The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray and D’Von Dudley, were released because their contracts were coming up next month and they couldn't agree to money terms with WWE. With domestic house show business being horrible, this is no time to being asking for a raise. The Dudleyz are said to be looking at TNA and Japan as future options.


Marty Jannetty was released because of a domestic incident last month. Well that and that they just didn't know how to fit him into WWE storylines as he was sitting on the sidelines for about three months.


Dawn Marie had her contract bought out due to her forthcoming pregnancy. Plus with the Diva Search, WWE is getting the feeling that just about all the divas are expendable. Out with the old, in with the new. It didn't do Dawn Marie any favors that she happens to be 33 years old and aging with each passing year and WWE seems to be looking for hot 20-something's nowadays. Plus, many fans have noted at house shows that she was getting out of shape while observing her during bikini contests, although her pregnancy had to have played a part in her weight gain.

Charlie Haas and Jackie Gayda released the following statement on their respective websites this evening: "Charlie and Jackie would like to thank all of the fans who have supported them over the years. Even though they are no longer wrestling with WWE any longer they will still be very involved with wrestling, whether it be overseas, ROH or independents."

Backstage morale in WWE is not good right now to say the least. Many wrestlers are frustrated with WWE for their way of handling things lately. As of this writing WWE has released 18 superstars, some very loyal and long-time veterans of the company, some injured, some pregnant, and some just recently married. These cuts were reportedly made in part of budget cutbacks, yet WWE is negotiating right now for the return of Brock Lesnar, who voluntarily walked out on the company and eventually filed a lawsuit against it. Now, he is being welcomed back with open arms while many others are still waiting for their telephone to ring to confirm their release from the company, as plenty of cuts have yet to be made official on the WWE website yet.

Let us not forget that WWE recently released Matt Hardy for going public with his frustration towards Lita for cheating on him with Edge while he was out with an injury, and are now looking at bringing him back because of the comotion that created.

As far as the guys who were released, Akio (aka Jimmy Yang) will likely find work in All Japan. The others, namely - Spike Dudley, Mark Jindrak, Billy Kidman, Maven, and Shannon Moore will likely all have the option to go to TNA if that's an avenue they're interested in. However, this will have to be once the company is more stable, as for now their programs only air on the internet. If and when things pan out with SpikeTV, TNA just got a lot of new talent to play with for their first few TVs.

19 wrestlers/divas have been released from their WWE contracts within the past 24 hours, making this the biggest firing spree in WWE history. As if 19 wasn't enough, the party is not over. Dave Meltzer is reporting that 8 to 10 more people are set to get cut. You guys may want to make a "fire pool" for kicks.

Oh I get it you guys are okay with giving attitude to people who post their opinions which are harmless and nonfriction on the first one but as soon as they fire back with the same type of attitude you get all upset. You are hardly open minded yourself, tunnel vission is never good.

Did I not say I did not mind wrestling, all I said was that for the purity of it it should be on primetime and not a sports channel.

Just hours before his meeting with Vince McMahon, an optimistic Brock Lesnar sat down with WWE.com to talk about his departure last year, possible upcoming return and more.

"I've had some contractual disagreements with WWE, as well as a lawsuit. But I'm ready now to see if we can do some business together.

"It wasn't easy for me to leave," claimed Lesnar in regards to his 2004 departure from WWE. "I struggled with the decision for a while. I realize people have their opinions about me leaving, and they're entitled to those opinions. That's why they live in America."

After making the decision to leave WWE, Lesnar set his sights on becoming an NFL star. His unsuccessful pursuit to the gridiron was highly publicized, but it was one he still looks upon fondly. "I'm glad I did it. I didn't want to look back years from now and regret not taking that chance," said Brock on his decision to try football. "I'm done with football now, though. Like I said yesterday, professional wrestling is in my blood. This is what I want to do. You only get one life to live, and I'll be damned if I'm not going to live my life to the fullest."

