://www.defiedex.phpwebhosting.com/This...is an efed

If you like wrestling, feel free to sign up, even if you've got no role playing experience. The fed is still in development at the moment, but we're hoping to get our first show done soon

The fed is based entirerly on RPing...unlike some feds out there, storylines and angles will be shaped by the RPs, not the other way round. We're very big on people winning their matches because of their hard work and creativity..not because the bookers flipped a coin (unlike some e-feds I could name). If you're not much of an RPer, there are plenty of experienced people on hand to help you improve

As you can see, the site's not finished yet. We've still got a lot of work to do, but please have a look around what's there so far. If you're interested, just leave me some questions in this thread.
You know, looking back over that post...

Aye, so far it looks waaay better than any WWE PPV, no JBL, HHH or any other main eventers who hog the spotlight or don't know how to wrestle.
I mean, when was the last time WWE gave Lance Storm a PPV place, or Y2J and Beniot an opponent they were not expected to carry then job too.
I also want to see Psicosis, I've never seen him, but I've heard a lot of things and want to see if its a hype or not.
And I have no idea who the other two are, but Tajiri's finally back in singles competition and not fighting people with stupid boy-band gimmic jobbers.

Yeah, it's been a long time, and when RAW was in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Lance Storm had his first match since retirement and instead of putting him on RAW they put him on Sunday Night Heat, usually when someone makes a return they put them on RAW, it just shows how badly they misused Storm.
