Undertaker squashes Daivari with a chokeslam and Tombstone, but the big thing is Hassan summoning 5 or 6 masked men that just kinda look like terrorists to destroy the Undertaker, beating him and choking him out with piano wire. Hassan adds on a camel clutch for extra measure, and if that wasn't enough, the masked terrorists lift Daivari up above their heads like a martyr and carry him to the back.

It is rumored that BSYKB (British Sky Broadcasting) will be editing this weeks edition of SmackDown. It is likely that the full segment where Undertaker was attacked by Hassans 'Group' will be edited out of the show.

This will obviously be done due to the horrendous terrorist attacks in London on 7 July 2005.

Those watching Thursday's edition of WWE SmackDown! on UPN were treated to a visual content warning several times before the terrorist attack angle against The Undertaker, as WWE's taping of the show came before the London attacks. Nonetheless, controversy and discussion over WWE's decision to go ahead with the segment has replaced the roster cuts as the Internet's hot topic.

Both WWE and UPN came to a mutual decision to air the attacks on the broadcast. While some readers with broadcasting experience have contested the claim, the "on the record" justification is that it was not practical to remove the segment and retime the show on such short notice.

One wrestler told PWTorch.com, "I was busy at the live taping and didn't see any of the show except of course the segments I was in. One thing that is important to remember is how hard it is to edit something out of a show (and I haven't seen it yet so I don't know the content). It is almost impossible to edit something of any length out of a show with limited time, which I know was the case with this situation."

Nashville, TN (July 7, 2005) TNA Wrestling streamed its first episode of iMPACT! on Real Broadcast Network last week and reported over 100,000 downloads in the first 48 hours.

New episodes are available every Friday on TNAWrestling.com and previous shows are archived on the site.

TNA’s office has been flooded with phone calls from fans wanting to keep up with iMPACT! since TNA left its timeslot on FSN at the end of May.

The streaming of iMPACT! was initially tested a week earlier, but due to heavy download volume, the show had to be re-launched the following week on Real Broadcast Network using larger servers that could handle the intense traffic.

TNA programming is seen in 118 countries worldwide and fans are gearing up for the next pay-per-view, “NO SURRENDER,” that will air live on July 17, 2005.

So in other words, trying to pick which wrestlers would win title matches..... and who would be invovled in major angles... and trying to get one or two into your group....

Jim Cornette was released of his Ohio Valley Wrestling duties, reported WWE.com on Friday.

Cornette was said to be extremely burned out by his role with WWE's developmental territory. After returning from a 'vacation' designed to get his head back in the game, Cornette walked out of a taping, only to return an hour later.

The latest in a series of incidents featured Cornette slapping an OVW student several times after the student publicly laughed at Marty Wright, a heel, instead of showing fear.

During his vacation, Lance Storm, Tommy Dreamer and Al Snow handled his OVW duties. With Storm also gone from the company, it is not known how the OVW structure will change.

Very much so.... In fact having Carlito, Tajiri, Benjamin and Chavo on raw should lead to some good matches...... Should being the word...

WWE.com seems to be going in a new direction as they've added yet another article catering to the internet wrestling community. This one deals with Steven Richards and how he has no qualms about getting fired for his brutal chairshot on JBL at Smackdown! this past week.

The WWE went through an insider approach with their articles at around the explosion of the internet, thanks in large part to Vince Russo, but when WWE's business went downwards, they opted for a kayfabe approach for the most part. Ever since ECW One Night Stand, WWE has seemingly catered to the internet more than ever before. It should be interesting to see if WWE finally does away with all the kayfabe articles in their official magazines and go back to insider-type articles like Raw Magazine used to have. It should be noted that WWE Magazine sales have slumped badly the past few years.

“JBL had it coming,” claimed Stevie Richards. “It’s that simple.”

Nearly a month after JBL attacked The Blue Meanie at the end of ECW’s One Night Stand, Richards responded with a resounding chair shot Thursday night on SmackDown!