If all goes well between Lesnar and McMahon today, the former WWE Champion still has to consider how he will be received by the WWE Superstars. "I have to take into consideration that this is a business," replied Lesnar regarding any ill feelings toward him. "Hopefully, a return is what everybody wants to see. I can tell you that I will commit myself to be the guy I was in the ring before I left. If there's problems from the boys, that's not my problem. I never had a problem with them. They've been nothing but great to me in the past.

"If I do come back, though, people should be aware that they need to be on their toes," Lesnar continued. "There ain't nobody that can hold a candle to me."

As noted earlier this week by PWInsider, Triple H was at RAW on Monday. WWE management knows that he has been overexposed the last few weeks and have opted to keep him off WWE RAW for the next several weeks. We don't have any confirmation on when exactly he'll make his return.

WWE writer Larry Mollin has left WWE and depending on who you ask, he got fired or left on his own. There were three new writers at RAW who were described by sources as very green and new to the business.

The Coach actually ran the obstacle course at RAW Monday prior to the show and went right through it. Vince McMahon told him to mess-up while doing the obstacle live so it looked somewhat difficult. The joke was backstage that even goofing his way through it, he still did better than some of the divas.

Some of the fanatics started slobbering all over themselves to tell me off just because I have an alternate view.

What exactly did I say that was so offensive in my first post, I'm confused, I insulted no one's intellegence, so tell where I went wrong exactly.

Of course we take insults to wrestling personally...to say nothing of your insults to fans of it (that being us, of course). We've had to put up with far too many mainstream morons, who know bugger all about the industry, or what it's all about, to be bothered with dealing with one more...believe me, you're not going to bring anything new to the dicussion, and the longer it goes on, the more and more stupid we're going to make you look

Back on to something constructive, how does everyone feel abour Brock coming back?

If you read the posts you would know that it was not addressed to you and would have a pretty good idea who it was for.

I was just thinking about that, and it is kind of hard to be a wrestling fan. The WWE/WCW did some damage to wrestling by having these over the top crazy gimmicks(Doink anyone) then when they tried moving forward the aura still sticks. When I say to someone I am a wrestling fan, the person usually gives me a weird look and says "But it's fake" then I pull out my hair. But when you watch the show with some of your fellow wrestling fans or go to a live show, it's crazy because the fans are so passionate and have great energy it makes it worth it

There is no way, I or anyone else could do what they do.

I don't mind wrestling i just wish they wouldn't put it on sports channels instead of real sports. You have to be athletic to do it but it is not a real sport, predetermined outcomes ruin everything.

It belongs on a regular channel like desperate housewives and other soap operas

I do not, and have never had a problem with his decision to leave the company and play football...I think the same now as I did then: that it was his career, and he was free to do with it as he wanted.

What I do have a problem with is the way that, after leaving, he sh*t on the industry, he sh*t on the fans that had made him, he sh*t on his coworkers, and he sh*t on what they do in that ring. I don't particuarly want to see Brock waltz back in to a multimillion dollar contract, no.

Given the crowd reaction when he left, I wonder how they'll greet him on his return

There are some wrestler's that are only answering their cell phones if it doesn't come up a Connecticut number. The release list at WWE.com is in the exact order that the stars were notified yesterday. They had been posting the names of those released within the hour of when they got the call yesterday.

Friends of Dawn Marie say she will likely take her job loss pretty hard especially after she was told by management that she would be able to keep her job despite her pregnancy. She was under the impression that she still would be used on WWE TV during the pregnancy.

Shannon Moore is said to be feeling OK about his release and is very excited about the new opportunities that await him.

And so far nobody has shown they are witty or gifted sarcastically but me, because thats what my percieved insults were sarcasm.

It would be, I would be as happy if he breaks the Masterlock and destroys Chris Masters...

Given the size of Brock, good luck to Masters on even managing to apply it