Richards, who was leading the return of the Blue World Order, then watched as his act of revenge opened up a serious and bloody gash on JBL’s head.

“That’s called a receipt,” Richards told WWE.com.

“At One Night Stand, JBL took a cheap shot and went into business for himself,” Richards said. “It was the lowest thing I’ve seen in my 14 years in the business. I was absolutely speechless and appalled at what he did that night, and I’m sure my sentiments are echoed not only throughout the locker room, but throughout wrestling’s entire fan base.

“But it doesn’t surprise me because that’s the type of bully JBL is,” Richards added. “And yes, I called him a bully, just like Meanie did years ago when he was released. But he’s a classic bully and there’s nothing I hate more than bullies, especially ones who take cheap shots.”

While Richards knows he can’t take away the pain his friend Blue Meanie suffered at the fists of JBL, Thursday night’s chair shot does give him some sort of closure.

“I busted him open like I’ve never seen anyone busted open,” Richards said. “We hurt him where it matters most. We embarrassed him on SmackDown!, his show. We showed the wrestling God he can go down any night.”

Still, Richards, who was part of that 11-person WWE Draft Lottery trade, will obviously watch his back as he shares a locker room with JBL every week.

“I’m expecting to get my ass kicked by JBL,” Richards said. “But right is right and wrong is wrong. What he did was dishonorable and had to be answered.”

Richards also finds it strange that WWE never so much as gave JBL a slap on the wrist for his actions. Richards is now keeping his fingers crossed that WWE doesn’t respond to his response.

“Knowing my luck, they’ll come down on me for that chair shot,” Richards said. “But that’s fine. In fact, since this week seems to be a big one for releases, they can go ahead and let me go. I know I did what was right.

- Although WWE appreciated Matt Morgan's work ethic and personality, the feeling was that he lacked natural ability or enough promise to remain on the roster.

- Charlie Haas' release was due to his perceived lack of charisma, which stood in the way of his becoming a top draw.

- Jackie Gayda's release, however, was largely a product of being far too outspoken backstage. "Her mouth got her into trouble," one wrestler said.

- As with Charlie Haas, Billy Kidman was seen as very limited in terms of charisma. His durability was also in question, as he'd been very injury prone in recent months.

Last night’s edition of SmackDown scored a 3.2 with a six share. The UPN Network came fourth for the evening. In the 18-49 demographics, the show scored a 2.0, which was second to CBS' Big Brother that evening.

Matt Morgan who has recently been released from WWE did an interview on his website. He said in the interview that he felt that the draft lottery was done with the releases already in mind and once Carlito Caribbean Cool was moved to SmackDown he was, "just a stuttering giant in a boat with no paddle." Morgan said his last character in WWE was like "being in a fight with one arm tied behind your back" which wasn’t his full potential. He respects WWE’s decision to release him and also speaks on the current Diva Search and more.

Brock Lesnar did not sign a WWE contract yesterday but all indications are that he will be back shortly.

Both JBL and Batista don't appear to be taking part in Monday's SmackDown! house show in Portland as they are advertised for a dark match at RAW. They've been promoting this for weeks in the New York City market.

Big Vito, Axl Rotten, and Balls Mahoney are all scheduled to be at SmackDown! Tuesday. No word on if they'll appear live on the show.

It looks as if Matt Hardy has turned down WWE's offer to return. We should have more on this very shortly.

So was the Meanie vs JBL incident a complete work then or did something real happen between them ever and the WWE just taking advantage of it? .............. WWE is weird at the mo.

Either way its very odd, if Meanie hates JBL so much... why would he jump at a chance to work with him? (that is if this was more then a one time deal)

Last night’s WWE SmackDown! did a 3.2 rating with a 6.0 share. UPN came in fourth from the big networks last night. The 18-49 demographics was good news for WWE, as they came in second, trailing only to CBS’ Big Brother.

WWE.com has removed the video from SmackDown! featuring the “terrorist” storyline with Undertaker and Muhammad Hassan, as of 2:30 PM ET.

Something to clarify here, since there’s been a lot of feedback on this topic - It should be clarrified that WWE sends the ready tape for SmackDown! to UPN late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning. The attcks on London took place Thursday morning, when, as reported by several sources, the final copy of SmackDown! was already in UPN’s posession, not in WWE’s. It wasn’t a WWE decision to go with it, it was a UPN decision whether to air the segment or not. UPN went with it. Surely, WWE could have influenced their mind, though. Just wanted to clarify that.

Steven Richards did an article with WWE.com where he says he's not afraid of a release from WWE and said he thinks JBL got everything he deserved on SmackDown! this week. He also noted that he was surprised WWE didn't take any disciplinary action against him.

WWE.com currently has two online polls on it's main website. The first asks if the bWo went to far in beating JBL on Tuesday night. 77% of you feel JBL had it coming.

There is another poll asking which cover should be used for the Divas uncovered book. Candice, Christy, and Stacy are your choices. Each girl is standing completely nude with the name of the book plastered across the girls assets.

The WWE website continues their JBL-bWo storyline with an interview with The Blue Meanie. He is asked about potential legal action against JBL for the ECW One Night Stand incident. He replied "A lot of people have said I should." said Meanie. "People in my personal life said I should take legal action. People in the professional world said I should take legal action. I have considered it and am undecided. But Thursday on SmackDown!, my lawyer came in the form of a steal chair to JBL's ample cranium." He also added that his month was in tears when she heard what happened to him that night.

The New York Times has a review up of the Hulk Hogan reality series. They don’t really hype up the show at all, saying, "There's just nothing to this new show other than [Hulk Hogan's] persona, and mostly that's not quite enough."

In what many people will find surprising, several people sent word that WWE aired the entire Undertaker-Daivari match, the post-match angle with the men in masks attacking Undertaker, as well as the pre-match vignette with Muhammad Hassan earlier in the SmackDown! show. The show was edited in other parts of the world, where they showed Undertaker pinning Daivari and then cut to commercial.

There are RUMORS coming out of Louisville that on Wednesday, 7/13, former ECW owner Paul Heyman will be taking over Jim Cornette duties of match making and possibly doing color commentator with Dean Hill. We will you keep posted.

With the recent addition of The Coach to the RAW broadcast team, some speculation is taking place within WWE that Jerry Lawler could be moved off the team or even released by WWE possibly. The overwhelming opinion of Lawler in WWE is that he is seen as overpaid of what is asked of him and many feel The Coach can fill his shoes for a much smaller salary. It should be noted that Coach is said to be more popular and social with key members of the WWE production staff than Lawler is at this point.

Concerning the WWE's decision to not seek renegotiation with The Dudley Boyz this past week, one WWE wrestler wasn't said to be surprised of the move at all. "Creative kept telling the Dudleys they were trying to come up with something for them," said the wrestler. "But they never had anything for them. Their leaving doesn't surprise me at all."

Maven's release from WWE this past week left many wondering if he would still pursue a career in pro wrestling post-WWE. Some feel he may end up going back to elementary school teaching, which is the job he had before he was chosen for a spot on the first season of Tough Enough on MTV. Maven's official website is currently asking fans where they would like to see Maven go. The choices include TNA, Ring of Honor, other Indy promotions and Japan. TNA is the favorite with 69% of the vote.

According to reports, Spike TV officials were not happy with the "wardrobe malfunction" on RAW last Monday night during the Bikini Bootcamp segment. Spike officials were not tipped off that it was planned and felt they should have been told ahead of time.

As expected, Todd Grisham did replace the released Marc Loyd on WWE Byte This.

- After this weekend, the newly-WWE-signed CM Punk still holds the Ring Of Honor World Title. Punk defeated two midcard ROH workers in Jay Lethal and Roderick Strong at the Long Island and Manhattan shows, respectively.

- Contrary to rumors, there is no plan for an RVD-led ECW "rebel" faction on RAW. While future ECW PPVs are expected, and former ECW talent will be showing up in WWE, the feeling is that WWE is not going with a full-time ECW return.
